President Obama walks into the Bank of America to cash a cheque. As he approaches the cashier he says "Good morning Ma'am, could you please cash this cheque for me"?

Cashier: "It would be my pleasure sir. Could you please show me your ID"?

Obama: "Truthfully, I did not bring my ID with me as I didn't think there was any need to. I am President Barrack Obama, the President of the United States of America!!!!"

Cashier: "Yes sir, I know who you are, but with all the regulations, monitoring, of the banks because of imposters and forgers, etc I must insist on seeing ID"

Obama: "Just ask anyone here at the bank who I am and they will tell you. Everybody knows who I am"

Cashier: "I am sorry Mr. President but these are the bank rules and I must follow them."

Obama: "I am urging you please to cash this cheque"

Cashier: "Look Mr. President this is what we can do: One day Tiger Woods came into the bank without ID. To prove he was Tiger Woods he pulled out his putting iron and made a beautiful shot across the bank into a cup. With that shot we knew him to be Tiger Woods and cashed his cheque. Another time, Andre Agassi came in without ID. He pulled out his tennis racquet and made a fabulous shot whereas the tennis ball landed in my cup. With that spectacular shot we cashed his cheque. So, Mr. President, what can you do to prove that it is you, and only you, as the President of the United States?"

Obama stood there thinking, and thinking and finally says: "Honestly, there is nothing that comes to my mind. I can't think of a single thing I can do."

Cashier: "Will that be large or small bills, Mr. President?"

Think before I post. Yikes!

I should have added to my last post that I did not mean to imply Obama and Dr. Paul parallel in any way. Right or wrong, they most certainly don't.

Respectfully I know there are are others who have a different vote than I in Dr. Paul for President.  I was trying to point out that I feel Obama ran and won his election by selling hope.  I'm one who bought it and now suffer from buyers remorse if you will.

Ron Paul is one who runs on the same beliefs he's carried for his entire career.  In doing so he offers hope in a way polar oposit from others. Especially Obama.

After posting what I thought was humorous.  I see how it could have been  interpreted in a negative way. Apologies for that one.

Anyone harboring even a scintilla of doubt that the rule of law is dead in this country need only watch this Q&A session with a White House spokesman. Said spokesman's position is that it's okay for the government to murder an American citizen (1) without a trial or even so much as an indictment, (2) despite specific requests--all denied--to provide legal representation for the citizen, (3) without presenting any evidence whatsoever to either the U.S. public or to a judge, and (4) solely based on the supposed representations of unnamed "terrorist experts."

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7-2CP_o9Jk

It's straight out of a Man for All Seasons:

Sir Thomas More: What would you do? Cut a great road through the law to get after the Devil?

William Roper: Yes, I'd cut down every law in England to do that!

Sir Thomas More: Oh? And when the last law was down, and the Devil turned 'round on you, where would you hide, Roper, the laws all being flat? This country is planted thick with laws, from coast to coast, Man's laws, not God's! And if you cut them down, and you're just the man to do it, do you really think you could stand upright in the winds that would blow then? Yes, I'd give the Devil benefit of law, for my own safety's sake!

This 'jobs bill' proposal demonstrates Obama's not being cognizant beyond a superficial 2-dimensional observation. A world with no past. A failing economy lacking reason or cause. And he misses that which is the most important to solving America's economic woes. That being, there is a cause, and there is a way to climb out in a 3-dimensional direction. With the solar panel factory bankruptcy and seizure, again Obama is totally lost at sea given call to make a value judgement. It cost $6 per watt to sell units @$3 per watt. "O.K.," Obama must have said, and walked away quietly. He did not see a problem. 1979, Connecticut. I sound childish and repetitious with this, but we have a problem. No president in the past fifty years has been so messed up. Nixon, Bush43, LBJ, murdrous alley trash to a man. But you could see their eyes shift back and forth, and you could see the smirks of overblown self-confidence that the CFR was more than happy to complement with spin and lies. Obama commits betrayals and does not see it. At all.

john and Dave--

Your links are good ones. john, I wouldn't read too much in the Supreme Court's cert denial of a case. They take up perhaps 150 cases a year out of, I don't know, 10,000 petitions. Hell, they declined to hear the Fed's cert petition in Bloomberg's FOIA case, leaving intact the 2nd Circuit's en banc decision holding that the Fed is most definitely subject to information requests. In the MERS case, they left standing a low-level California district court decision with hardly any precedential value at all.

