Real IRA Threatens to Blow Up Bankers (Explosive!)

Terror group vows to resume attacks with British banks and bankers potential targets.

By Dr. Pitchfork

I've been predicting that Ireland would be the real ground zero for bank bailout rage.  They bailed out all the banks and bondholders, instituted a crash program of fiscal austerity, and the people are catching on and getting violent.  The Irish papers even have editorials about whacking the bondholders.  (O si sic omnes!)  But I never thought that bank bailout rage in Ireland would come to involve Semtex and detonating cord.

In one of the most bizarre bank bailout developments to date, the Real IRA has put British bankers on notice, threatening bombing attacks on banks and bankers, including London's financial district.  Given the sorry state of the economy on both sides of the border, the Real IRA may have found what turns out to be its best recruiting tactic yet:  combine nationalist, anti-colonial rhetoric with the population's already seething anger at banks, bankers and the governments that bail them out.

Excerpt from The Guardian

Banks and bankers are now potential targets for the Real IRA, leaders of the dissident republican terror group have warned in an exclusive interview with the Guardian. Despite having only 100 activists they also said that targets in England remained a high priority.

In an attempt to tap into the intense hostility towards the banks on both sides of the Irish border they branded bankers as "criminals" and said: "We have a track record of attacking high-profile economic targets and financial institutions such as the City of London. The role of bankers and the institutions they serve in financing Britain's colonial and capitalist system has not gone unnoticed.

"Let's not forget that the bankers are the next-door neighbours of the politicians. Most people can see the picture: the bankers grease the politicians' palms, the politicians bail out the bankers with public funds, the bankers pay themselves fat bonuses and loan the money back to the public with interest. It's essentially a crime spree that benefits a social elite at the expense of many millions of victims."

I wish people would stop posting such nonsense about the supposed 'Real' IRA - I already dealt with this silly nonsense at another site - anyone interested can view my comments <a href=http://www.theburningplatform.com/?p=7516#comment-9049>here - http://www.theburningplatform.com/?p=7516#comment-9049</a>

Firstly and most Importantly - despite both have the word 'Ireland' in their name, <b>The Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland are not the same thing.</b> I wish people would understand that. It's really not a hard concept to grasp.

Secondly - This whole thesis of the IRA taking on the Bankers is complete BS. Curiously it fits very nicely with what MI5 (British Military Intelligence) would like the gullible to believe. Most people that know anything about the situation consider the ‘Real IRA’ to be one of the most infiltrated organisations in the history of N.I.

Most people with even a hint of a clue suspect that MI5 would very much like the ‘Real IRA’ (an organisation heavily infiltrated by them) to help them re-start the conflict in N.I.

Don’t forget the slippery never-to-be-trusted MI5 – they haven’t gone away, you know?

they helped extend the life of the conflict in N.I. as much as they could. Without the N.I. conflict they would have to find some other reason to justify their salaries and enormous budget. So after the Good Friday agreement the ginned-up the ‘Krazy Mussie Fundamentalist” scare – but people have stopped buying that one since so many ‘Krazy Mussie Fundamentalists’ have turned out to be completely innocent or completely set-up.

<b>"Real IRA Says it Will Target UK Bankers"</b> - http://cryptogon.com/?p=17647

The “assassinating bankers” meme is a dream come true for the elite. Certain banking minions know too much, and how convenient would it be if the “IRA” happened to start assassinating people in that category? When the know-too-much bankers simply “commit suicide”, the fascist state misses out on opportunities to call for more surveillance and harassment, etc. to deal with the “terrorist threat”. Better to kill two birds with one stone.

Are there a handful of poor, Irish republicans who call themselves various flavors of IRA and essentially act like a street gang? Yes.

Has British Intelligence been involved with high level IRA operations for decades? There is absolutely no doubt at all that the answer is yes.

