NO LAUGHING MATTER: Obama and Debtocrats Crack Jokes About $1.5 Trillion Deficit

Because tripling the deficit is one big joke.
This one hits too high on the arrogance meter to be measured, as Obama and Senator Michael Bennet discuss (laugh about) the $12 trillion national debt and the burden it will place on future generations, specifically, Bennet's 10 year-old daughter who has already told Bennett that her generation will pay NONE of this debt.

Yep. My problem is and has been with the American people. I can't understand how they could elect an idiot for two consecutive terms and now have a problem with Obama.

It's weird. I get called that a lot out here on these boards. But I never thought he was the messiah or had all the answers during the elections. I just thought he was a reasonably smart, pragmatic guy who understood the issues and could speak. When I hear people talk highly about Bush and Palin it's usually because they can identify with them. Bush and Palin make people feel better about themselves. They are a reflection. People thought of Bush as someone they could have a beer with. They think Palin is dingy like they are. They like it when she doesn't know where Russia is because they don't either. They like it when she writes crib notes on her hands because they did that in school.
It is these people that have been brainwashed into believing that they too, could be president because there are enough of them to elect someone with their same defects. Many mask this by calling it horse sense. They think to themselves, Bush is like me. He may not be book smart. He may struggle giving speeches. But he has horse sense. Like me. I have enough to be President. Because, like Bush, I too have horse sense. I too struggle to give speeches.
Ignorance has become a virtue to many.
I sure enjoy it when you take the time to make thoughful commentary like that!

The budget released this week by Obama and his team is staggering in its hubris. He is doing the economic equivalent of George W. Bush invading Iraq. He is not only attacking the wrong enemy for the wrong reasons but is going to exacerbate the very thing he claims to be fixing.

The lame attempt to fuel class warfare–pitting the “rich” against the poor may make some political sense but the combination of raising taxes and increased borrowing is economic suicide and will end up hurting the poorer classes and destroying many in the middle class. Just look at what has happened in Argentina over the last 28 years. That’s not change I want to believe in.