Dave, the first youtube video is a bit long but does contain some real gems. The Judge N. stating that the president has assumed the powers of a king is true, but really doesn't go far enough in explaining the real loss here, which is the Rule of Law. Ron Paul gets at it later in the video.

What really kills me about the video I linked is that the transparent illegality is coming from the horse's mouth. Back in May, Noam Chomsky wrote a very well-reasoned piece, "When did America Completely Jettison the Rule of Law?"

http://www.alternet.org/story/151039/chomsky:_when_did_america_completely_jettison_the_rule_of_law/

In it, Chomsky accepts as true the Administration's account of bin Laden's death and "burial" at sea. He reasons from that point to arrive at the conclusion that yes, the Rule of Law is dead in the U.S.

I feel sorry for Noam. Had he simply waited for this latest episode--citizen assassination without indictment or trial--the article would have been wholly unnecessary. With this latest escapade, there is no need for anyone to guess or argue any more about the Rule of Law; its cold cadaver is out in the open for all to see, warts and all.

What's so chilling about the linked video, though, is that you have the Administration there, presiding over the corpse, answering questions relating to this very topic. And the answer is "I've got nothing for you." In other words: fuck you and your stupid laws, you serf.

This official acknowledgment that the Rule of Law is dead should have been on the six o'clock news every night for a week, and yet... nothing. So the dismantlement of our republic is now complete: a captured congress, a lazy and corrupt judiciary, an executive that's open about its totalitarian regime over its subjects, and a fourth estate that--excepting the examiner in the video and a brave handful of others--is content to spew without modification or question the misinformation that it's fed.

And people wonder why the #OccupyWallStreet movement has hit a nerve? Are you fucking kidding me?

Thanks Cheyenne.

The video is a bit long and fals a bit short on the crime that was commited by Judge N. I think someone put it together with a lot of heart filled meaning though. Certainly makes one think. I'm also very glad you mentioned not to read too much into the artical (John?) posted. I've been fighting my but off regarding that issue. I posted this comment on "Why I hate B of A" I wonder how anyone feels about this. Please consider that I'm going by my gut feeling on this. DB has even helped me where I continue to fall short but not done or given up. I posted this,

I'll post this in two here and see if someone agrees with me on my view. I too was with Countrywide so naturally B of A claims to be my lender. The problem is, Countrywide misapropriated money long before the exchange/or transition which have you.

B of A did not so much as speak to me when this occured. They do not have a wet signature and I like so many underwent robo signing through both MERS and copy company called ReconTrust. It was ReconTrust who sold my home back to the bank. However they did so without even having a liccense to work in my state. An issue discovered this year.

In short, among other issues that fall under "An act of god in the eyes of the law" which prevented me from following through with a BK 13 as well blatent denial of mediation via a congressional letter I obatained through my Congresswoman. For the life of me I do not understand how a president has not been set by now?

All that aside the two issues that seem to illude my understanding is, the FTC has done nothing. Yet worse is in our country the last time Digital Due Process was formally addressed was in 1986.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYYjr3XNaGs&feature=youtube_gdata_player

Knowing this as fact, how can anyone think that a wet signature alone is not an issue if not a solid case for such a president to assist people fighting for there homes?

I would love to hear anyone's thoughts on this. I have resigned myself to the belief that it's a great way to keep the legal system flowing with money. Since judges are elected they have to please huge corporations etc. who placed them there. There's poision just about everywhere I've turned. Now I understand the Supreme Court has taken favor with MERS? Again I have trouble believing it could be nothing less.

