Watch Obama’s Jobs Speech In 35 Seconds

Video - Obama's Jobs Speech Before Congress - Sep. 8, 2011

  • "Pass this jobs bill..."

Guess what?  It's not going to pass, and it wouldn't help, even if it did, despite genuflection from Geithner.  Repeat after me - we are in a depression created by easy money and a 30-year debt bubble that grossly distorted housing prices versus median incomes, and until housing falls back to historical norms, and bank and household debt deleveraging run their course (5 more years if we're lucky), the economy will not recover, Keynesian delusionsaries Krugman, Delong, Romer, Reich, Galbraith, Stiglitz, Koo, Bernanke and Obama be damned.

The full speech is below for anyone who can tolerate it.

(Reuters) - A jobs program in the Southern state of Georgia, cited in President Barack Obama's plan to fight unemployment, needs big fixes and would not work as a federal initiative, says the official who runs it.

The White House really wants you to know that the $447 billion jobs plan that President Obama outlined in a speech to a joint session of Congress Thursday night has support--that is, from unions, liberal groups and other Democrats.

The White House Press Office sent nearly 50 e-mails to reporters overnight with statements of support from the president's allies, including The International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Democratic lawmakers, The Center for American Progress, the mayor of San Francisco and members of Obama's own Council on Jobs and Competitiveness.

Can someone tell me without sounding like or perpetuating discrimination of any kind what is the meaning of the term "Race Card"!

I ask because I read a piece of mail that everyone should be interested in.... I think? You see it was in Yahoo News and it was Obama speaking about the Unemployment percentages. Guess what? They were really bad. Yes. I'm not joking. Look it up. They are really bad. But I didn't realize they were especially bad for the "African American". I guess that's something we all missed in the calculations? I mean......SAY IT ISN'T SO!

And to think all this time I thought it was Obama's responsibility to employe the people while he was in office? Didn't know that was only something they just got too. Geez?? AND, Bring home the Troops?????? Don't they keep dying over a war I know little about because....I'M NOT THERE EITHER!!!!!!!!........... Huh? I'm dumbfounded.

It's a good thing though that he AS PRESIDENT can point out all the problems and wrong doings between his EXTREMELY BUSY SCHEDULE......... Ya know? I'm so sorry Mr. President.

I just didn't realize any of the problems your campaigning about did not have a thing to do with you Sir. I'm gonna change my VOTE back to you Mr. President!.........................