<b>Real IRA Being Set Up for a False Flag? </b> - http://kennysideshow.blogspot.com/2010/09/real-ira-being-set-up-for-false-flag.html

It all sounds plausible and scary and all, until you meet someone that actually knows a little about the situation. As far as I'm concerned 'Real' IRA = British Military Intelligence, otherwise known as MI5 - they really would like to start up that little war once again - gives them the excuse they need to set up their longed for police State.

So if British and Irish Bankers DO start being killed - and if the so-called 'Real' IRA DO start claiming responsibility for it, it will be because British Military Intelligence (who ultimately work for the Bankers anyway) wanted some terrorist 'threat' in the headlines in order to distract people and also to provide an excuse for instituting a Police State
Nov 19, 2010 at 2:50 PM | Unregistered Commenterhu bris
Yes, I think you make a good point Hu bris, but nevertheless, what are the alternatives? What would be the effect of a police state? Compliance? Perhaps so, but at this point in the game, I'm thinking more along the lines of civil disobediance on a large scale. Perhaps the British MI5 offer up their medicine, and it in turn turns out to be poison. A turning point is coming. How and what we achieve through that turning point will be important. This may be one game that the government loons may regret starting...if you catch my drift.

You can only smack the dog with a stick so many times before you get bitten and despised.

Beautifully put hubris. As Mel Gibson once said lately –I have a dog in this fight. I was as a member of Sinn Fein in Belfast prior to the ceasefires in the 1990’s. I have no faith in the mysterious revival of a fringe group masquerading as a more respected and serious organisation.

The coming payback for our insidious enslavement by the Banksters is long overdue. Irish nationalism is a separate issue. Irish nationalists must not follow this path. For a longer piece of my thoughts on this, I posted this about 6 weeks ago.

Nov 19, 2010 at 4:16 PM | Unregistered Commenterchuckyman
I tried to leave a comment on your site Chuck but For some reason my comment does not appear at your site so I'll repost it here:

<i>"It took nearly 18 months and a new administration led by Tony ‘War Crimes’ Blair before a new ceasefire was announced. "</i>

AND a helicopter full-to-the-brim of British Military Intelligence Top-brass PLUS High-level Civilian Securocrats being deliberately crashed into a Scottish Hillside. (For more info see: http://www.deeppoliticsforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=86 - The Mystery of the 1994 Mull of Kintyre Chinook Crash )

Let's not forget that helicopter - whoever helped Blair get elected as leader of the British Labour Party (lucky tony, John Smith didn't last long in that job did he?) decided to wipe out their own Intelligence guys in order to be able to do a deal with Sinn Fein (IRA)

Here's the thing - whoever helped Blair get elected as leader of the British Labour Party (lucky tony, John Smith didn't last long in that job did he?) KNEW that British Troops were shortly gonna be needed in a much hotter climate than N. Ireland. So that little conflict up North Ireland had to be put on the side-burner for a while so's Tony could arrange to cover himself in Gold, by covering Basra in blood. Hard to follow the Yankees into Iraq if all your troops have to hold down the Fort in Northern Ireland

Now that the Brits are gone from Basra, and now that Brits and NATO are having to admit what is obvious to everyone else, that the Afghanistan War is un-winnable, (Not that the purpose was ever to win, but that's a subject for another day) and the Brits will probably pull out most of their troops from Afghanistan, they need somewhere to use those troops in order to justify the coming repression - so it looks like N.Ireland is about to get a lot livlier over the next few years (I'm guessing it'll properly kick-off in about 18 Months) - I've been telling people this since about 2005 - but everyone said I was krazy (and they're probably right! :) - "Sure hasn't it been quite up there for ages, sure they're all friends now" they'd say to me. . . . O'Rly?.

Thanks for reading and for the comments. We are well aware that the Real IRA is a minor splinter group, probably seeking attention with this announcement. But boy have they been getting it! That, of course, was our point in covering this -- that the idea of violence against the bankers is attractive to many people both in Ireland and around the world. Even more so, our point still stands -- the BEST recruiting tactic the "Real" IRA has, in spite of their fringe status, is to go after the bankers, either with rhetoric or with physical force.

