Or four for four...it's Politico...what is in the water lately???

Republicans are continuing to telegraph their opposition to health care reform by filing another petition that would force the House to vote on repealing the legislation.

Rep. Wally Herger (R-Calif.) filed a discharge petition Tuesday that would get rid of the Democrats’ health care reform and replace it with a Republican alternative.

Illegal residents arrested in sweep

Seventeen eastern Europeans detained in overnight operation

Copenhagen Police throughout Tuesday night and Wednesday morning arrested a total of 18 foreigners across the capital on suspicion of illegally being in the country or other crimes.

Officers were on the hunt for especially eastern Europeans illegally living in the country, and arrested 17 people from Bulgaria and Romania and one US citizen.

The arrests took place in disused warehouses and partially burnt down buildings in Frederiksberg and Copenhagen, and seven of the arrests were made in a former postal building on Njalsgade.

This was the same site that a number of Romanis were arrested in July. They were amongst 23 people expelled from Denmark in August in a move that has led to a debate about whether EU citizens can be kicked out of another member state.

EU laws state that there has to be a significant violation of the law before someone can be expelled.

Tea Party coverage is nothing new here:

"With surprising alacrity, the Chicago Tea Party has already come to be. ... We suspect this will be the most important event for taxpayers of this nation in 236 years. Dive into this primer on our last big tea party...

Taxpayers finally have a leader and he is one of us. For newcomers, his name is Richard Santelli and he toils daily on the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade..."

neither represent me...i would say i support the original tea partier ron paul...

part of the reason bachmann and palin don't do it for me is their social agenda...ron paul does not have the same agenda...not even close...he would legalize drugs...end the drug war...they would not...ron paul would end both wars -- iraq and afghanistan.,..bachmann and palin would prefer to bankrupt the country fighting overseas...bachmann and palin love the military-industrial complex...

i can continue...

So, not really the Tea Party but the Ron Paul Libertarian Tea Party. Maybe you can't have one without the other?

The God-O-Meter is going off. What does Ron Paul believe?
Aug 11, 2010 at 11:53 PM | Unregistered CommenterZ
z..palin and bachmann are late to the tea party...the tea party has nothing to do with social issues and EVERYTHING to do with debt/deficits/spending/corruption...

and ron paul destroyed both bachmann and palin in straw polls at CPAC and one of the big tea party conventions...
