« Anti-Bailout Motivation From Coach Bob Knight: "I'm Tired Of This Shit; This Is Absolute F***ing Bullshit." »
I grew up in Bloomington and experienced 3 national championships. Robert Montgomery Knight was the most dominating figure in the State of Indiana until the day he left. He is a conflicted genius, easy to love and hate, and for most it's both. Ladies and gentleman, allow me to present today's anti-bailout motivation courtesy of former Indiana University Head Coach Bobby Knight. It was secretly recorded in 1986 by a still unknown player, after practice one day prior to facing Purdue.
Warning: profanity
NOTE: The graphic on this clip is wrong. It's not from halftime; it's from after practice one day, mid-season. This tape exists because one of the players placed a tape recorder in his locker and secretly recorded the tirade. Indiana won their 3rd NCAA basketball title the year after this tape was recorded.

Brilliant. Absolutely fucking brilliant. The bailouts are like losing to Purdue every single week. And the coaches, players and staff -- even the waterboys -- get million-dollar bonuses on YOUR dime. I hear you, Bobby. It sucks mightily.
And your analysis was teh same as mine...dealing with the bailouts is like losing to Purdue. I originally titled it that way, in fact.
"You will not put me in that fucking position again. Or you will God damn pay for it like you can't fuckin' believe."
Again? We all lost to Greenspan, Bernanke, Paulson, Geithner & Co. to a RIGGED GAME and continue to lose to Bernanke, Geithner & Co. EVERY HOUR. You better believe they will god damn pay for it like they can't fuckin' believe. I'm not waiting for next season. I am rounding up a posse for some comeuppance if we can't get justice by civil means in the next six months.

"I am pretty fuckin' far from okay. What now? Let me tell you what now. I'm a call a couple of hard pipe hittin' mothers to go to work on the holmes here with a pair of pliers and a blow torch. You hear me talkin' hill-billy boy? I ain't through with you by damn sight. I'm gonna get medieval on your ass!"
I'll bring a few hundred million angry citizens with torches, pitchforks and other creative devices to enjoy the show.
I can't begin to count the number of times I've read comments like yours in the last six months. I've been fed up since I was about 15 so I'm used to feeling a little alienated, but never in my life have I been so ready to just go nuts, so eager to get even. And never have I heard or read so many people talking about revolution in this country -- and I'm not just talking wackos with ammo, either. Look at Dylan Ratigan, for chris' sake -- he's so far gone that he doesn't even blink when Joe S. starts laughing at him. The old Dylan would have had a minor hissy, but not now. Even out here in very quiet (and wealthy) Berkshire County, Massachusetts, people are starting to talk. I've seen at least three letters to the local paper that sounded like Daily Bail material. The last one I read was from a guy in Sheffield (site of Daniel Shays' last stand) who just couldn't believe we weren't on the point of a second American Revolution. This country needs the PFSC (Posse For Some Comeuppance) "like you can't fuckin' believe." We may have it yet. (Just make sure you save me a spot.)
That's the motherf**king spirit Icepop...
His message was Bob Knight is a pussy.
Profanity-laced tirades from famous jazz drummer, Buddy Rich.

My brother attended IU and we were at the game in Assembly Hall when Coach threw the chair across the floor while Purdue player Brian Walker was shooting some technicals. History!
Great story....I know there are some Purdue fans who frequent the site so they will likely get a kick out of it...
I was at the chair-toss game as well...great memories...the crowd went absolutely crazy...maybe the loudest i have ever heard it at Assembly Hall.
