Obama Can't Throw A Baseball (Opening Day Video)

Video:  Obama lobs ceremonial 'first pitch' of the 2010 MLB season

Video:  Obama is interviewed by game announcers after the pitch...

President Obama tossed out the first pitch at Nationals Park Monday afternoon, throwing high and wide to start the Washington team's opener against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Obama drew a mixture of cheers and boos from the crowd as he strolled out onto the field wearing a Chicago White Sox cap in a nod to his hometown team.  It was his first trip to the stadium since taking office.

"A little high and outside," Obama remarked after his pitch.

I'm pretty sure James H.'s 7 year-old daughter has a better arm.

LOL. She's only 5, but yes. Yes she does.

Barry throws to the left and is a lefty. Why am I not surprised. The Agitator in Chief even puts on a WS cap. DB, did he stand for the National Anthem?

Tiger Woods returns to golf in Augusta... with an army of 90 bodyguards

The unprecedented security is in place because of fears he may be confronted by one of his 15 alleged mistresses.

The bodyguards are thought to have been given photos of his alleged lovers, including porn star Joslyn James who has threatened to picket the tournament with a group of friends with megaphones.

One guard said last night: ‘None of these girls are allowed anywhere near him. If one photo comes out of a beautiful lady touching him, it would be a disaster.’

PHOENIX -- Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio is implementing a new inmate program at Tent City Jail called “Pedal Vision.”

The program uses inmate-powered cycles to generate electricity for televisions.

Reports say Arpaio’s recent visit to Tent City inspired the idea, when he saw that many of the inmates were overweight.

Obama may not be able to throw a baseball, but he can FELLATE a Wall Street bankster like NO OTHER. Why ELSE do you think Goldman Sachs elected someone with such sensuous , puffy lips?

The only thing that really matters here is that my beloved Phillies stomped the living crap out of the Nationals (11-1).

But yeah, he throws like a girl. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Sarah Palin throws better.

Anyway, the Fightin' Phils picked up pitcher Roy Halladay and third baseman Placido Polanco in the off season. Can't find the final pitch count, but Halladay got through 6 innings on 72 pitches!! And Polanco had 6 RBI's, including a grand slam! I know it's a long season, but that was a great start.

Here's a great slow-mo of Obama bringing the heat. Plus an audio clip in which he can't name a single White Sox player -- not a single one. However, he does know that they used to play at "ComiNskey" Park.

Actually, every president since Ronald Reagan has been left-handed with the exception of George W. Bush. Maybe that's why W was such a lousy president. He was too far to the right.

good line james s, but bush was lousy for so many reasons that have proved to be bi-partisan...fighting illegal wars, bailing out the bondholders of wall street and the failed banks, running massive deficits, assaulting our personal liberties and privacy...

obama has shown that he's the equal of bush in every respect...and he surpasses him on deficits...

Maybe I was too harsh - that's about how most right handed men look when throwing the ball left-handed.

Wait a second.......He's obviously not a White Sox fan....Probably not an American......maybe he's not left handed either.

Either way, that's not a Change-up you can believe in.

The Art of the Steal!

As we enter the closing stretch of the baseball regular season, a season where the NY Mets have a better record than the NY Yankees this late for the first time in ages, it only seems appropriate that today’s note has a baseball tie-in!

Regretfully, the tie-in has to do with pickoffs and stealing…

The term “picked-off” is used in very different ways in baseball and in dark pool trading.

In baseball you have a player, and the bastard is trying to steal a base! Only when he is napping, can he get picked-off, and his 2nd base – theft thwarted! The picking-off stops a theft in progress!

On the other hand, in dark pool trading this whole picking-off concept is very different. it is done by offenders, and not defenders. The pick-off in a dark pool does not prevent stealing – it is stealing, and it works like this:

You rest passive midpoint hidden orders in a dark pool to accumulate your portfolio manager’s positions in manner that is supposed to be non-aggressive.

Trading occurs so fast that quotes change extremely rapidly.

Short-term high speed traders know that many dark pools are slow to update their quotes. When the NBBO changes, they swoop in to the slower venues and “provide liquidity” to your passive order at an old price.

The execution you receive is always to your detriment versus the actual price in the market.

The short term high speed trader has “intermediated” you. They picked you off and pocketed the difference between what they made by executing for themselves at the current actual market price versus the old stale price that they filled you at….
