DEBT PARTY USA: Ratigan & Rep. Paul Ryan Fix The Deficit (Seriously Must See Video, Transcript)

Video:  Ryan & Ratigan with impressive television -- July 5, 2010

Transcript is here.  Phenomenal job.  Awesome clip.  Don't miss it, send it to friends, post it on facebook.  Paul Ryan supported TARP, but he understands debt and deficit issues.  So much so that Fred Barnes is clamoring for the GOP to adopt the Ryan roadmap as 2010 party gospel.

By the way, the national debt increases by $5 billion per day.  Every day.  Even Sunday.  And holidays, too.  On your birthday, and when you're on vacation.  If you did nothing but drink beer and drive a golf cart for a week, the national debt would expand by $35 billion while you sobered up in jail.

---

Did you see when Paul Ryan made Obama look like a child during the televised debate on health care, and left the Deficit President speechless.

For Republicans, the road map authored by Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin is the most important proposal in domestic policy since Ronald Reagan embraced supply-side economics in the 1980 presidential campaign. It's not only the freshest, boldest, and most comprehensive Republican thinking, it's also the most relevant. If Republicans adopt the road map as their basic ideological blueprint, it offers them the prospect of a landslide in the midterm election this year, followed by victory in the presidential election in 2012.

Debt and Deficit Truths:

* Federal debt increases by $5 billion borrowed bucks per day.

* In the 20 minutes it took me to write this post, the debt increased by $70 million or so.

* It took us over 200 years as a nation (from 1776 thru 1983) to accumulate a TOTAL national debt of $1 trillion.

* Now and for the foreseeable future we will be adding $1 trillion to the national debt roughly every 8 months.

LASHKAR GAH, Afghanistan—The U.S. has poured more than $100 million into upgrading the Kajaki hydropower plant, the biggest source of electricity in south Afghanistan. And it plans on spending much more, in an effort to woo local sympathies away from the Taliban insurgency.

Yet, one of the biggest beneficiaries of this American-taxpayer-financed project are the Taliban themselves.

WASHINGTON—Iowa Republican Sen. Charles Grassley is "very concerned" about a provision in the financial overhaul bill designed to pay for the legislation, an aide said Thursday, potentially complicating White House efforts to build a filibuster-proof majority to back the measure.

If Mr. Grassley decides to vote against the bill, Democrats would be left with little margin for error when they bring the bill to the Senate floor, which could happen as soon as next week. Mr. Grassley was one of four Republicans to support an earlier version of the bill when it narrowly passed the Senate in May.

HOUSTON—BP PLC said Monday night it had installed a new sealing cap that could halt the oil spewing from its broken well in the Gulf of Mexico, raising the possibility that a nearly three-month long environmental crisis could soon be contained.

It could be another 48 hours before the company knows if the cap has entirely sealed the well. During that period, the company will perform a series of pressure tests to check the well's integrity. Concerns have been raised that the well could be even more damaged than previously known and that another uncontrolled leak could occur at any time.

Assembly lawmakers in New Jersey, the state with the highest property taxes in the U.S., approved a plan endorsed by Governor Chris Christie to cap annual increases in real-estate levies at 2 percent.

The measure, which cleared the Democratic-controlled house 73-4 today, would lower the current restriction from 4 percent and reduce exceptions. The taxes are the prime source of funding for cities, schools and counties.

A federal regulator said it sent 64 subpoenas to issuers of mortgage-backed securities and other entities in an effort to probe whether the firms misled Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, two of the biggest investors in privately issued bonds.

The subpoenas, issued on Monday by the Federal Housing Finance Agency, which oversees the government-backed mortgage titans, could lead the government to recoup some of the billions of dollars that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac lost when they scooped up mortgage-backed securities issued by Wall Street banks during the housing boom.

In other words, Obama will have to ditch “misplaced obligations of civility” and become an authoritarian enforcer in order to emerge successful against the rising tide of Constitutionalist rage that will be directed against the coming austerity fascism.
We’ve all seen the numerous videos of protesters in Greece rioting, fighting police, and even firebombing banks and killing people in reaction to the crippling austerity measures imposed by the government in the name of appeasing the mandates of the European Union’s near $1 trillion dollar bailout package. However, the establishment media as a whole has largely failed to identify precisely what those austerity measures are, and more importantly how they will almost undoubtedly lead to massive social dislocation in the UK and the United States when implemented.

"MY time line likely will be Precise :NOV 2010-2011 ..CIVIL UNREST IN USA"

I think massive civil unrest is NOT a distinct possibility, outside of very specific, limited urban areas (such as Detroit). Let's face it; rebelion is NOT in the American Sheeple's blood ...not anymore.

If there's one thing I've learned about Americans, it's that they have absolutely no spirit of solidarity, empathy or sacrifice towards others. And the further that person/place is from them geographically, the MORE their interest wanes. That's the reason why they accept the fact that their government invaded the wrong country in retaliation for 9/11. That's why they yawn at reports of torture and extraordinary renditions. They don't give a shit about anything until it HAPPENS TO THEM.

