Why Ron Paul Leads The Real Anti-War, Anti-Government Tea Party And Sarah Palin Is A Neocon Buffoon

Don't skip this one.

Ron Paul gives a stirring speech at the Tax Day Tea Party in Washington, calling for an end to big government and a return to a sensible foreign policy.  Listen as Paul annihilates the military-industrial complex and the neocon mandarins behind the curtain -- Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Krystal, Gates.

Ron Paul is America's leading voice for limited constitutional government, lower taxes, a non-interventionist military, and a return to sound monetary policies.

Have you seen this:

Hilarious.  Palin only got 7% of the vote.  How quickly her star has faded now that she's on Fox News and people get to see just how intelligent she is on a daily basis.

Excellent discussion.  Anderson Cooper actually gets it -- that the original Ron Paul movement was non-partisan, idea-based, and attracted followers from the entire political spectrum.

Ron Paul

I spent a few hours putting this collection together.  Give it a listen.  Some head-to-head battles between Palin and Paul.

Never thought I'd see the day when Ron Paul had a realistic shot at the White House. Now he does, as his anti-Fed anti-war message resonates with people in a way their traditional parties cannot.

Sarah Palin is an absolute drip. I also hear she's a compulsive liar. Not a combo this country can afford.

Obama's a jagov we're stuck with for awhile, unfortunately.

It'd be great to see a candidate with a brain and some banker bloodlust. I'm aware of none, however, which makes me think Moither Nature will address our problems before we do.

I don't agree with all of Ron Paul's Ideas but, I do agree with most of them. Out of all the potential presidential candidates, he is the only one that makes any sense to me. The others are ether pets of the special interest elite who have no intention of working for the best interests of the people or defending the U.S. Constitution. Or empty headed rabble-rousers who if elected wouldn't have any idea how to work for the best interests of the people or how to defend the U.S. Constitution.

I want my country to be A Constitutional Republic as it is supposed to be, not this corrupt mess of a Corporatocracy that is ruled by a small group of blood sucking parasites who don't care if the rest of the country ends up in poverty. As long as they have all the wealth life is good and the have-nots (which is what they call us middle class fools) better keep paying their taxes so they can have even more wealth.

We need to wake up and smell the roses... wrong... actually we need to wake up and smell the s**t we are being buried in and do something about it.

I'm a lifelong Democrat, even today I think that Obama is a lesser evil than Bush (and Democrats at large tend to be slightly less evil than Republicans), and I'd vote for Obama's second term if the other choice was passing the White House on to Palin, Boehner, Jeb Bush, or any of the other likely candidates.

However, I would clearly support Ron Paul over virtually any Democrat if he was running.
I disagree with quite a few things he believes in, but unlike pretty much anyone else in either party, he gets the most important things right:
- End the wars, introduce a sane foreign policy
- Don't let the weapons and oil companies run the country
- Restore constitutional rights

Even if those 3 points were all I could agree on with him (I agree with other things he stands for to some extent, usually not going as far as he does), he'd have my support, as even those 3 points are not agreed upon by mainstream politicians.

B&Osuck,

I agree completely! I know I'm pretty liberal in my opinions, but more than ideology is important today when you're choices have become BAD versus WORSE (and I value both social safety nets and civil liberties HIGHLY, more highly than the money in my pocket). After Obama I lost all hope of a president who wouldn't just bend over and do what the corporate masters asked. (I know, I know, I'm an idiot for thinking otherwise but I'm young). And I'm still despondant over the apparent willingness of the American public to be treated as cows for the feeding of the elite. I am "at the ready" with my vote but honestly I feel powerless when I consider that the average person knows more about who is on Dancing with the Stars than who is running for president. If Ron Paul has a chance, somebody will probably kill him.

ETM,

Hang in there. You're not alone. All we can do is keep trying to raise awareness until the time is right.

"but I'm young"

So how old are you?

Interesting post.

27. Still in school (PhD). When I say young I mean I am still struggling to figure out the world and how it *really* works. Over the last two years I stopped listening to TV and started getting news online. I started paying attention to the world outside the US. Now when I go back to TV it's like watching from the outside. They frame debates in a way where both sides are a loss. Should the unions be castrated or should the state go bankrupt? (those are not the only two choices but they present it that way). You see the "overton window" effect time and again.

When I was very young I was an unthinking conservative (took everything from my parents' mouths). Later I reacted against that (mostly because of civil liberties), but I was still default agreeing with the democratic points, for the most part. Forging my own set of opinions, gathering evidence, and judging for myself is honestly hard. And I have no real faith that the rest of the country will begin doing it anytime soon.

What field?

Physics. At least I can be somewhat optimistic about jobs when I get out this year. Doesn't change how I feel about what is happening to everyone else.
