"The Worst President in My Lifetime" -- Howard Davidowitz on Obama (Classic CLIP)

Video:  Aired July 1, 2010

Howard is always a riot.  And this one is a classic.  Even if you still support Obama, give this a listen.  Truth shouldn't hurt, and Davidowitz doesn't just despise Democrats -- his real target is the out-of-control Washington Spending Machine, which counts both sides as committed members.  And for the record, Davidowitz thinks Bush was a disaster.  Countrywide Chris Dodd also gets thrashed.

---

President Obama is having a rough go of things lately. As noted here last week, for the first time in his presidency, more Americans disapprove of Obama (48%) than approve of him (45%), according to the latest WSJ/NBC poll. And 62% say the country is headed in the wrong direction.

“The American people are right,” says Howard Davidowitz of Davidowitz & Co. A critic of Obama’s, from the start, Davidowitz refers to him as the “worst” President of his lifetime, even worse than of Jimmy Carter, based on:

  • -- The War in Afghanistan: Davidowitz doesn’t see the point. As far as he can tell, after 7 years, hundreds of billions spent, and thousands of U.S. lives lost, the Afghans still can’t defend against the Taliban. Plus, the Afghan government is stealing billions in aid from the U.S. The WSJ reports, $3 billion in U.S. aid has been loaded onto planes by corrupt officials and flown out of the Kabul airport since 2007. “If they can’t be trained, if they’re stealing all our money, all our soldiers are dying. I don’t understand how any of this is logical,” proclaims Davidowitz.
  • -- Out of Control Spending: Davidowitz thinks Obama has wasted time and taxpayer money pushing ‘Obamacare’ into law at a time when the debt-to-GDP ratio is expected to hit 62% by year’s end. “We’re going broke because of Medicare, Medicaid and everything else. He added another benefit, health-care. Can you explain that to me?”
  • -- BP Oil Spill: “It could destroy the country,” he says. Davidowitz fears the continued loss of hundreds of thousands of barrels of oil per day will drive gas prices higher, further choking and already struggling consumer. Meanwhile, he questions why the President waited 50 days to contact BP executives.

Davidowitz recognizes Obama was handed a difficult hand upon entering office, and admits the political system is dysfunctional.  Actually, in the many times Davidowitz has appeared on Tech Ticker he's rarely had a nice thing to say about any politician, regardless of party.

What he'd like to see is a return to fiscal responsibility, lacking these days. "Ross Perot did a huge service to this country when he ran because all he talked about was the budget and what was going on and it forced Clinton to deal with it,” Davidowitz says.

PARIS – France's lower house of parliament overwhelmingly approved a ban on wearing burqa-style Islamic veils Tuesday, part of a concerted effort to define and protect French values that has disconcerted many in the country's large Muslim community.

Hugo Chavez seems to like Twitter as a mouthpiece for power. Since joining the service last April, he's sent 522 messages, sometimes dozens a day, all apparently from his BlackBerry.

But he's not such a fan of uncensored microblogging from the masses. Last week two Venezuelans, a 35-year old woman and a 41-year old man, were charged with making statements on Twitter critical of Venezuela's banking system and face up to 11 years in prison, according to Reporters Without Borders. Fifteen more Internet users may face similar charges in the coming days.

But that was always a caricature; Gore was also sarcastic, droll, and fully capable of playing hard ball. A journalistic colleague I had no reason to doubt told anyone who would listen that Vice President Al Gore had tried to stick his tongue down her throat out of nowhere at a New Year’s Eve party in the mid-90s, when all she’d been expecting was a friendly peck.

It shouldn't be too hard to program a Predator missile to hone in on Hugo Chavez's Blackberry.

"It shouldn't be too hard to program a Predator missile to hone in on Hugo Chavez's Blackberry."

Maybe you should focus your efforts on targeting Obama, Geithner, Paulson or Bernanke instead. After all, THEY'RE the ones robbing you BLIND, not Hugo Chavez.

PS: Why are Americans so intent on KILLING people & ideas they don't like?

PS II: Predator drones are the weapon of choice for cowardly MURDERERS.

WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- I had the pleasure of sitting down recently for dinner with a gentleman who had just been expropriated.

Yes, you read correctly; his assets were seized by a sovereign government. His name is Diego Arria -- the highly regarded former assistant U.N. general secretary who also served as Venezuela's U.N. ambassador. He told me how his 370-acre ranch back home was taken over with much fanfare by El Presidente, Hugo Chávez, the star expropriator.

He pretty much takes whatever he wants from whomever he pleases...meanwhile his economy sucks...mostly because he has driven away foreign investors who are afraid he'll seize their assets...

"He pretty much takes whatever he wants from whomever he pleases...meanwhile his economy sucks...mostly because he has driven away foreign investors who are afraid he'll seize their assets."

Curiously, you can say EXACTLY the same things about the Obankster. The only difference being: Chavez expropiates and gives the assets to the state. Obankster expropiates people's earnings and gives it to Wall St.

PS: Because make no mistake about it: the Obanksters "bailouts" are nothing more than expropiating from the POOR to give to the RICH. I think it's high time someone shot a fucking huge arrow into this BIzarro Robin Hood's neck.

@ DB; your site's becoming CONFUSING dude. Headlines like this one keep re-appearing even tho there are no new posts. Other headlines mysteriously vanish, then pop-up again after days or even weeks. This makes following the discussions very difficult. Re-using pics from previous headlines (other times, not in this case) only adds to the confusion.

While I'm at it; the video link hasn't really been updated much lately. I kinda thought you were gonna add two or three PER DAY. I THRIVE on this shit so I'm always checking for updates. Kudos for your good taste in selecting vids btw.

Anyhoo, please take this as CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. I'm thinking you may need to reformat your site to make it more navigable. You're growing as UNWIELDY as the U.S. Federal Government bro. Except in YOUR case you've done so with style & charm.

Over & out.

rlr...yes the video page should be updated with new clips everyday...it's my fault...the last month has been very busy for me outside of the site...and i haven't gotten back into the groove as far as posting...it will get better...

as for the other issue of headlines popping up...?...i'm not sure exactly what you mean but i want to understand it...so, are you talking about the rss feed for this site or do you mean on the site itself...?...

if you mean the site itself, then i think i know what's confusing you...i will occasionally move stories around on the front page after they've been posted and slipped down a ways...in the case of this davidowitz story i moved it up to the top a second time because i wanted to make sure people saw it...it wasn't moved because of a 'new' comment...

in fact none of the stories moves up or down the page because of new comments...they only move if i decide to switch the order...the wya to follow new comments is with the widget in the right column starting below the last screenshot...

i have no idea if i answered your question but let me know so we can get this difficulty solved...if you were talking about something else let me know...thanks...
