The "plan" of the "man" is NOT constitutional, but dictatorial. It wasn't enough for Obama to merely assert the legal right to murder american citizens when and where he deemed; now, with passage of the NDAA, he asserts the legality of arresting and imprisoning american citizens arbitrarily, without recourse. Obama is a vile, duplicitous, traitorous president, unfit to be called a leader. And the most generous thing that can be said of any person arguing that Obama's despicable, unforgivable actions are part of a greater plan for the greater good is that they are deeply delusional. A pox on Obama. And a pox on Andrew Sullivan!

1. Keeps Gitmo open. 2. Signed NDAA 3. Resigned The Patriot Act. 4. The Enemy Expatriation Act 5. Bombed Libya 6. Supported 16 Trillion bailout by the Fed. 6. Sued Arizona's Immigration Law 7. Fast & Furious 8. Obamacare 9. Authorized assassination of US citizens. 10. Disastrous economy.

Nice one Enzo. The article is awesome but I am tired of whining Americans. It never stops. American people(Like Jeannette): Either get him out of office or shut up already. Do you all need to be on house arrest before you realize that this lunatic needs to NOT be making executive decisions?

I think Americans generally like to whine more than they like to act.

Well, there is one campaign promise he kept; he frequently mentioned "redistribution of wealth", and that he has certainly accomplished!
But I think that peanuts for the poor and $16,000,000,000,000 for Wall Street is not what people had in mind. :(

When he lived in Indonesia, his Mum worked for USAID and the Ford Foundation. The head of the Ford Foundation in Indonesia at that time was a fellow named Jim Geithner.
Timmy's dad.
So did little Barry and little Timmy play together? What games, we wonders...

Lili,
We fully intend to get this "lunatic" out of office, exactly 294 days from today. Come next November 6th, 2012, Obama will no longer be in the White House, by reason of being kicked out of office by the electorate. If you have some specific plan or other
legal means by which we, as unhappy, disgruntled Americans can expedite Obama's departure, please inform us. We really,
really want to know how to throw this oppressive, nauseating asshole off our backs as soon as possible. Tell us, please.....

Will not bother or lacks the courage, to expose the real mass murderers of about 3,000 persons, including Australians, on 9/11.

Alternatively, he is so dumb that he does not know that science trumps 'bs' official government '9/11' conspiracy theories , always.

Lumping the top end of Australia with 2,500 US soldiers soon. (If his soldiers want tp piss on anything then, they can 'piss off'.)

Giving Iran the shits, (and the whole of the Middle East) just for someone else's profits.

Showing up the whole of the Australian Federal Government as being; 'as dumb as'.

Making idiots out ot the Australian security agencies, by having them believe the 'BS' 9/11 government conspiracy theory.

Duping our Australian 'pink batted' Federal politicians to do as he says for others, including; continuing to invade, kill and maime.

Making me waste my time, even thinking of the jerk and our home grown simple jerks. So I will stop!

Jeanette is an idiot.

But how about increased spying on Americans, increased drone warfare murdering innocents, targeted assassinations of anyone he deems a terrorist threat on his word alone, Gitmo and other blackholes still up and running, indefinite detention, healthcare written by the insurance industry, Gaahhh

Tomorrows headline.....

Why is Newsweek so Ignorant?

From Wikipedia....

The magazine was sold to audio pioneer Sidney Harman on August 2, 2010, for $1 in exchange for assuming the magazine's financial liabilities.[3][21] Harman's bid was accepted over three competitors.[22] Meacham left the magazine upon completion of the sale. Sidney Harman was the husband of Jane Harman (D-CA), at that time a member of Congress from California.

Sad to say, I voted for him too! I won't make that mistake again.

After watching him roll over on every one of the campaign promises that were the reason he won the election, I think Obankster is the most accomplished liar to ever set in the Oval Office.

And bowing to the leaders of other countries. Since when does the leader of the most powerful nation on earth bow to anybody?

Although, I think the most disgraceful thing he's done was to have the Dali Lama escorted out the service entrance of the White house. So the Chinese wouldn't get pissed.

More on the Newsweek/Jane Harman/MIC connection...

Damning the Damnable Jane Harman

“The Marriage from Hell: Jane Harman & the Woodrow Wilson Center”

http://www.boilingfrogspost.com/2011/12/19/damning-the-damnable-jane-harman/

[snip]

On Friday, December 16, Boyajian wrote another damning exposé on WWC in Foreign Policy Journal which went, of course, largely underreported. This time, the focus of the article was on the new president of the Woodrow Wilson International Center (WWC), another oily persona, another woman with a past, another representative: Jane Harman. I am sure you remember her massive scandal involving espionage-AIPAC-Israel that was quickly covered up and forgotten by the US mainstream media. No?
How about Harman’s role as ranking member on the House Intelligence Committee in failing to protest when briefed on the Bush administration’s illegal wiretap program and voting for the Iraq war authorization? Come on, even Dick Cheney confirmed that Harman knew about and approved of the program. We all know she got where she got by being good at being a lap dog and an oily one. Let’s add ‘savvy’ to the list of Harman’s adjectives; by that I mean savvy in being damningly oily. The woman knows how to redirect or turn off spotlights to hide her glistening parts: have some control of the spotlights switch. She sits on the board of Newsweek, and maintains intimate relationships with the media puppeteers.
All right, this time let’s go back to Boyajian’s exposé and just stay there. Enough detours. The title of the exposé alone is revealing: “The Marriage from Hell: Jane Harman & the Woodrow Wilson Center”.
Several months ago, this Congressionally-created, multi-million dollar think tank, funded partly by taxpayers, made another colossal blunder. It hired former eight-term Congresswoman Jane Harman (D–CA) to be its president, replacingLee Hamilton, also a former Congressman.

