BLOOD IN THE STREETS! Bank Bailout Protesters Storm Ireland's Parliament

Busting through the Gates of Leinster House.

---

Posted by Dr. Pitchfork

During a massive demonstration against the bank bailouts in Dublin yesterday, a group of protesters attempted to break through the gates of Leinster House, home of the Irish government.  Although the attempt to storm the Dáil was mostly symbolic, punches were thrown, heads were cracked and there was, indeed, blood in the streets.

The demonstrators are angry about the bailout of the major Irish banks and their bondholders.  Under a "bad bank" scheme called NAMA (National Asset Management Agency), the Irish people are expected to be on the hook for €77 billion to purchase the bad loans.  That comes to €22,000 per tax payer just to bail out Anglo-Irish Bank By some estimates, the scheme stands to lose over €15 billion under  even the most optimistic conditions.

Meanwhile, pensioners, public-sector workers, university employees are facing layoffs and wage reductions.  All to protect the feckin' bank bondholders.

More raw footage.  Start watching at the 2:30 mark.

ICELAND IS TIRED OF THE BANKING CRIMINALS TOO

Bankers jailed, sued as Iceland seeks culprits for crisis
May 12 01:44 PM US/Eastern

More than a year and a half after Iceland's major banks failed, all but sinking the country's economy, police have begun rounding up a number of top bankers while other former executives and owners face a two-billion-dollar lawsuit.
Since Iceland's three largest banks -- Kaupthing, Landsbanki and Glitnir -- collapsed in late 2008, their former executives and owners have largely been living untroubled lives abroad.

The response to budget cuts from TD Paul Gogarty (green Party) is my all-time favorite Irish bailout clip. (Warning: " most un-parliamentary language.")

Gobie,

La Raza has been around since at least the 60's, it is a terrorist organization bent on destroying America and re assimilating parts of us into Mexico, or dare say all of us, I have linked toward this before. What we have here is a long term invasion to usurp America directly aided by both parties. The Republicans and heroic Amerikan "business" leaders for cheap labor, and the Democrats for cheap votes.

The Council of La Raza even succeeded in having itself added to congressional hearings by Republican House and Senate leaders. And an anonymous senator even gave the Council of La Raza an extra $4 million in earmarked taxpayer money. Be sure to thank your hero's Gobie.

Yet the herd animals continue to eat their anti depressants and pain killers to support the cause of those seeking to destroy us, for which their addictions and "slumber" ultimately serve.

Sometimes the law defends plunder and participates in it. Thus the beneficiaries are spared the shame, danger, and scruple which their acts would otherwise involve. Sometimes the law places the whole apparatus of judges, police, prisons, and gendarmes at the service of the plunderers, and treats the victim - when he defends himself - as a criminal. In short, there is a legal plunder, and it is of this, no doubt, that Mr. de Montalembert speaks.

This legal plunder may be only an isolated stain among the legislative measures of the people. If so, it is best to wipe it out with a minimum of speeches and denunciations - and in spite of the uproar of the vested interests.

All you got to do is admit that Republicans are responsible as well Gobie. All are guilty, you should stop reading your syph riddled hero, and try a little Bastiat, or perhaps Aristotle.

Especially in regard to Plato, you might find it even more interesting.

I know you have a curious mind, your direction is just "limited"...

Obama...This is a responsibility that all of us share—the oil companies share it; the manufacturers of this equipment share it; the agencies in the federal government in charge of oversight share that responsibility. I will not tolerate more finger pointing or irresponsibility.

Oh, remember the good old days...

Here, this is even better...

"Don't doubt for a minute that, if they thought they could get away with it, they would ban guns and ban ammunition and gut the Second Amendment," said Palin, a lifelong NRA member who once had a baby shower at a local gun range in Alaska. "It's the job of all of us at the NRA and its allies to stop them in their tracks."

Do you remember the ban on private purchases of machine guns manufactured after 1986 that Reagan signed?

How about the Brady (R) bill?

How about Bush sr's ban on "assault" weapons in 1991, and his subsequent giving up of his life membership in the NRA? It cost him his re election.

I gave up my NRA membership after these assaults on my sensibilities, they are pretty much a pathetic excuse for a gun owner organization these days.

If you ever belonged, you would know what I mean.

By the way, who did Cheney shoot in the face? Rookies with guns on photo ops, stupid.

Cheney did not have a hunting license neither, totally wrong, but he did not get prosecuted because the "law defends the plunderer". Funny you chose that quote, I would not trust shooting with anyone with eyes like that, but then, I am really a shooter, not a "we need responsible gun laws like Guilliani likes to be truly free" kinda guy.

