Stately Behavior: The Only Recourse for Poor Judgement
States are beginning to realize that they need to draw a hard line between this administration’s poor judgement, its embrace of global corporate fascism, and its misguided progressive ideologies, as the only recourse to protect their citizens. And States will gradually understand that they need to draw an even harder line between what’s left of their own sovereign economies, and the poisoned global economy that the Federal government is bailing out.

Lies Divide, Truth Unites (Guest Post From Dylan Ratigan)
The good news in America today is that many of the lies from our leaders and media no longer seem to be working. Four out of five people view the current proposed financial reform as ineffectual. Many in Congress who voted for socialism for the rich now look like they will be voted out for continuing those giveaways.
Now the only way those banksters can survive is to pretend that their corporate communism is working even in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Most recently, they decided that instead of taxing complicit financial institutions the cost of their "Financial Reform-In-Name-Only," they will instead use what I call the Big Tarp Lie to pander for the vote of Senator Scott Brown and others.

Site Housekeeping -- Posting Update
My 99 year-old grandmother passed away yesterday. I am away from home now and will be attending services today thru Friday, and so posting will be limited. I will endeavor to check in often on comments and post at least some stories between now and then, but it might be sporadic.
She was born in a small village in Greece in 1910, and was arranged to be married at the age of 15 to my grandfather, whom she had never met prior to his courtship. He was 25 at the time and had been in the U.S. on his own since he was 13, also having come from a village in Greece. After the wedding ceremony, they returned together to Gary, Indiana where he had been working in the steel mills. He died of a heart attack in the mill at the age of 60 in 1960. Sadly, I never met him. She was a widow for the next 50 years.
She is survived by 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, so far.
"The Worst President in My Lifetime" -- Howard Davidowitz on Obama (Classic CLIP)
Howard is always a riot. And this one is a classic. Even if you still support Obama, give this a listen. Truth shouldn't hurt, and Davidowitz doesn't just despise Democrats -- his real target is the out-of-control Washington Spending Machine, which counts both sides as committed members. And for the record, Davidowitz thinks Bush was a disaster. Countrywide Chris Dodd also gets thrashed.
George Carlin On The American Dream (Pass It On)
Truth and profanity warning. Pass it on if you care.
George Carlin On Politicians, The Public And Why He Doesn't Vote (VIDEO)
New clip, not published here before. Runs 3 minutes, not the 4:20 shown. It's harsh in some spots. Garbage in, garbage out. He's wrong about voting. Awakening the non-voting majority would be helpful, but then people have been saying the same for decades...and nothing.

DEBT PARTY USA: Ratigan & Rep. Paul Ryan Fix The Deficit (Seriously Must See Video, Transcript)
By the way, the national debt increases by $5 billion per day. Every day. Even Sunday. And holidays, too. On your birthday, and when you're on vacation. If you did nothing but drink beer and drive a golf cart for a week, the national debt would expand by $35 billion while you sobered up in jail.
James Carville On DEMS Strategy To Hold The House: "The Father, The Son & The Holy Ghost" (WATCH)
ABC News video embedding is among the worst around -- small box, no customization, so you might as well watch it at ABC where it's full size. Carville drops the quote near the end, after the 5-minute mark. The subtext of the sit-down is a new ABC poll showing a majority of voters think the GOP should run Congress, which obviously makes Stephanopolous extremely uncomfortable.
I can't stand arrogant party hacks from either side. This clip has three. Here's a hint to both parties:
Stop the wars.
Stop the bailouts.
Stop the stimulus.
Cut the deficit.
Win the election.