Thank you for dropping by my wee soap box. I am sorry to hear that Blogger was playing silly buggers with the comment Hubris – you’re not the first to mention that recently. I normally have to approve comments and I have checked – nothing yet. Interesting – did you get an error message?

It’s good to see that another soul remembers what others consign to the memory hole. I now live in Scotland and the chances of anyone approaching the piece of coast near the Mull of Kintyre at sea level are zero. They tried to blame the pilots but there was a push-back on that also.

Never underestimate the British agencies as they have a very twisted but successful business model. Imagine a spook agency with a couple of century’s worth of uninterrupted operational experience. The only thing holding them back is their budget. What is the going rate for a ton of heroin these days?

As I said in my wee rant – “As much as I respect the motivations of many of the young men and women involved at this moment in time there is absolutely no justification to pursue this armed struggle.”

Shooting bankers and blowing up banks makes no sense except in the eyes of the complete idiots. Mass rallies and dragging them from their offices to public trial – yes. As much as ‘shooting the bastards’ may make sense to the pituitary retarded types – it is not the answer.

Public violence is their desired outcome – we should starve them of that outcome. I’ve seen the former option and it’s appeal wears off real quick. I see that the German government is gearing up for protest. Interesting that there have been 2 occasions rectly where they were defeated by peaceful mass protest.

As an alternative here’s an idea from an unlikely source.

Good man yourself Dr Pitchfork – spot on with the ‘nom de guerre’

May the day dawn where an Irish government prints its own money - without debt or peonage to a private ’central’ bank. Once people know (I think the time is soon approaching) that currently money is actually debt we might get ourselves a swinging party – if you know what I mean.

Time is running out either way. It is not the job for paramilitaries to shoot bankers. That the job of a sovereign nation.

Supposedly its rational to continue the killing of millions of innocent people across the world chuckyman, since that sure seems to be profitable and necessary for the elite to meet their lofty goals. The reckless and inhumane manipulation of society has been occurring for centuries to benefit a handful, yet the alternatives for change are now just evolving but will hardly be reached in a timely manner in today's controlled / big brother regulating state. I suppose we have another century or two, and perhaps a billion more massacred, before we can reach some sort of peaceful and meaningful solution.

Hello Dogismyth.

The Banksters have paid for both sides of every war since Amschel Bayer painted a hexagon above his door. He was only continuing a long tradition of financiers. Both World Wars are a horrific testament to that.

I’m not one of the pessimists. There is a tipping point in play at the moment. The entire banking system is like a towering pyramid of elephants balancing on playing cards. The CDS swap market is toast. Any attempt by us Irish to honestly deal with the debt will set off an unstoppable chain reaction of bankruptcy. That will not be permitted.

The recent decapitation of the entire Polish Government is chilling example of the price to be paid for disobedience of the IMF. Where is Michael Collins when we need him?

Time has come when most ordinary people have so little to lose that they are happy to break the bonds of ‘normal’ bondage. Never mind centuries – this will be settled in the next 10 years.
Nov 19, 2010 at 7:52 PM | Unregistered Commenterchuckyman

Making a run on the banks is fruitless. It won't change much. Two of the most powerful, Goldman and Morgan Stanley have no deposits to make a run on in the first place (retail that is). And if you run on C, BAC, JPM, WFC, it will increase their funding costs, but only marginally. The cost of funding between retail deposits and fed fund repos is negligable. Sure, maybe 15-20 b.p. at most. But don't think for a moment that extra funding cost won't be passed through in higher lending margins.
Also, most of the big banks don't rely on retail deposits for a living. There source of funding is much more diverse. Deutsche Bank gets about 15% of it's funding from retail. Citi wouldn't give a **** either.

