I'd rather buy my apples from her (without the pesticides. I assume her comment is born from the fact that current laws make the use of pesticides mandatory, compliments of Monsanto) than from a supermarket that must offer radiated or chemically treated food. Any person standing up for their believes and making an attempt to offer solutions is a patriot. All the intellectual high fliers here, that vote for the guy most often on TV, supporting corporate America for convenience, holding Treasury Notes in their 401Ks, maintaining large deposits in the big banks enable the politicians and give them the cash flow to keep going with making laws as the lobby wants them too.

I bet if you where called to Jury duty, you would do what the judge tells you to, ignoring your fiduciary responsibility to also questions the validity of the law. A jury can override law if it is stupid. Become an informed juror. http://fija.org/

Respect to the lady for standing up. That's much more than 300M other Americans did today for their freedoms.

If you know it better, why not offer her to help her cause for people to have access to healthy food. I just realize how sad it is to write those words "Right to access healthy food". Civilization has gone to hell in a hand basket. This should be the ultimate reason for the smart and the passionate to unite.

Well said Amy:

She's forgetting one thing though, our Founding Fathers out in place a system that we could all have the same opportunity to peruse happiness, NOT the guarantee that we'd all have the same result....The only threat to democracy is people voting themselves entitlements from the government....That's called socialism..

------------

Pfft, really? You call this a "well-said" comment? I suppose you think the Bill of Rights is socialism, along with other "entitlement" programs for the mass population, including social security and medicare. You might as well throw in insurance policies as socialism, because safety nets are basically what you're describing as socialism. Never mind the fact that socialism is the substantial control of the production and distribution of goods by the government rather than private enterprise, AND in which cooperation (i.e. corporate welfare) guides economic activity instead of competition!

And the biggest threat (not the "only threat") to a democracy is GREED!!! That's when the top 1% are paying-off politicians so that they can have all the power, benefits, and wealth while 99% are working poor, starving slaves in a military police-state. That's the ideal USA for republicans.

For decades now, lobbyists have been paying-off politicians to get their corporate welfare. Obviously, the USA is already a socialist government. And the politicians (from both major parties) in Congress want to call that capitalism.

I was a slave on the east coast where they believe in that kind of stuff and my wife was a maid in china and we worked picking vegetables from the vegetable trees, but we were replaced by the machine that made everthing for us. So we moved to the the new west coast. We chose not to move to the old west coast. Here the food is free except we have to pay for the land and pay the farmers.

Since the above note, time has marched on. The Wall Street looting continues, since the Wall Street Trout Farm continues to convince the S&B pirate Bush41's young fat boys that "They caught the Big One." The freemasonry is going to cover Iran and the opinion of the war threat being a method to raise profits manufacturing arms is borne out. Iran was stabbed a few times by the Black Cabal. The New York state and Big Apple governments continue to run interference for the 9-11 perps, who have had everything from their birthdates to their bank accounts listed for the legal justice system in the shadows preparing to drag them backwards into hell. If they did not consider themselves chosen to enslave, bugger and murder us, I could imagine reconciliation. The Talmud made a promise, and the corrupted Biblical scripture convinced the less than wise, and the contempt for life demonstrated by their risking the total destruction of humanity through radioactivity dissemination from their self-destructing Fukushima plant or the ocean current and climate damage from the DH oil well blow out proves that this "go zai tzu' must be put down. Fulford, I love you like a brother, but we have survival to consider, and that means that a healthy world comes first, second, and third. Any royalty able to mix up good compost rather than be incorporated into it would know this.

That was painful. "The food is free, so we should sell it at the farmer's market".

She may be as dumb as a bag of hammers but she is sincere in her willingness to do her part in standing up and speaking out as part of the process of government for, by and of the PEOPLE.

Wow. Does she work for Monsanto? Didn't she get the memo that employees are not supposed to eat the crap they foist on the rest of us? We should make things and put them in the store - see there is the admission - they DO make things and put them in the store. We had better hurry and get the GMO monsters behind bars or we are all going to run around talking like that.

Well, you wonder why those middle eastern women wear scarves over their mouths. This young lady has good intensions but forgot that land is taxed, agriculture requires cheap labor and men would like to know her for one reason. You can read her full proposal after it has passed vote in Congress. You can be smart too if you watch Sesame Street. YupYupYupYUp
