A federal appeals court struck down the Federal Communications Commission's indecency policy Tuesday, saying the agency's efforts to restrict the use of vulgar language on air were "unconstitutionally vague."
The decision was a major win for Fox Television, NBC Universal and other broadcasters who have complained that an FCC crackdown on fleeting obscenities was unfair and violated their First Amendment rights.
China's leading credit rating agency has stripped America, Britain, Germany and France of their AAA ratings, accusing Anglo-Saxon competitors of ideological bias in favour of the West.
Carlin doesn't vote because he's dead. Of course had he lived in Chicago, he'd still be voting. I went to a Carlin show a year or two before he died. He struck me as a too angry, bitter old man. Maybe if he was a bit less angry, his ticker might have kept going a few more years. But I'm glad I saw him while I could.
Dead people routinely vote in Ohio, as well as the machines changing your vote for you, every time I hit Michael Badnarik, my vote mysteriously changed. The waiting was ridiculous.
Nothing interesting here, move along people... Ignore all that you see around you.

In Ohio, as well as many other states, the ranks of the dead voter pools continue to swell. While it is easy to get/ keep them registered, it is funny that on election day the majority of the dead tend to stay home (seems they remember why they left this world in the first place). Much money and effort is being spent trying to keep these voters in line and focused on anything other than brains, but it is proving to be difficult...
Ohio has even stated that they cannot reveal the ages of voters, as this would be a form of age discrimination. So if you are a 120 year old voter, feel safe in the commitment that your secret is safe between you and the state.
And come election day in November, tell all your friends it is a buffet down at the polls.
It is however funny, that when you die, your social security, medicaid, etc., stop immediately, but the voting booth will always welcome you with open arms...
If you were reffering to the electronic voting machines, the links are above Steve. The other delima was the provisional vote, which allowed many soldiers in Iraq the right to vote, but then were not counted, as well as others.
The exact number of dead voters is difficult to say this time because Ohio's Secretary of State issued a directive to Boards of Elections across the state to withhold dates of births in public records requests. That information is important in positively identifying dead voters.
thx for the links gomp...enjoyed them all...but i actually meant tell me more about how your vote changed when you pressed for Michael Badnarik...what was happening...
It seems that on some machines, no matter what was touched, it made a vote for the incumbent. The only way to know was to review your vote before finally "casting" it with the last button which many do not do. All I was told was that the machines (multiple) must be broken, and they were removed from service.
In review of the links above, it makes one wonder if that was the only statewide problem with "broken machines", or if there were other problems in the function of so many machines statewide as well. As you see from above many machines got to sleepover as well.
I watched many vote while waiting, as they utilized their free will as independent thinkers, and talked to hubbies, parents, bosses on the phone to see who to vote for, or voted by fliers in their hands from the respective herds, I am not to sure how aware they were to accuracy...
I think that might be why there is so much resistance to making sure corporations would be required to equip their machines with printers to provide paper records that could be verified by voters. Computer scientists, as well as voters, are upset by paperless voting systems because we know that even a beginning programmer can write code that displays votes one way on a screen, records them another way, and tallies them yet another way. This can happen for a variety of reasons, including software and hardware errors, or "hacks" installed into the voting machines. These problems can occur even when voting machines have been thoroughly inspected and tested.

OF COURSE, that's the reason Gomps. The exact same reason why the Fed doesn't want to be audited or why the U.S. government doesn't want a truly independant press; it's called AVOIDING ACCOUNTABILITY.
Enjoy the preview too because this BS is 'Coming soon to your local neighborhood theatre'. And Tax Office. And Courthouse. And Civic Center. And Police Dept. And YOUR JOB.
Of course he was, he had a vision of the real US not the bs the "herd" sees while they follow the kill goat to thier death. You should be pissed off also, but you are most likely a product of the US "school system" and have never left USA so you are part of the problem.