And it assumes of course that everyone would have to use the Bank of Sealy for their money, instead of placing it with someone (like insurance companies, asset managers), because as soon as they put their "bank run" money back into the system, it will find it's way back into the banks.

You can only starve the beast if you stop borrowing money. You are on the wrong side of the balance sheet!

Retail banking for the big banks changed from holding loans to passing them through already 20 years ago. The majority of assets held by TBTF banks are corporate or moment-in-time securities. The "retail" stuff that is there is largely private banking (and those guys I doubt will run on the bank) or SME type where the small business owner has his mortgage pledged to his business loan, and it would seriously surprise me if that person will severe all ties and destroy his business along with it.

Nov 19, 2010 at 8:15 PM | Unregistered Commenterchuckyman
Not to mention the banks could hand out credit or debit cards (electronic cards) with your balance upon demand. There are no rights for you to have your CASH unless perhaps you dragged every dollar (paper) to the bank...which I'm sure you do not. Most people make deposits using checks or transfers. Therefore, it is likely they would return the favor via electronic money as well.

Banks could also just call a holiday which is unlikely though. I'm sure they have plans in place for this type of event.
Nov 19, 2010 at 8:19 PM | Unregistered Commenterdogismyth
Not sure how to address this but all I hear is ‘they will do this’. Fuck ‘em because we will do that! Maybe I’m a dreamer – a crackpot. The whole point is to target the banks. Withdrawal of cash is one front. There are others.

The whole point is to put them on ‘the other foot’. Any suggestions will be duly noted.

How unfortunate it has come to this. The rich and those responsible for this mess expect to be immune from any fallout. The bible says something like "live by the sword, die by the sword" and I have a feeling some will get to experience this, first hand. Part of the problem is that the internet makes it so easy to lacate personal details. Someday, even bank tellers will have their own security details. It is also said that "in the end, we will pay for our sins."

Re: Bank runs and taking out your cash ... unless you are planning to change to another currency,
it won't make much difference, as your money can be devalued overnight - whether you or your
bank hold it.
Gorbachev did this in Russia in the late 80's when he declared all 50 and 100 Ruble notes invalid,
giving the populace a few days to take them to the banks and exchage them. The lines snaked down
the streets and most couldn't change their money, and so their savings were wiped out.

Right now, the smart money is going into HKG Dollars ... or silver.

Re: IRA & MI5 connections.
A friend of mine joined the IRA back in 1970 under the romantic
delusion that he would be helping the downtrodden Catholics
in Ulster.
After it came to his attention that all the IRA Provos were in fact
Brits - Gaelicising their names, all Marxists to a man, and getting their funding from UK and
the USA - he got out fast.
He told me their motto was, "Today the North - tomorrow the Republic."
I thought of him twenty years later while watching the movie "The Crying Game".

In 1980 while in Vancouver BC, I encountered a dozen or so British Squaddies on leave
from tank warfare training in Suffield, Alberta.
All being strangers in a strange bar, we quickly bonded and the beer began to flow.
While discussing their training, they mentioned that the NATO Jungle Camo uniforms had now all
been replaced by Desert Camoflage - because, as they were told, the "next big blow-out"
would be fought on the deserts of the Middle East.

Very prophetic indeed.

All the anti-Muslim stitch-ups are becoming so obvious that they're going to have to try something
else - the IRA being the old stand-by.
Well .... why not? It's been working since the 1880's anyway ..... Remember Charles Stuart Parnell?

Hey Chuckyman.

Here's the same post I made at Clearinghouse.

Here's a solution. May no man have ownership of more than one million dollars of wealth. Either men and women dedicate their lives for the sake of humanity and its evolution thereof, or we let the present system of capitalistic bigotry bring us continued misery. That mantra alone would satisfy 99.9% of the population of this planet and begin to focus our energy and resources on more beneficial and evolutionary works to better mankind. A very small number of people dictate what we know, how we live and determine the future. Completely unacceptable. There are so many exciting opportunities before us. Its simply time to move on and ignore the riffraff and their madness for control.

