That President Obama would send Frank Wisner Jr., to Cairo this week to clumsily help Mubarak negotiate his exit is just the latest installment on a long history connecting generations of American and CIA interference in repressing democratic movements.

Okay, Obama has screwed the pooch so far on Egypt. We all know that this is going to result in another UN peacekeeping mission. With all of the Great One's community organizing skills, he has yet to figure out what to do. I guess Saul Alinsky rules are more about stirring up the trouble rather than making the world a better place. You would think a guy from Kenya would understand the mind and mentality of that region. Oh well, another Carter moment for Obama.

A source in the border town of Rafah said security forces of the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas, which rules Gaza, had been providing the troops with supplies for the past three days.

Israel has blockaded Gaza for over three years with the assistance of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak's government, and half the population depends on handouts of staples from the United Nations.