That's why they NEED their kids to be sent off to Afghanistan to get whacked by their own troops in a 'friendly fire' incident that's subsequently covered-up BEFORE they'll consider the possibility that their government considers its citizens to be no more than mere human Hamburger Helper for the Corporate Stew they're cooking. Yeah I'm talking about Pat Tillman. Only AFTER he got riddled like Swiss cheese did his sweet mommy decide to complain about the Bushoid and his evil policies. But BEFORE that, she didn't give a SHIT about how many Afghani fathers, sons, daughters and children Pat Tillman himself took-out. Didn't THEY deserve to live too? After all, they were in THEIR fucking country and belonged there, Pat Tillman DIDN'T. The irony here is that I bet the fuckers that shot Tillman probably giggled and laughed afterwards, thinking they'd off'ed just another RAGHEAD. Wait, come to think of it, in a sense THEY DID. Too bad no one got it on video, so that everyone could watch on Youtube the utter callousness of these trained, brainwashed monkeys (I believe that they call them 'marine's or such) that the U.S. is using in Afghanistan.

This complete disregard towards all the abuses perpetrated in their name by the U.S. government against OTHERS will only slowly hit the American Sheeple WAY AFTER their government turned its evil eye against THEM. And by then it'll be too late. I know this because it's ALREADY too late.

U.S. pockets $20.6 bln in sin taxes in FY'09

Americans armed themselves to the teeth and paid through the nose to have a smoke, according to a U.S. government report released on Wednesday.

The U.S. federal government collected $20.6 billion in taxes on alcohol, tobacco, firearms and ammunition in fiscal year 2009,"up 41" percent from the previous fiscal year, according to the annual report of the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau.

Part of the U.S. Treasury Department, the TTB credited most of the $6 billion rise in revenues collected to the increased taxes on the tobacco industry.

Our economy is in shambles, corporate with the help of government has shipped our family sustaining jobs overseas, government wont protect our boarders, appeasing the Hispanic voting block, and the destructive beat goes on.

So! our country our society is being changed to where it's hard to recognize the environment we grew up in.

Lets face it , the eight million lost jobs will never return, the boarder will never be effectively closed, the economy will be in turmoil for years to come if not decades to come, and the prosperous middle class has effectively been decimated.

Should we give up hope and the fight to return our country to it's people and a society that made it great?

I for one would not have created this website if I thought that was the way to go.

Perhaps America can never be fully returned to the greatness it once had, but any improvement that would right the decades of government wrought destruction would be better than allowing it to proceed any further.

Lets get the booms, skimmers, dispersants and every other means available and stop the governments sludge from burying our country and we the people that can and should join together in mass revolution.

We the people of America have the strength, the means and the resilience to fight back and win.

Lets do it.

Since the Great Depression of the 1930s, only one state - Arkansas - has defaulted. That was after it assumed debts of its municipalities to keep them from financial failure.

To make ends meet, half the states in the country, including Indiana, Massachusetts and Nevada, have fired workers in the past budget year and 22 have put staff on temporary leave, the governors group and budget officers association said.

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's administration last week asked a judge to force state Controller John Chiang to slash the pay of almost 200,000 state workers to the minimum wage until a budget is passed. Schwarzenegger and the Democrat-controlled legislature are at odds over how to bridge a $19.1 billion deficit.

Illinois, which is selling $900 million of bonds for capital projects this week, won't let investors down, Governor Pat Quinn told Bloomberg. Moody's Investors Service lowered the state's credit grade last month by one level to A1, matching California as its lowest-rated state.

"Our bonds have always been repaid," Quinn said in an interview at the National Governors Association meeting in Boston July 10. "We have provisions in our constitution that are very protective."

No End in Sight

State fiscal woes will be "just as tough" next year because the economy is on pace to grow at a "lackluster" rate of about 3% a year, Yolanda Kodrzycki, an economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, told a meeting of state governors July 10.

The economy needs to grow at an annual average rate of about 4% in order for the unemployment rate to fall back to 5% by 2015, she said.

Cities and towns faced with a drop in property-tax collections will only add to the problem. Property-tax collections fell in the first quarter for the first time since the onset of the real-estate market's crash, to $107.7 billion from $108.4 billion a year earlier, the Census Bureau said on June 29.

"The road to economic recovery is a long one," Kodrzycki said. "It's a sobering picture."

Watch Out For The Weasel’s Weasel Words - By The Editors of Trends Institute
The Editors of Trends Institute
Thursday, 15 July 2010 15:25

KINGSTON, NY 14 July 2010 — Regardless of topic, not a day goes by without a headline story that uses language that confuses, camouflages, misrepresents, downplays, plays up or otherwise manipulates the subject to support an unspoken agenda.

To stay on-trend it is essential to recognize the “weasel words.” These may take the form of a single word, phrase, or a seemingly innocent descriptive paragraph. It is never obvious, nor does it look like propaganda. The weasel words slither by the conscious mind, unperceived, and register only as afterthoughts, throw-a-ways, or conditionals.

