The peasants are waking up to their 30year fixed rate bondage and this is dangerous. It is like some major awakening....happening all over the world at the same time. Whilst our leadership falters and cannot appease the masses.....a recipe for complete anarchy. Please console your friends and neighbors, as this much turmoil is not good for a society. We will get through this but lets PLEASE keep demonstrations civil. We cannot blame those whom have taken so much for the actual taking of it but we should blame ourselves for letting them take so much over our lifetimes. Every day you live a portion of your freedom, liberty, and economic well being is being stripped away. Please educate yourself and others of the power of the VOTE. Make the change through a civil process and not through brutish violence. YOUR Country deserves better......AB

Hey, DB--

I really wanna see the Boston clip, but only have my stupid Blackberry, which for whatever preposterous reason won't play the clip as you have it. Any way you can drop a youtube link in?

Also, here's another vid from NYC. Apparently many protesters were arrested on the Brooklyn Bridge by police, who then gave their loved ones the runaround as to their whereabouts.

The peasants are doing just what the Liberals want. Cause enough unrest so Obama will have to step in and control it. How blind they are.

rex, the alternative view is that TPTB actually WANT you to think like that -- that all resistance is hopeless. It cuts both ways, my friend. Better to die on your feet than live on your knees, no?

The focus of the protesters is misguided.

Consider the following article entitiled "Blaming Wall Street Is Wrong"

Wall Street is just as wrong as Washington; government being the brutal middle management for the psychopathic owner class. The real failure is empire culture, civilization, the agricultural city-State.

Blaming Wall Street is wrong? That puff piece is a pile of misinformation. First, the author never once copes with what are now undisputed facts: Wall Street banks engaged in systematic robo-signing, committing fraud on the courts in millions of foreclosure lawsuits: Wall Street sold mortgage-backed securities that were either (a) not mortgage-backed at all (lacking promissory notes altogether), or (b) were loaded with notes known to be toxic, and yet rated AAA.

Second, the author states--with no evidentiary support whatsoever--that the #Occupy movement has been co-opted bt "the Left"--whatever that is (the author doesn't say). That's absurd. I walk by the protesters every day in Chicago. They say they're the 99%. Their signs say "restore our laws" and "indict." I fail to see how the enforcement of black letter law is a left or right issue.

Third, the author says the protesters' ire should be directed at the D.C. Fed. This too is totally ridiculous. The primary dealers who levered up on credit default swaps, then got bailed out at 100 cents on the dollar, owe their sacred status to the New York Fed, not D.C. Oh yeah, and most of the primary dealers who shorted the American housing market are FUCKING FOREIGN.

Finally, before you label me a leftist, answer a few questions: you ever meet Ronald Reagan? You ever play with lego's in Jesse Helms' house? Ever shoot the shit with Billy Graham on the phone? 'Cuz I did.

The refusal of what is now preposterously called "the right" to insist that laws be enforced and that capitalism be allowed to ferret out the sick dogs on Wall Street is absolutely disgusting. Actually, it's revolting--which is really what these protests are about.

You see all these "Anonymous" figures all over the place on YouTube and in these demonstrations...

Have you ever thought who "Anonymous" might be?

Anonymous may be a lot worse than Brooklyn police leading sheep onto a bridge.....

What would be to gain? Martial law? Internet censorship? Anything to get people's minds off the fact that the people have been raped and pilfered by certain people in positions of power....

rex, When you refer to the American people as peasants, it's obvious whose side your on.
If these protests become as large as it's starting to appear they may become, those Liberals your talking about along with a bunch of conservatives and other banksters will be seeking political asylum in China And India.

Do you have your seat booked yet?

Jack Spratt, The American people are standing up! Little puffs of smoke here and there across the country. On Wall Street and and some of the financial centers across the U.S. the smoke is turning to fire.

