Meet the New Leader of the Tea Party -- Rand Paul

The Next Senator from Kentucky and the New Leader of the Tea Party (Photo)

---

UPDATE: RAND PAUL WINS!!!

Paul -- 59%

Grayson -- 37%

---

From the AP:

In Kentucky, Grayson had the support of McConnell as well as other establishment figures. But Paul countered with endorsements — and the political energy that flowed along with them — from tea party activists, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and Sen. Jim DeMint of South Carolina, a conservative eager to push his party rightward in advance of the broader fall campaign.

According to his website, Paul, 47 and an ophthalmologist, is a "career doctor, not a politician." He favors a balanced budget and paying off the national debt over time, but the website mentions no specifics.

He opposes all federal bailouts of private industry and government subsidies for alternative energy sources such as solar and wind power.

He has called Washington lobbyists a "distinctly criminal class" and favors banning lobbying and campaign contributions by anyone holding a federal contract exceeding $1 million.

The race marked the third time that tea party activists, a collection of disparate groups without a central political structure, have placed their stamp on Republican races.

---

Dr. Pitchfork here.  Anyone who opposes all federal bailouts and calls Washington insiders for what they are -- a "distinctly criminal class" -- is my kind of candidate.  Rand has been predicting a "Tea Party tidal wave" for some time.  Looks like it's coming.

By Dr. Pitchfork

Move over, Sarah Palin.  Tomorrow night, Rand Paul will be the new, de facto leader of the Tea Party movement.  In the Kentucky Republican primary for the US Senate, Tea Party candidate Rand Paul holds a double-digit lead in the polls over former Democrat and all around establishment hack, Trey Grayson.

The results of tomorrow's primary will look something like the following photo:

Yep, the fat cats (and the establishment Republicans who protect them) are about to get tea-bagged.  And they know it.

In addition to being a rock solid fiscal and constitutional conservative, Rand has made THE BAILOUTS a centerpiece of his campaign, and he can be expected to bring his anti-bailout focus to both the Tea Party and to the national political stage.  Watch Rand in just about any public speech or television appearance -- the bailouts are usually the first thing he talks about.  Grayson, meanwhile, has been all too cozy with the kind of insiders and lobbyists that work for AIG, and with bailout Republicans like Mitch McConnell.  The mainstream media have had their eyes on this race for a while.  With Rand spreading his message as the GOP candidate, expect the MSM to begin connecting the Tea Party with voter anger over the bailouts.

Hats off to the people of Kentucky and to all the Kentucky Tea Party groups who have helped make this happen.

Hey DB, does that confuse your position on the Tea Party? You are a supporter of Rand, right?

Does what confuse my opinion..?...

And in a possible crazy ironic twist, I wonder what influence Rand (Assuming he gets elected) will have on Ron's presidential election in 2012. As a Senator, Rand will be able to sway other Republican insiders to support the ideas of Ron Paul. At the very least, I doubt this time the republican criminals within the RNC will no longer be able to exclude Ron from the debates.

zara...Okay. I get it, tough question.

Don't patronize me....go read your original question again and ask your self if any reasonable person would have any f'ing idea of what you meant by 'that'...

You are a waste of my time...

This man is neither the TEA party leader, nor a leader of me individually...he merely is lucky enough that the TEA party consider someone that loves his country....nor is that woman from Alaska...

DB...

I challenge your agenda and I challenge some of the unfair and unbalanced nature of your posts.

Maybe you can't handle my insight.

Maybe you can't handle my insight.

Zara...And by insight you mean stuff you make up in your head...

your comments on Dimon were embarrassing because you were trying to use them to show how smart you think you are, and you failed to realize that the entire basis for your comments was completely wrong..i callled you on it and now you are making things up...

Just think about the insane argument you are making...

Dimon originally said NO to the Bear deal...the FED panicked and offered JPMorgan a $29 billion dollar back-stop...dimon changed his mind...the deal got done...yet your thesis is that the FED had leverage over dimon...

Are you even thinking straight...the FED had to offer $29 billion to get the deal done...they had no power over dimon...

"DB...

A challenge!!! Choose a caber toss DB, and I would consider it a honor to be your second, I can squash the pinhead.

As to insight, the royals are known for their frailty and feeble minds, as well as blood disorders related to family trees that closely resemble telephone poles.

"I challenge your agenda and I challenge some of the unfair and unbalanced nature of your posts."

I may not share Steve's exact same taste for which specific brands of 'tea' we prefer, but I MUST state that the gentlemen HAS ALWAYS abided by his public Mission Statement and to THAT fact, I bear witness;

-->"... we exist to fight the immoral transfer of trillions in debt from private banks onto the backs of future generations"

THIS is what he does day in & day out. You know Zara, sometimes I think your sole purpose and intent here is to sidetrack issues and muddy the waters as much as you can. Shouldn't you be out somewhere MOLTING at this time of year anyway?

"Maybe you can't handle my insight. "

Handling YOUR 'insights' sometimes seems to require an advanced degree in clinical psychiatric medicine.

Back OT; I knew NOTHING of Rand Paul until just NOW. It seems the fruit did not fall from the tree in his case. That's nice.

Frankly tho, I find myself COMPLETELY BURNT -OUT when it comes to granting ANY politician easy credibility. ONLY Ron Paul merits MY complete loyalty & support, based on his extensive TRACK RECORD for CONSISTENCY, RESPECT FOR RULE OF LAW & PERSONAL HONESTY.

THIS is the ONLY man I would pick up a weapon for if needed.

"THIS is the ONLY man I would pick up a weapon* for if needed. "

PS: * the only weapons I posess at this time consists of two sling-shots and a mighty plastic boomerang that CAN STING LIKE HELL if it catches you just right with the edge.

Oh yeah FUCKERS ...let's not even GO THERE....

Court grants asylum to Obama’s aunt Zeituni Onyango...Boston Herald...

Onyango’s status as an illegal immigrant was revealed just days before Obama was elected in November 2008. Obama said he did not know his aunt was living here illegally and believes laws covering the situation should be followed.

In his memoir, “Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance,” Obama affectionately referred to Onyango as “Auntie Zeituni” and described meeting her during his 1988 trip to Kenya.

Onyango helped care for the president’s half brothers and sister while living with Barack Obama Sr. in Kenya.

Must-see, long-lost video of Obama's real father singing at his job. The resemblance is almost UNCANNY. Good voice too.
I understand the Obankster always sheds a few tears when he hears it.

"Dr Pitchfork "?

I LOVE him already!

I'm sorry to have to point out the fact that Rand Paul will not get himself elected. Everything going to heck in a hand basket will get him the votes.

The GOP is more than happy to let him swing in the wind in the Media Circus. The Dems also would prefer placing second to "None of the above" than see him stand on the floor of the senate trying to pull back the curtain on "OZ".

If the rest of the campaign goes the way of the Rachel Maddow show, he is going to leave a funny taste in every voters mouth because he lacks the acutely political skill sets needed to keep his detractors off-balance.

He should have asked her what exactly the federal government is supposed to do about the fact that even in this day and age, despite all of the legislation enacted at the federal and state level, why we still have segregated proms at public schools in the south. He could have asked her if it was okay with her if he passed legislation to forcibly make white and black students in the south attend proms together. He could have asked why she was badgering him about what to do 30 years ago instead of addressing the problems we have in the here and now. And then moved immediately on to the real important problems of the here and now, like you see on the Daily Bail.

Like boob drumming.