I can understand Digital Due Process being in question. However Due Process is hurtin for certin. So afraid of Digital Due Process. For me, taking sides in favor of MERS anywhere should in turn acknowledge all the emails I sent to various people as much as a certified letter. And I did all of that in Due Dilligence in order to avoid being lables as negligent. It simply does not add up.

Not to rant, I'm seriously confused as to why The Law Of The Land (Due Process) is so far gone? Outside a protest of my own and standing on what I've learned from reasearch amd asking, I fell everyone should be insulted. Insulted that going into a court Pro-Se is met with bias and insult to an elected judge for what they know is right. It is frustrating to say the least.
Oct 13, 2011 at 8:50 AM | Unregistered CommenterDave
"why The Law Of The Land (Due Process) is so far gone?"

An academic question at this point, really, but it's gone for sure. When the President flatly proclaims that Wall Street has committed no crimes in the face of mountain ranges of evidence to the contrary, well, rest assured Elvis has left the country.

Judges are a mixed bag. Some are corrupt. Some are too ignorant to believe that banks lie. Some are stupid. Some believe in TBTF and are afraid of their pensions. (The irony that TBTF are looting their pensions even as they issue breathtakingly erroneous decisions in the banks' favor is just too delicious not to note.) They're all overworked.

And yes, there's a massive prejudice against pro se plaintiffs. Going pro se, it's inevitable that you'll hear something along the following lines: a client who acts on his own behalf has a fool for a lawyer.

When we interviewed victims of foreclosure fraud, the most common sentiment we heard was the system is stacked against us to put us in our place no matter how much both the law and the facts were on our side.

In chemistry you learn pV = nrT. Well, that intensely foul sentiment is p, and it's shared by millions of people now. When it shows up on the other side of the equation, in temperature, a lot of people had better duck.

Cheyenne, I went and looked this up for you.  Much better videos on the topic from the Judge and various people.  And there all short in lengh.  No dought he with others are very passionate about what happened.  And we should be.  If I was killed by our president for speaking my mind about him here for example, I sure would want people to care enough to ask why.  I hope you like these.  I think there pretty good.

With every passing day it is becoming obvious that the enemies causing the most damage to the American People are not foreign terrorists or foreign military organizations.
Domestic terrorists are destroying the livelihoods, the accumulated wealth, the homes, the futures and very essence of everything that made America the greatest country on earth.
That these terrorists are members of the Government of the United States and the Corporate elite who control the Government of the United States is unbelievable.
They have captured completely all possible avenues to remove them, rule of law under the U.S. Constitution is ignored and elite criminals make hundreds of millions of dollars while investigators and prosecutors make excuses.
The Occupy Wall Street protest shows that some Americans are going to resist the destruction of their way of life. But, I still think from what I'm seeing on the internet and doing something I hate ( watching Main Stream Media) the average American still refuses to believe their government, Democrat, Republican, Tea Party or whatever party are responsible for the economic collapse, and that the Corporate Elite and Wall Street run the Government.
I guess they're afraid if they learn too much they might actually have get off the couch and do something patrotic, or if they make too many waves their own little boat might get sunk.

(Thank you Chunga!)

@ Sagebrush, I'm hoping in the end that will be the one thing this president has taught us as a whole. To ask the tough questions and recognize where we are at. Not that voting him out will be the complete answer to the problems of course. But take a sobering look at where we need to go as a nation.

My Uncle who's passed, worked 50 years at the Detroit Freepress. I feel poorly as I've gotten older that I had little appreciation for that. He asked me once didn't I want to know what's going on in the world? As a kid, I answered I don't like news, it's depressing. It's a feeling I wouldn't wish on anyone. I know now that's it's better to balance some of that in life. When you don't, this is what can happen. Drowning in looking for answers rather than being prepared. It's a tall price to pay and I think so many people are doing just that. Playing catch up.

I'm just grateful there are people who didn't take the road, or rather way of thinking so many do still. Foreclosure is a fine example of that. More and more people wish they had known there boundries and kept their home. Again, it's a tall price.
