Investigation: US ATF Secretly Arming Mexican Drug Cartels

The SHTF at the BATF recently when one of the hundreds of guns they purposely allowed to be bought illegally in the U.S. was directly linked to the killing of U.S. Border Patrol agent last year.

We wouldn't normally cover this kind of story, but it turns out that the Department of Justice was closely involved and gave their approval to the ATF operation, just as they colluded with Bank of America to destroy Wikileaks and Glenn Greenwald.  The ATF whistleblower in the clip above claims that when he went to the Justice Department's inspector general with his concerns, he was ignored.  Unbelievable.

When it comes to financial crimes, the DOJ has been totally AWOL, but in this case they just plain screwed up -- massively.  And the irony of all ironies is that when the government actually intends to enforce the law, as they ostensibly did in this case, they go about it by hatching a plan to deliberately not enforce the law, hoping to land bigger fish later on.

One has to hope that the family of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry will sue everyone responsible in this tragedy.

For the record, this is just another game, played by "our" politicians, to do away with the second amendment. Very reminiscent of "our" government's flooding the streets of this country with drugs in order to wage war against the Bill of Rights.

Letting weapons go across the border to kill American Border Patrol personel. I know weapons are smuggled into Mex. But to have the Govt., if this is the case, send this type weapon into a foreign country, this is nuts.

He was elected, by you, to protect and defend our borders, not to give weapons to people who want to kill US citizens

In addition, the Los Zetas were founded in the late 1990s by about 40 soldiers who deserted from army special forces to work as muscle for the Gulf Cartel. Their name comes from the radio code for top army commanders.

They are elite "special forces" of the Mexican military trained in the U.S. at the School of the Americas at Fort Benning, Georgia and sent to "wipe out" one of the most powerful Mexican drug cartels.

But these soldiers deserted and became the muscle for the very cartel they were supposed to destroy.

And now "we" are sending them weapons...

There is no irony here. There was no intention to enforce the law. They know what they're doing. We need an investigative reporter with the likes of Gary Webb. Something fishy going on here.

The irony is that the U.S. has always been directly involved in the drug trade ever since the Opium Wars in China, viz., Skull and Bones charter members and founders, and the CIA in the Golden Triangle and Vietnam, Central America via the Contras, Afghanistan now and the production of heroin that went from zero under the Taliban to exponential growth today.

So, it's not surprising that "the chickens are coming home to roost" to pilfer a Malcolm X retort when he was asked about JFK's assassination.

In February 2001, a man/woman calls my office and said s/he had information about a radical group that operates out of Afghanistan but has "sleepers" in this country. S/He said if s/he was supplied with a small make shift pipe bomb and was taught how to make pipe bombs s/he would gain credibility within the organization. For a nominal fee, of course, information would be supplied on the plans and whereabouts of the "sleepers". Of course, the plan would have never been approved by the politicians within the DOJ because it was too politically risky.

Couple hundred thousand dead, two wars later and several trillion dollars wasted (unless of course you are private security firm operating out of Iraq, Pakistan or Afghanistan) maybe an outside of the box approach would have been a little better.

Things are almost never black and white unless you are a criminal banker who admits to stealing trillions from the middle class, ie- Warren Buffett, Hank Paulson, Ben Bernanke, Timothy Geithner.
