There will be no double dip recession. Rather, when the artificial stimulus which has temporarily masked the world's Greatest Depression is finally shut down, and we finally stop extending and pretending, the Greatest Depression will then resume.

Wil, interesting idea. Awesome writing. But for those of us not in the know, would you mind filling in some of the hypotheticals for us? E.g., exactly what kind of "bets" against the interest rate going up are you talking about (JPM's interest rate swaps?), and how does this screw the U.S. and not, say, JPM and its counterparties? I'm afraid I lost you at the denouement.