Here’s an example from yesterday’s news: Bloomberg —Trade Deficit in U.S. Unexpectedly Widened in May.

Certainly this headline, to the casual reader, seems straightforward and informative. However, just one word in this very short headline carries a concealed message: “Unexpectedly.” Unexpected by whom? The expectant economists who did not expect it to widen?

What about all those individuals who expected the trade deficit to widen? The underlying, unstated assumption is that if their stable of “accredited” authorities did not expect the trade deficit to widen, no one did.

If this headline was an isolated instance, this kind of semantic micro-analysis might be dismissed as nit-picking. But when it is the rule rather than the exception, this single word reveals an on-going reliance, particularly by media and government, on a limited number of “experts” whose lack of expertise is revealed in the following headlines:

· Orders to US Factories Fall More Than Forecast
· Jobless Claims in US Unexpectedly Increased
· US Consumer Confidence Declines More Than Estimated
· Existing Home Sales Unexpectedly Fell

Add to this list the convenient cop-outs, “No One Saw It Coming” and “Worse Than Anticipated” that experts commonly resort to when they didn’t see it coming and/or failed to anticipate developments. This drumbeat of excuses for missed calls and mistaken forecasts covers up the “experts” personal failings while creating the false impression: since they, the experts, were unable to see into the future, no one else could either.

The elitism and arrogance concealed within the language was inadvertently expressed by Paul Krugman, economist of record for the self-anointed “paper of record,” The New York Times.

“As recently as two years ago, anyone predicting the current [economic] state of affairs (not only is unemployment disastrously high, but most forecasts say that it will stay very high for years) would have been dismissed as a crazy alarmist. Now that the nightmare has become reality …,” Krugman wrote on July 12th.

Implicit in Krugman’s words is that no one predicted “the current state of affairs.” As a ranking member of the exclusive “Harvard/Princeton/Yale White Shoe Boy Club, Krugman speaks for his fraternity. Anyone outside it is, a priori, excluded from consideration.

What this means is that the White Shoe Boyz stranglehold on the mass media prevents opinion other than their own from being widely aired. Moreover, on those rare occasions when a contrary opinion slips by, Krugman & Co. ridicule it as crazy alarmism.

Gerald Celente, having predicted in 2007 that the “nightmare” would become a reality, was accused by the Times of disseminating “Pessimism Porn” (even while it grudgingly acknowledged the accuracy of many of his forecasts).

Trend Lesson: The purpose of this Trend Alert® is not to show that Celente was right and Krugman & Co. were wrong. Rather it is to provide important lessons and warnings that reach beyond economics.

1. Always take a moment to parse language that may, at first blush, appear dispassionate and informative to uncover its subtle propaganda content.

2. Don’t ever let your guard down. Develop a healthy distrust of “experts” and for what universally passes as authoritative analysis.

3. Don’t be intimidated. If you smell smoke, head for the exit even if they call you a "crazy alarmist." Never forget the voice of authority that told the people fleeing the burning World Trade Center, “The fire in the North Tower is under control – go back to your offices.”

Fellow Americans:

Thomos Jefferson faced the Experiment and knew what Banker Terrorist will do to USA Republic
Famous Thomas Jefferson Quote

"If the American people ever allow private banks
to control the issue of their money,
first by inflation and then by deflation,
the banks and corporations that will
grow up around them (around the banks),
will deprive the people of their property
until their children will wake up homeless
on the continent their fathers conquered.

Dr. Ron Paul is Thomos Jefferson of our times.

I wish we had another ANDREW JACKSON right now too:
Andrew Jackson quotes:
Gentlemen, I have had men watching you for a long time and I am convinced that you have used the funds of the bank to speculate in the breadstuffs of the country. When you won, you divided the profits amongst you, and when you lost, you charged it to the bank. You tell me that if I take the deposits from the bank and annul its charter, I shall ruin ten thousand families. That may be true, gentlemen, but that is your sin! Should I let you go on, you will ruin fifty thousand families, and that would be my sin! You are a den of vipers and thieves.

"Dr. Ron Paul is the Thomas Jefferson of our times."

Agreed. Unfortunately though, nowadays most Americans NO LONGER continue to share the same beliefs & values that he and other Founding Fathers held so dear. Heck, most Americans don't even know WHAT those values are!.

The U.S. is DOOMED to a death spiral into oblivion, because quite frankly, it would need another violent revolution to oust the current entrenched corruption that pervades its massively overgrown federal apparatus. But who can dare fight a war against the biggest, most well-equipped army in the world? An army that has already amply proven MANY TIMES over the course of American history that it would have absolutely NO compunction whatsoever in mowing-down its own citizens if necessary, or interning them into concentration camps.

The U..S. Federal government has morphed over time into an EVIL garguantuan behemoth of bumbling stupidity, whose left hand doesn't know what the right one is doing half the time. There's a special journalistic investigation about to be aired soon on America's Homeland Security program and the various government and PRIVATE agencies involved with it. WATCH IT, for an interesting look into the sheer STUPIDITY and EVIL NATURE of these douchebags.