Harman, like Hamilton, is not only part of the good-old-boy (and girl) network of which the WWC is so fond. Among her other baggage, charges of illegal conduct in a spy scandal involving AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee) have shadowed Harman for years. Let’s take a closer look at Harman and the Wilson Center to see why they’re the marriage from hell.
Oh yes. Boyajian unabashedly puts this glistening woman and WWC under a magnifying class damningly and invites readers to join and see for themselves. I’ll list a few damning excerpts, and then let you go read the entire piece. Here is Harman and her AIPAC scandal:

Harman would persuade the Justice Department to reduce the charges against Rosen and Weissman; in exchange, AIPAC and its influential supporters would persuade then-Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi to reappoint the unpopular Harman as top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee.Harman apparently promised the “Israeli agent” to “waddle into” the AIPAC scandal “if you think it’ll make a difference.” Harman ended the exchange with “this conversation doesn’t exist.”
The Justice Department and CIA wanted to prosecute Harman. But Alberto Gonzales, President Bush’s Attorney General, reportedly refused because – ironically – he “needed Jane” to support the government’s ongoing warrantless wiretapping program.

Perhaps it is time to huddle together in prayer and thank the gods for a warrior President like Barack - his leadership in pursuing the goal of ending terror and freedoms across the globe cannot be denied. He has already been awarded a Peace Prize which is the litmus test of global responsibility. His grasp and partnership with Wall Street continues to stimulate a growing recovery across the nation. He is also almost single-handily creating a more secure America with laws meant to increase our diligence agaisnt 911 sponsors like Iran and North Korea. We must follow this course to ensure the continued leadership of the free world. Those that do not understand this should indeed fill the FEMA camps and show them the value of freedom and the cost of being traitors!!

Once again, the American electorate is left to hold their nose and vote. Does anyone here really believe that Mitt won't continue to follow in George Dubya's or Obama's footsteps?

Nope.

Much as I hate and loathe Obama's lost tenure as Pres., he may be a tool of Wall St. finance vampires, oligarchs and upper crust congenital morons, but Mitt is a Hedge Fund hyena. Honestly, why can't we have an actual Progressive instead of Wall Street puppets? Why can't we have a Democrat like FDR instead of Carter 2.0 or the third term of Bush jr.?
Also: Mitt Romney is the son of an illegal immigrant from Mexico, and grandson of Mormon polygamists.

"Does anyone here really believe that Mitt won't continue to follow in George Dubai's or Obama's footsteps?"

Of course not! These individuals along with most of the present and previous governments of the U.S.A. are puppets with elite, corporate, big business fists up their butts. Money, power, the perks and conveniences of the ultra rich are their destination, the citizens of the U.S.A. are bricks in the sidewalk they and their masters walk all over to get there.
Jan 18, 2012 at 12:25 PM | Unregistered CommenterSagebrush
This election is simply a "damned if you do - damned if you don't" Pick your poison. Vote out Obama and elect Romney. The Mittster will do an even better job representing the interests of the corporate aristocracy as he is a card carrying member. Re-elect Obama and who knows what you get. I voted for Obama, but not again, and certainly will not vote for the Mittster or any other current candidate on the Republican side.

There is a scenario that would be fitting given the fractured and dysfunctional state of affairs that exist. An alternative candidate might emerge who pulls enough votes to force the election to be determined by the House. If that happened, all bets are off and anything could happen. With a Congress that's already owned by the filthy rich, guess what kind of choice the House would make!

So, go ahead, send Obama packing. But please, don't kid yourself by believing this in itself will fix anything, because it won't. This nation reached a crossroad on 9/11, paused, and then moved in a direction that has destroyed our democracy. Restoring it will take more than casting a ballot.

Quite of few of these comments indicate disappointment. It seems to me that the disappointment comes less from what Obama has actually done but more from the illusion that Democrats are capable of walking the talk. The 1% run the 99% principally through the electoral fraud called the Two Party System. Whoever wins the presidency is fairly irrelevant as the 1% gives the marching orders.

A brief look at US history shows that most progressive legislation passed as a result of active movements. NOT by either party. in its concern for the vast majority of the American people. The eight hour day, the child labor laws, the withdrawal from Vietnam, Civil rights legislation, Social Security etc. were passed because the 99% made their voices heard OUTSIDE of the TWO PARTY SYSTEM.

Any person who thinks that justice, transparency, democracy, or equal opportunity will result from being involved in the two parties is, in my opinion, deluded.

Third parties as currently constituted are also a mirage. Vote for Perot and get Clinton. Vote for Nader and get Bush.

Has anyone considered that many of BHO's actions in his first three years, along with all the manipulation of the currency, are eerily reminiscent of things/events which transpired in the build-up to Nazi Germany? REALLY, look at the evidence and compare. Civil rights being squelched in the name of "national security", chief executive taking unconstitutional actions, appointing "czars" and subverting the "advice and consent" function of the Senate, etc. etc. Are we even going to be ABLE to replace this president?

Oh dear, there we go again, comparing the busting of unions, the denial of liberties given by the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, subverting of voting machines, police used as occupational forces, and saying it is similar to the nazi takeover of government. Hmmm, dear people, you are on to something. Now what. We continue the charade or do what. You know and I know, but no one wants to say it.
