This is good news and nothing new. In the past, these crashers have had media passes like Katie Couric and Gloria Vanderbilt's son who likes to call it by a term that refers to what he likes to do when in Soho and San Fran.

Because if there IS this might be a good time to pickup some Lipton & Co stocks. Probably the only USEFUL thing to come out of it anyway...

This was common practice in the 1960's. Some historians believe that the violence of the 1960's was almost completely caused by infiltrators and agents provocateurs from the FBI and CIA.

A recent television presentation about the San Francisco earthquake maintains that it was the United States Army's decision to dynamite major sections of San Francisco that caused the city to almost burn to the ground: The dynamite they used to make fire breaks started most of the major fires.

Let's hope that yet another honest, grassroots movement is not being infiltrated by the FBI, and even the CIA which is capable of calling it an international threat, just as they did the peace movement of the 1960's.

As for the violence in the 1960s, maybe they were Soviet agents.

If the IMF is the real goverment behind all of this, you can bet with the deep pockets they have, that they will spend what ever it takes to take down the people of America.

If you cant fight them, join them. If the food store is selling more food than you are at your store....................................buy him out. Compate aguinst your self........

Money buys anything. Evan dead Tea Party'ers. It wont be out in the open. It will be after the cameras go home and nobody is looking.

Im afraid key people will just show up dead......................................Reamber, taking down almost 3,000 people on 9/11 ment nothing to these power hungery people. They'll do it again if they need to put down the strength of the American People.

They neaver thought we would ever wake up after sleeping for almost 100 years, "Wrong" !

It will be hard to spot the imbedded monster within the Tea Party. Look for the people that are to good to be true, and trying to hard to be your friend.

I dont think a shot will be fired. There are cleaner ways to get bodys to lay down on the ground and be silent...........................? Something to think about....? It worked for Hitler, it can work again.

Am I going to a Tea Party.........................................."Not On My Life" ! Im staying "Up Wind" ! !! !!!

This has been going on our entire history, when we won our Liberty, the English were supposed to leave. Instead they moved to the interior to continue the exploitation of our resources in the Kings name, and continue being agent provocateurs for a return to England, and central banking.

Hence the War of 1812, Civil War, etc., etc., Federal Reserve..., you get the point.

"It will be hard to spot the imbedded monster within the Tea Party. Look for the people that are to good to be true, and trying to hard to be your friend."

Good one Dar, as stated below,

"our men must attend and direct its movement, or else there will be set on foot such antagonism to our designs as may require force to overcome. This at the present time would be premature. We are not yet ready for such a crisis. Capital must protect itself in every possible manner through combination (conspiracy) and legislation."...

If they cannot outright take over the movement, they will implant "idiots" to discredit the movement.

I think that if a real threat started evolving that would take power from the elite control of the country. We would see martial law and the Constitution would become as George W. Bush stated nothing but a damn piece of paper. They wouldn't think twice about using force at the present time or any other time in the future. Look at history, they won't give up easy they never do.

@ RLR,

"It IS time to pick a side, hmmmmm."

INDEED. And *I* myself have chosen to side with the Taliban.

They have a MUCH greater sense of DECENCY than America.”

You obviously do not understand the Taliban, you call them brave, etc.. You speak of Hitler and China in high terms….

“Hopelessly out-financed, lacking proper technology, suffering from inferior formal military training, they took-on TWO world superpowers back to back ...and KICKED *BOTH* THEIR ASSES !!!

ANYONE that admires fighting courage, dedication and gumption has GOT TO BE rooting for these guys.

I know *I* am ! “

If they had true courage, they would not hide among women and children, they would wear uniforms, and they would stand up and proudly earn their 72 virgins, which would not take them long.

We (Reagan) trained them to fight modern Armies, we gave them 1 billion a year for ten years, they have not kicked our ass, they refuse to actively engage. Unless it is your brave notion of murdering, they are very adept at that form of high cowardice…

The U.S.S.R. collapsed due to the inability to be able to sustain itself, nothing more. But don’t worry, contrary to the Reaganites beliefs, Communism is alive and well for all non Liberty loving S.O.B.’s to enjoy.

You have spoken in the past of your desire to leave America, so why are you, or Ken here, since you profess the same? If you truly want to help the Taliban, go join up. They have a bomb ready for you to wear to go murder non combatants with, and receive your virgins. Or go purchase and shoot some heroin to financially aid their cause, if you O.D.ed, you would be killing two birds with one stone.

“*STOP MURDERING PEOPLE*”

What do you call it when the Taliban murders people? Glory???????

“PS: I've decided to LUMP all Americans together as EVIL, based on the fact that the U.S. federal government has adopted EVIL as its INSTITUTIONAL POLICY.”

Choose the heroin, they need the cash more. By the way, if your girlfriend/ wife dumped you, would you switch teams because of it?

Strictly rhetorical of course.

and may posterity forget

Zarathustra. Some of them were undoubtedly Soviet agents. And probably East German and Chinese too.

