As this graphic shows, the new law creates 68 grant programs, 47 bureaucratic entities, 29 demonstration or pilot programs, 6 regulatory systems, 6 compliance standards and 2 entitlements.  What could possibly go wrong with something so-well organized?

This chart was meticulously compiled over the last four months after perusing the 2,841 pages of Obamacare that no one who voted for the bill bothered to read.

The HHS czar, Kathleen Sebelius, has 2200 references in the law and 600 new authorities which cannot be challenged.  On the chart everything in dark blue to the left are expansions, orange are those empowered with rationing healthcare in the future.  In the bottom left hand corner in blue, 150 new bureaucracies and boards have been created between doctor and patient.  Those in yellow are specific mandates and there are 17 new mandates on insurance.  Rep. Brady stated this law is so complex he couldn’t get the chart to fit on one page, the chart is only actually 1/3 of the size of the law so he shows “bundles of bureaucracy.”  For example, one brown bundle hides 59 grant programs.  Green diamonds are the taxes this law has created.  In the far right corner are 19 special interest provisions, including the “Louisiana Purchase” and special interests for unions.

Buried deep in the law are 19 special sections that cannot be challenged by the courts or any regulatory system.  What the public is being sold and what the law actually has are 2 totally different things.

And jobs created? Yes. Many. 16,500 new IRS agents to police the law and an explosion of jobs in the HHS Department. Please print out copies of this chart and hand to your friends, families and pass out wherever. The public needs to be educated about the impact of this law and what it will mean for their future.

I read a report about this, the US's 15% of GDP currently spent on health care will be 23% by 2015. It's insane. My husband just began a new job and benefits kick in after 3 months so we are currently unisured for dental. I lost a filling need to see a dentist so yesterday I call the dental clinic, how much to get a temporary filling until benefits kick in and I can get this taken care of properly? The girl told me "well, you'll have to have an x-ray, that'll be $50 and a temporary filling will be about $70. This is flat uninsured rate, cash, walk out the door. When I go back to have it fixed under insurance it'll cost me about $20.

I get so tired of Canadian health care being demonized by the media, even the Canadian media! I don't know what it would cost in the US to walk into a clinic, get xrays and a temporary filling but I suspect it's much more than $120. And Obama care is going to make it waaaaay worse.

House Democrats wrote to the U.S. Judicial Conference on Friday urging the watchdog agency to request that U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder investigate Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.

Thomas is under scrutiny for failing to report at least $1.6 million that his wife earned from conservative interests between 1997 and 2007. The letter, spearheaded by House Rules ranking member Louise Slaughter (D-N.Y.) and signed by 51 House Democrats, comes after newly released documents show Thomas properly reported his wife's income for at least seven years before 1997....

....."I request that Justice Kagan recuse herself immediately from hearing the ObamaCare case," Cain said in a statement. "Members of the highest court in the land should be impartial, strictly follow the Constitution and should not carry water for former employers in the White House."

And on Friday, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and three other senators wrote to Holder demanding that he comply with congressional oversight requests regarding Kagan’s role in the administration’s defense of the health care law. Holder has said Kagan was removed from any meetings where litigation was discussed, but Republicans want to see evidence that she was not privy to discussions of legal claims and litigation strategy concerning court challenges to the law.

Over the last few years I have been writing about cronyism and fraud regarding renewable energy. The folks I have written about (who after Enron, appeared out of nowhere), suddenly got hundreds of millions of dollars to pursue boondoggle after boondoggle and have corporate structures and partnerships that are damn near impossible to track. However, impossible is not possible when you doggedly follow the money trail. I use recent posts re: Senator Dianne Feinstein who has abused her authority on numerous occasions as have others.

When the trail is followed the money keeps going to the same parties repeatedly. I have found the linkages between renewables and the medical (obamacare) pretty damning. Same folks and names we have mentions here all too many times. My focus is now on two private hedge funds (certainly the banks are involved) with very close ties to this administration. These are the same persons/entities and the same problems.

AUGUSTA, Maine — Sen. Angus King said Tuesday that despite having told a reporter that opponents of the Affordable Care Act who urged college students not to buy health insurance were “guilty of murder,” he is ready to work with all political parties to improve the health care law.

“That’s a scandal — those people are guilty of murder in my opinion,” King told a reporter from Salon.com in an article published Monday. “Some of those people they persuade are going to end up dying because they don’t have health insurance. For people who do that to other people in the name of some obscure political ideology is one of the grossest violations of our humanity I can think of. This absolutely drives me crazy.”
