And therein lies the terrific force behind this movement. Yeah, it's gonna be cold in Chicago. I've lived here through damn near 20 winters, I know what the word grim means. But if only 2 people make it through the @WinterOccupyChicago, then that's a massive loss for the average idiot. That's likely to happen merely because we have compatriots on the other side of the planet complaining of heat.
This is to say: if #Occupy survives the Winter, and persists into next Spring and even Summer, watch out, because there's 50-50 chance that what you're looking at is a revolution.

As Europe grinds out yet another doomed banking system rescue plan, it might be helpful to examine the underlying assumption, which is that we need these big banks.
Do we really? If Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, Deutsche Bank, Crédit Lyonnais and five or six of their peers ceased to exist tonight, what would happen? Would their absence change the number of factories, hospitals, farms, biotech research labs, oil wells, or gold mines? Would there be fewer houses or cars? Would computers get slower or TVs lower-def? No. The world of tomorrow morning would have exactly the same amount of real wealth and productive capacity as it does today. The main thing it wouldn’t have is a lot of arcane financial instruments that don’t produce anything edible, and a hundred thousand or so bankers making inordinate amounts of money moving this paper around. To the extent that those bankers would have to take jobs making real things, the post-Goldman world would arguably be richer and more productive.

"Crap" the times my tour bus stoped at the Ohare Oasis, comming home from Nashville Tn. heddin for Waupaca Wis. just to take a break and feel the "Heavy" come and go right over the bus........
We could of Scrubed of a few Bluegrass tunes, and put down a little De-Wormmer, just in case.........."Kesslers" works best, unless ya got some "Shine"............Sure I could stay over night and soak in the vib's and sound of them big Keroseine Burnners hangin on them big ol jet planes.......
One more night in the "Water Bed" in the back of my bus is just one more day out. At home I sleep like a baby, but on the road is like waking up Christmas Morning, when yr on the road........