Grand Jury TRIAL – Obama/Soetoro NOT a US Citizen

Alex talks with James David Manning, chief pastor at the ATLAH World Missionary Church in New York City. Manning has provided evidence that Obama is not qualified to be president. On May 14-19, 2010 he plans to hold treason trials and prove that Obama was a CIA agent during the early 1980s when he was a student at Columbia University.

The Soviet Union was on the brink of launching a nuclear attack against China in 1969 and only backed down after the US told Moscow such a move would start World War Three, according to a Chinese historian.

I would have to say that it was not the first time, the precedent was set with the 21st POTUS (R), but then that was O.K. wasn't it Gobie. Remember, there is no Constitution, that died with the bankruptcy.

May 14, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterZarathustra

Them little curly things at the end of sentences are called question marks, you have been asked many of them by many people, but seem to be fixated on the small problems.

Ever see POTUS Chester A. Aurthor's (R) birth certificate? All is legitimate as long as you are a servant of the Crown...

Now, how about that Queen?

America is owned by Britain, but more accurately the European Royals (all the same). America once seeked independance from the monarchy, and terrible idea of the Bank of England. Then we introduced the completely "different" and "not bad" in any way "Federal Reserve" which is nothing like the BoE (at least thats what America thinks). The monarchy was replaced by a large scale puppet show, where the population would vote for a few puppets that were specially selected for them (it gave the illusion of demoracy). I remember Reagan and Bush getting on their knees, and bowing for the Royal family.

This is a list of presidents of royal descent. Note that since all of these Presidents are related to English or Scottish monarchs, they are also all related to each other, though very distantly. Also note that the ancestry is from the most recent royal ancestor through their younger children who did not receive royal title or whose patents of nobility were not passed on because of rules of primogeniture.

George Washington (descendant of Edward III of England)

Thomas Jefferson (descendant of Henry I of England)

James Madison (descendant of Edward I of England)

John Quincy Adams (descendant of Edward III of England)

William Henry Harrison and his grandson, Benjamin Harrison (descendants of Edward I of England)

Zachary Taylor (descendant of Edward I of England)

Franklin Pierce (descendant of Henry I of England )

Rutherford Hayes (descendant of David I of Scotland)

Grover Cleveland (descendant of Edward I of England)

Theodore Roosevelt (descendant of Edward III of England)

William Taft (descendant of Edward I of England)

Warren Harding (descendant of Ethelred II of England)

Calvin Coolidge (descendant of Henry II of England)

Herbert Hoover (descendant of John of England)

Franklin Roosevelt (descendant of Edward III of England)

Richard Nixon (descendant of Edward I of England)

Gerald Ford (descendant of Edward I of England)

George H.W. Bush and his son, George W. Bush (descendants of Edward I of England)

Barack Obama (descendant of Edward I of England and William the Lion of Scotland)

As a result, all of the listed people are direct descendants of Alfred the Great. All but two of them are also descended from William I of England with the exceptions of Rutherford Hayes and Warren Harding.

The list becomes bigger if you look at all European Royal families, which are all related by the way. The problem with Royals though, is this pesky thing called inbreeding, and the effects thereof...

Not to mention their penchant for raping the commoners because it was their "divine right as King".

Now Gobie, again, how about that Queen?????? That is one of those question marks I am referring to.

"This nightmare might never have happened if legislation that is before Congress now -- the Brady bill -- had been law back in 1981."

Ronald Reagan

http://www.nytimes.com/1991/03/29/opinion/why-i-m-for-the-brady-bill.html?pagewanted=1

Perhaps the real issue would have been to choose a different running mate Mr. Reagan, after all, the Bush and Hinckley families had enjoyed a long history together. Don't blame the firearm, blame the family friends of your V.P., I recommend choosing better "friends".

With "friends like that, who needs enemies...

Gomp you crazy old man, I am also related to Edward I (aka Hammer of the Scots). Do the math, do you know how many Americans are also related to English kings. Get a grip.

Yes Gobias, I know that. Rape was a divinely inspired sport, wasn't it. That is why I stated this above.

"Not to mention their penchant for raping the commoners because it was their "divine right as King"."

Interesting that you still have not answered the question...

Gobie, did you know that you and Obama are related? That is another one of those pesky question mark thingies.

We already been over the birth certificate thing Gobie, that was another question you did not answer weeks ago. Fragmented memory is another sign.

We also established that your tree went back to Nikko, who was also a King, funny how those store bought family trees have everyone related to royalty. No one ever is related to the gravedigger, or ferrier, or village idiot.

I guess it makes it easier to trace, not to many limbs on the tree that way, plus it makes fools feel good about their existence.

Democracy is the art and science of running the circus from the monkey cage.