Its not the system that must be changed. Its the paradigm and our thinking/attitudes that must change. Until then, human evolution continues to be at a standstill.

I'm excited to get going on this new age of thinking...anyone else?

Hi there NavyBrat. In the late 60’s and 70’s there was a split in the Republican movement. The ‘Provisional’ IRA went on to become the organisation that we know and remember for fighting the last war of liberation.

Most people have forgotten the remnant ‘Official’ IRA. They were Marxist and preferred to fight a ‘class struggle’. They had disposed of the majority of IRA weaponry in the 60’s and hence the lack of hardware when the struggle for civil rights went hot in 1969. This group are more commonly known as the Workers Party in Ireland.

Spot on Buzlow. Buy silver folks if you want to own anything that will retain its value. Sinking JP Morgan at the same time is a nice touch. All currencies are toast anyway. The banks are so interlocked in Credit Default Swaps (CDS) that the failure of one will spread like wildfire among the rest.

We can’t have that happen too early now can we. All of the current misery has been timed nicely. The crash of the existing paradigm is exactly the right scenario to usher in a single world currency. If that happens humanity is doomed. They will keep just enough of us ‘useless eaters’ to keep the machines working.

It’s not all doom and gloom though. Our fate is in our own hands. We have been brainwashed since the early 1900’s with the fake religion of consumerism. We can choose to live differently – we must simply choose a different course. Either way as a famous American revolutionary (Ben Franklin) said ‘we either hang together or we’ll hang separately’.

I don't agree with violence at all. But it has to be admitted that the greatest criminals out there are the Banks, and the Bankers running the show. The Rothschild's and those who serve them need to go to jail now. Their misdeeds have ruined entire nations, and are the instigators of the financial problems washing across this world. Why should any people pay for the greed and corruption flowering at the top? Why? The people must rise-up in a peaceful non-compliance. They must take back their rights, and utterly destroy the FIAT Monetary system, which enslaves us all. Usery must be banished into the wilderness forever, and so too must those who support it. I also think that the rights of all Corporations should be abolished. Sod the lot of them!

Poor man robs you honestly with a gun, rich man robs you dishonestly, with a lawyer.

When equality under law, turns into Rich mans rules, invariable Poor mans justice is at the other end of The Pendulum.

It is swinging, violence is the only way to achieve a JUBILEE, which is the only way to fix it all. Instantly.

The rich, are not to be emulated, they have destroyed the planet, they are to be executed, along with globalism, then we can all get back to work rebuilding small business, banking and government, with limits to growth.

It really is time for the Irish people to say fuck it! Let the banks pay their own bills. If the French, German and UK banks don't like well that's too bad. It's not Ireland defaulting it's failed businesses defaulting. Only the idiot politicians turned it into sovereign debt. A change of govt. can change that policy.

After reaading all, the above comments, it is evident that there are two schools of thought one of continuing compliance to the system, and one of resistance...If you comply to the present situation then your either on the make, a banker or putty...Considering that, if you or me stole an item or money from someone else, we would be fined or imprisoned...How many bankers have gone to prison, or indeed fined for the theft of our money and property???...Only one, Bernie Madoff!...(made off with your money) how ironic eh!!!...The Government or State has NO interest in correcting this anonomly, because they are OWNED by the very entity that got them into power...As they say "You don't cut off the hand that feeds you..." So in rational thinking this is NEVER going to happen...That leads to resistance either by physical or mental means, either as a collective and/or individually, preferrably the former, as it is harder to 'break' a movement for change...The Irish are well schooled in the art of resistance, of the land, property, heart and soul thieves of the human race...We have been down that road before with the british and we are not going to RAPED by people in big houses with a big wallet, that think we will work as labour SLAVES to their whim...
