« Bailout AIG: Joseph J. Cassano Is An Irresponsible Asswipe Who Deserves To Spend The Rest Of His Days In Federal Prison »

Some people dislike conservatives.  Other people detest liberals.  Smart people hate Notre Dame football.  Me, I have a problem with AIG and Joe Cassano.  He's the dweebish riptard who ran the un-hedged, hedge fund that destroyed AIG.

I debated approximately 7 seconds before deciding on the above title.  It's late and that means my objectivity is shot.  But it's my personal site and even though I've somehow got thousands of you sick voyeurs stopping by daily to witness my self-destruction, I really just started this blog to tell the truth.  And the title is the only truth that eases my pain.

I made a promise in a previous post that from now until the day he's finally indicted, Cassano's name will be highlighted and linked at the beginning of every post even remotely concerning AIG.

He earned $280 million in salary and bonus while at AIG before being fired last February.  And swallow this, he's still getting a million per month as a consultant to the company he destroyed.  A million of your kids' cash every month.  The actions of this one individual have so far cost taxpayers $180 billion, and as night follows day, the bill will eventually be at least $300 billion.  One guy.  Read the links I've provided and you will see.  Somehow, I need visceral revenge and this is all I've got.

So from me and 300 million pissed-off Americans, fuck you Joseph Cassano, you irresponsible asswipe.

15 links on the piece of shit Cassano and AIG

Thanks. That helped me feel a little bit better. I had no idea one person was so responsible for bringing AIG down.

Why exactly is he on the payroll and not in jail? I think I might have read somewhere that he no longer gets paid the $1 million per month.

This is a disgrace. With Enron, at least people went to jail. Where are the federal prosecutors? Hello, feds. are you paying attention?

Fuck you Cassano.

One day we will look back and be amazed that we were so blind while our leaders and bankers frolicked merrily.

Please do not relent. There seem to be so few voices fighting for what is right. I have lost all faith in our elected and appointed officials.

Unfortunately, everything they told us about crony capitalism turns out to be true.

I think this man should be hung in front of the Chicago Tea party and thats how the protest should start.

Odd picture. I get the impression Cassano does not like being photographed.

@spideydouble

Well it's not an Annie Leibovitz but he has 180,000,000,000 reasons, and climbing, to be looking over his shoulder. I am surprised that he's lost his insouciant attitude because attention to the downside is quite obviously not one of his strengths; nor that of any of his AIG FP, larcenist co-conspirators.

thank you so much for posting this..I had the same visceral rage yesterday when listening to the NPR planet money Monday (3/2) podcast saying because the hedges that AIG sold are for among others european banks, numerous municipalities and even some countries, the US will basically not let AIG fail. Quote from Joe Nocera at New York Times "Other firms used many of the same shady techniques as A.I.G., but none did them on such a broad scale and with such utter recklessness. And yet -- and this is the part that should make your blood boil -- the company is being kept alive precisely because it behaved so badly." and when they say A.I.G, they mean this guy. Am willing to put money toward the Indict Joe Cassano Fund

go ahead and blame it all on george gipp, the single most unintelligent post in the history of this blog, which is otherwise fine
March 5, 2009 | Unregistered Commentersome
Agreed wholeheartedly. I hope he goes to jail for a long, long time. And if not that, then he should live on $15k/year for the rest of his life, just to understand how it is to go from paycheck to paycheck. Such utter bullshit. His CURRENT salary is $147 million. How can you make that much after abject failure?!

I'm in the wrong industry...

Cassano will go to jail. I am confident of this after hearing Chanos say as much on CNBC recently.
March 24, 2009 | Registered CommenterDailyBail

Can this be true? "He earned $280 million in salary and bonus while at AIG before being fired last February. And swallow this, he's still getting a million per month as a consultant to the company he destroyed. A million of your kids' cash every month. The actions of this one individual have so far cost taxpayers $180 billion, and as night follows day, the bill will eventually be at least $300 billion." and we stand and accept this?
