Dylan Ratigan Puts On A Thomas Jefferson Costume & Launches Into A Top 5 All Time Anti-Bank Rant

Runs 2 minutes.  Not many better than this.

Dylan Thomas Jefferson:

  • "Banks have taken over the government and made taxpayers slaves to bank-run gambling casinos."

---

Ratigan dons a wig and dresses in revolutionary garb like his favorite Founding Father, Thomas Jefferson, channeling the former president's trenchant criticism of big banks.

Ratigan pointed out that Jefferson was the first and most vocal opponent of Alexander Hamilton's proposal for a federal bank. Jefferson's greatest fear, Ratigan announced in comparison to our current economic crisis, was a "bank takeover of the government that would leave taxpayers as slaves to bank-run gambling casinos."  Quoting Jefferson directly, Ratigan said, "the banking establishments are more dangerous than standing armies."

Around Ratigan's neck hung a large padlock with TBTF written on it, signifying the government's complicity in the "too big to fail" doctrine.

There seems to be an increasing amount of rhetoric about government spending — how much of it there is, whether or not it’s affordable, the extent to which Obama is bankrupting the nation, that government spending is “crowding out” what the private sector might spend, etc., etc. So, does it wash?

Great clip, DB, thanks.

So what's Ratigan's costume this Halloween? Hopefully he brandishes loaded firearms in the studio in a heart-warming reprise of Andrew Jackson.

thomas jefferson did not wear a white wig or white powder his hair when most men did. he proudly wore his long red locks just as they were, along with ben franklin, another reason why i respect them most of any american atatesmen.

That was somewhat entertaining I guess...if you were trying to teach 6th graders...which is perhaps the reading level (if we're lucky) for most average americans.

Things are starting to fall apart for the elite. I hear the bodyguard business is booming. I know a few that would love the (inside) job of protecting these cowards.

All kidding aside, I'm not resting or stopping for any bone they're sure to throw our way. I want them ALL rounded up. Every last one of them. I refer to the elite, the corporatists and the gov officials who have lied, deceived, killed, maimed and destroy our culture over the past several decades. They're easy to spot. They never look you in the eye or listen to you. And they tremble at the thought of being in your presence. The arrogant pugs will soon get a taste of their own medicine. All of them.

Speaking of Alex Hamilton, this bank is running ads regarding Alex in the Boston region.

This is one of many. John Adams had much to say about him and I agree over 200 years later.

I will add another "local" bank in the green energy blues thread in the near future.
