The most trusted man in America was saluted and celebrated on MTP last week. The clip is a very touching interview between Cronkite and the late Tim Russert from 1998. The Kennedy assassination is the subject of their discussion.
Any time, a man of the stature of Walter Cronkite dies, a small part of me as well as many, many Americans dies along with him. We all seem to be dying a little (bit- by-bit) quite often these days with no visible replacements for these fallen leaders (these heros) in sight.
Pray to God that our great leaders of the past will be replaced by new leaders with genuine love and respect for the general welfare of this great Country. We are in tremendous need of a great leader who loves this Country.
I would say that he was a key intelligence operative who helped bring the country to the state it's in now. He was a big fan of world government, too. Just read about him or perform an Internet search.
More broadly, though, your post makes it sound like we had these great leaders in the past. I'm curious who you are referring to. Most of the decent ones in the last 100 years or so ended up dead, set up, or driven out by a dubious scandal. Also, we don't need a great leader as much as we need a change in people's hearts and minds. And, as they say, be careful because Satan sometimes comes as a man of peace.

Too true. It is depressing to be reminded of this.
I received the following video in an email form a reader yesterday...I thought you might enjoy watching it and writing a short summary for the site...no pressure at all just thought it might lead to one of your excellent rants that we all enjoy so much...
Your comments about the BCCI film were practically insurrectionary in Eric Blair's way of describing things. In any case, the clever ones in the evilarchy have brought the US to the straits of Scylla and Charybdis, so lots of folks are going to join you in questioning the debt-industrial complex.
