REPORT: Senior ATF Agent In Charge Of Fast 'N Furious Gun Running Program Was Also Working For JPMorgan

Nice hire, Dimon.

Is there any fraud, theft, or border-patrol murder that doesn't have JPMorgan's fingerprints on it.

Meet Deputy Assistant ATF Director William McMahon

Washington Post

In an unusual arrangement, a senior official of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives involved in the controversial gun operation Fast and Furious is receiving his government salary while working full time for the investment bank J.P. Morgan, according to two Republican lawmakers.

In a letter Tuesday to B. Todd Jones, the acting ATF director, Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) and Sen. Charles E. Grassley (R-Iowa) said that Deputy Assistant ATF Director William McMahon, who oversaw the agency’s Western region during the Fast and Furious operation, has been receiving two salaries simultaneously.

The lawmakers said the ATF apparently approved allowing McMahon to remain on paid leave for four or five months while working for the investment bank in order to reach retirement eligibility.

“ATF has essentially facilitated McMahon’s early retirement and ability to double dip for nearly half a year by receiving two full-time paychecks — one from the taxpayer and one from the private sector,” Issa and Grassley wrote.

McMahon is receiving a six-figure salary as an official in the ATF Office of Professional Responsibility and is serving as executive director of global security and investigations for J.P. Morgan in the Philippines, according to Issa and Grassley.

McMahon was one of five ATF officials recently singled out in a congressional report on the botched gun operation. The report alleged that McMahon knew that no safeguards were in place to prevent a large number of guns from getting into Mexico, but he made no effort to stop them.

Go figure, looks like the financial institutions want to arm America's enemies for profit while giving campaign contributions to political candidates who wish to ban guns to make the crimes of the criminal element they arm more powerful.

Despite the fact that this was approved I doubt it is legal.

Double dipping only applies in govt agencies. Last time I checked JPMorgan is not.

Well actually Bill Nada JP Morgan is a Fed Member Bank and the Fed is a government agency though privately owned...

"The Federal Reserve, like many other central banks, is an independent government agency but also one that is ultimately accountable to the public and the Congress."

Has anyone asked the question why JP Morgan was paying this guy? What interest do they have in this individual? Last time I checked, some of the biggest banks in the world were also the biggest money launderers of drug money.

Has anyone thought that just maybe the ATF were actually intentionally aiding and abetting drug running into the US via the Fast and Furious program (by delibrately putting weapons into the hands of drug cartels) under the cover story of claiming they just wanted to see where the guns ended up and then catch the criminals?

'Fast and Furious' has been a Bush cabal enterprise at least as far back as 1952. The objective? Mexico's silver. The oil turned out to be less valuable than Saudi sweet crude, so silver is it. See the cover photo of 'Barry and the Boys'. Featured is Bush41's Operation 40 around a banquet table in Mexico City in late 1958 or early 1960s, narrow black ties and all. All this new stuff blaming Obama is downright potty talk. When I say he acts like he was given a lobotomy some years back to facilitate 100% 24/7 obedience, it is not for chuckles and denial. Project Monarch. Homework. The first thing you will notice is that the CIA sealed Obama's medical records before the election. The second thing you will find is that the CIA does not have the constitutional authority to do that. The third thing you will find is yourselves back in drowning in denial. The fourth thing you will see is the incessant prancing and mewling of the CFRtv congressional vermin.
