These knuckleheads are just a damned mess. How can I explain this to my youngest son, whose homework assignment it is to watch this clown contest.

I think you are already doing him a favor by letting him know that it is a media circus. Teaching your son at a young age to look beyond the Blue-Red, Left-Right nonsense gives him a big head start on figuring things out for himself. Tonight's debate provides an opportunity to look at our history of military imperialism. Here's a good speech:

I was thinking, if we can have a foreign policy debate every 4 years, whey the hell haven't we EVER had a presidential debate on the state of our inner cities.