Of course (" certain people in positions of power") will declare Martial Law. They are already making sure the corporate propaganda mills, or if you prefer, Main Stream Media is saying very little about the protests, and what they do say portrays the protesters as malcontents with no idea of what they are protesting. They will probably shut down the net and the cell towers and start arresting people by the thousands. Sooner or later the shooting will start because some cop thinks he can shoot people who refuse to give up their rights as American Citizens. The elite can't stand resistance, they'll push back hard. when they do it'll be like a drum of gasoline on a campfire.

Can you say Firestorm?

It's on!... and the genie cannot be put back in the bottle. However peaceful this protest may be now, it will become confrontational and the law officers will the be instigators of the violence that's certain to come.

Americans finally waking up from their stupor is the most refreshing activism I've seen since the 60's. Power to the people then and power to the people now. Damn right!!

1%' s, its time to start worrying.

Cheyenne, the OccupyBoston crew will start their day at 6:30am... just in time for the morning commute. I also understand that they are a bit unhappy about the media blackout by a couple of television stations, which may be a part of tomorrows schedule. These folks look like they are here to stay.

Yup. So every day that goes by without coverage is a good one in that MSM is further discredited. This is a good and amusing thing.

Excellent, Dr, P.

Here's a young comedian addressing the crowd. Anyone laboring under the foolish delusion that this movement can be characterized on tired, useless and frankly boring left-right lines would do well to take note of the bits that draw the most laughter.

No one is saying the Fed is without blame. We're simply pointing out that absolving Wall Street is madness. Cheyenne made it abundantly clear in his comment.

Hugh--

I fail to see what's so laughable. What exactly do you find so amusing about not holding known criminals to the letter of the law? Let's be absolutely clear on this point: there will be no economic recovery until Wall Street's ongoing theft from Main Street is stopped. You, my man, are being fleeced, and yet you sit on the sidelines cheering your own perpetrators.

You don't condone criminal behavior, do you?
Oct 3, 2011 at 1:03 PM | Unregistered CommenterCheyenne
@Cheyenne- "You don't condone criminal behavior, do you?" - Of course not! Who am I; Al Capone?

My original post on this topic was to point out that the focus of all this rage should be on the Federal Reserve as well as a handful of powerful families in the City of London who are the DIRECTORS of this debacle. Wall Street is guilty of many things and rightfully deserves the scorn and wrath of anyone who has been paying attention; that includes me and apparently many others posting to this site. Wall Street is not the cause, but a symtom. The PLAGUE is the FED! Think about it. The PTB want ALL the blame to be pinned on Wall Street. And by directing all this energy/rage at Wall Street they're merely chopping at an appendage when we ALL should be cutting out the heart of the " Creature".

If you will read the links in my previous posts, it should begin to crystalize.

Bottom line: perhaps we're perusing the same book; just temporarily on a different page. At least for the time being.

Peace

You know, I am really glad that they are taking over Wall street, etc., but one thing really has me worried. The only people we have to take over from the ashes of this society will be the great brainwashed people who believe in the second coming, that 19 ragheads did 911, and that Al Qaeda is real. What kind of a society will they put in place of the current one?

So ya gotta start at the bottom and work yr way up as high as you can go............It starts with any local bank that kicked someone out of thAre house for No Need........

To slit Wall Streets throat is as close as anyone of us are gons get to the Fed..................cut it realy wide so the "Rif-Raf" can fall out on the side walk.....................

Jan 16, 2012 at 9:58 PM | Unregistered Commenterchiller
Getting rid of the Federal Reserve is the first step in taking back our nation. The flood of communist in the early 1910-1920 destroyed much of our nation. The communist got us into the first world war and it caused the war to last a couple more years.

If a central bank is needed it clearly should not be designed by the bankers and especially one lord rothchild which clearly has no interest in keeping the USA strong.

We need to pull back and stop being the "friends" of foreign powers who milk the wealth and get our kids killed in wars for their benefit.

There is nothing wrong with taking care of our own.
