The push has started. Boehner is a war-mongering Bush throwback, and basically useless, while Dr. Ron Paul is the natural ideological leader for the new class. Stranger things have happened.

Wishful thinking from Daily Paul...
Michelle Bachmann stated she would not vote for John Boehner if another acceptable candidate comes along. Dr. Paul would prove, once and for all, he is serious about this movement succeeding, and would be in an even better position to run for president in 2012.
What's it going to bel? Who are you, Thomas Jefferson, who bravely defied John Adams and the US Supreme Court, or Ronald Reagan, who talked a good story but did not leave a single domestic accomplishment that promoted liberty.
However, just 2 weeks ago Paul did light up Boehner on Fox...

It's much better to have a honest person who does what he believes in (even if it is in many ways different from what I believe) like Ron Paul than someone who claims to believe in the same things I do, but does whatever the highest bidder wants (like almost all politicians in the Republicrat and Demolican parties).

I think that's a huge part of the appeal of Ron Paull to both sides...everyone sees him as honest and trustworthy...i mean the guy sticks to his beliefs so strongly that in the end he DIDN"T vote for his own audit the Fed bill because it was part of FinReg reform that he didn't support...
Most don't remember that audit the fed passed with a 'NO' vote from Paul...
Ron Paul just likes saying "I told you so."

I actually seen one of these about 4 years ago, I think.
"running as an independent for the Presidency is probably a waste of time UNLESS you're already incredibly famous and can attract votes and attention through your fame...Paul doesn't have that...but i get your point..."
The real issue for a Independent is the hurdles placed in the way of getting on the ballot, in addition to people knowing who you are.
Go get em Ron, Boehner has done nothing for the people he represents in Ohio, I expect the same from round 2 as Speaker.