But most of them were home grown.

As Sam Gompers said, "This has been going on our entire history."

Even with all the American secret agents and agents from abroad (they had better be able to speak perfect English, however, and know American culture perfectly) change can still takes place. Let's not indulge in cynicism now.

In England, around 1820 (English historians please elaborate) the English were perilously close to an American style revolution when the democratic process intervened.

England was crawling with the King's agents and spies, but the House of Lords was marginalized anyway,

It happens. Some people think of the American Senate as a modern version of the House of Lords.

Think about it.

This whole "Tea Party" thing has been wierd right from the start. I think there is truth to the idea that generally pissed-off moe-rons often call themselves tea-partiers, but their anger is incoherent. It is for that reason that I refuse to consider myself a tea-partier.

And now, we've got a different group of morons trying to infiltrate the first group? Isn't this kind of like poisoning poison?

I think we'd all do better to focus on the issues, not what color to paint the clubhouse.

mark,

The local tea party people 'round here aren't exactly morons. Most (not all) are more mainstream GOP than I will ever be, but they understand the fiscal issues and the command-and-control issues. There are a couple of groups who are 912'ers and they like Glenn Beck, but at least two of the groups are explicitly NOT GOP. It says so on their websites. One affiliated group is libertarian. And another group is, as far as I can tell, just pro-constitution, regardless of party. I've yet to see anything racist or "crazy." Remember, too, that something like 23-30% of the tea partyers are Ron Paul supporters. Don't write them off. (personally, it's on my calender this week to figure out which of those groups to start working with -- now they'll probably think I'm some kind of "infiltrator" LOL! wish me luck)

Sorry to paint with too broad a brush, James.

I have residual anger on the Bernanke re-confirmation. I never heard these so-called leaders call for Bernanke's head (certainly not Glenn Beck and worse, not Ron Paul either). To me, that was a genuine inflection point missed.

Some people want things done, some want to march at rallies and some people just want power. I have doubts that this movement knows what to do, or how to do it. The financial crises of 2008 has become America's solvency crisis of a year yet to be determined, with the US taxpayer ultimately on the hook for 95% of all new mortgages via Fannie, Freddie & the FHA; and the FDIC (which stands for "Federal Deposit Insurance Corp") insuring corporate debt and hedge fund speculation. Law enforcement and justice (which are the only things we really need from the government) have become things of the past.

Can you show me a "Tea Party" website that puts these issues front and center? In my opinion, the discussions keep getting further and further away from things that actually matter. "No big government" is lame. I want a government that kicks in Hank Paulson's door and takes every nickle he's got. "Hard Money" is a coward's argument, because we will return to hard money...only after half the world's population has died from famine or war. So if that's somebody's big issue, you can count on them for absolutely nothing when it comes to criminal activity in a fiat money system.

But all that said, I hope your right about the Tea-partiers, James. I just can't say I see it.
Apr 14, 2010 at 5:19 PM | Unregistered Commentermark mchugh
I don't support the Tea Party's platform but I think grass roots movements are healthy in a democracy. Mob rule is not healthy but there is little danger of that in America.

Some people call Nazism and Communism grass root movements. But they are wrong because both movements were highly organized revolutionary movements that had been around for at least ten years in Germany and far longer in Russia and China. They all had very strong, well-armed fighting units that liquidated all opposition.

Hardly grass roots movements. Why is everyone so afraid of the Tea Party movement?

I'm not sure, James S,

I wanted to add two thoughts to what I wrote before:

I have a friend who doesn't vote because (he says) he objects to the electoral college (really)

And sometimes I think these tea-partiers are about as relevant as revolutionary war re-enactors.

And I swear, I'm not trying to pick a fight with them....Just get a coherent, workable plan. That's all I ask.

An Army doctor is under investigation after questioning on YouTube whether President Obama is U.S.-born -- then disobeying orders to report for duty in Afghanistan.

Lt. Col. Terrence Lakin failed to report to Fort Campbell, Ky., on Monday, showing up instead at his old job in a clinic in the Pentagon. He was reassigned immediately to Walter Reed Army Medical Center while the investigation is under way.

Though officials in Hawaii verify that Obama was born there, so-called "birthers" claim he was born outside the U.S. and is ineligible to be president.

Lakin says he wants to see the birth certificate as proof Obama is his commander in chief and thus that the deployment order for Afghanistan is legal.

McCain: Time to 'pull the trigger' with Iran

Email this Story

Apr 14, 10:02 AM (ET)

BY ANNE GEARAN

WASHINGTON (AP) - Senator John McCain says the United States has been backing away from a brewing fight with Iran, while that country moves ever closer to having nuclear weapons.

McCain opened a Senate hearing Wednesday by saying that Iran will get the bomb unless the United States acts more boldly.

Speaking figuratively, the Arizona Republican says the U.S. keeps pointing a loaded gun at Iran but failing to "pull the trigger."
