Did you notice in the article how she had her facts wrong on the Tea Party so then resorted to the claim that the protesters were dirty. I hate that this woman has been chosen by the corporate media to represent the Tea Party. It's complete nonsense. Ron Paul was the original Tea Party representative years ago before the nonsense got started.

WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) — European leaders may fall short in their efforts to defuse the region’s debt crisis, and any failure is likely to have a major impact for the U.S. economy, according to expert testimony to a House subcommittee released Monday.

Will the OWS Protesters Protest Obama’s Newest Corporate Government Bank ?

On October 24th, 2011 the Vatican called for the creation of a “global public authority” along with a “central world bank” to manage the economic crisis and prevent such a thing from happening again.

Interestingly, Reuters claims that the document, released by the Vatican’s Justice and Peace Department, “should please the ‘Occupy Wall Street’ demonstrators and similar movements around the world who have protested against the economic downturn.”

I sincerely hope this is the misguided opinion of the author, Philip Pullella, and not an accurate reflection of how OWS and other movements would actually react to these calls for more centralized control over the economy.

Exactly DB: "I hate that this woman has been chosen by the corporate media to represent the Tea Party." She is the new, improved face of co-option, Sarah Palin 2.0. And now we watch the media work on OWS. The media who refused to give broad voice in its coverage now claims to be able to speak for it, i.e., saying the Vatican's call for world government "should please" them.

I suspect the other claim of what the OWS stands for, the question of if they'll support Obama's bank, is more legitimate. Many people have advocated for public banking, and most Ds probably support public spending for job creation, so it's easy to imagine them going along with this proposal thinking it matches those goals. All I see is more insider criminal activity and future tax expenditures to cover....

I think Bachmann is icky, as well as anyone believing in the creation of a “global public authority” or “central world bank”. We are Americans, we left over there to get away from the stupid stuff the old world was doing. Our Founders warned us of these things, and now people want to jump right back in bed with them...

People really are doomed to repeat history, because they sure don't learn from it.

Who the hell needs a “global public authority” or “central world bank”? We already have a U.N., and IMF mucking everything up proudly.
