Seventeen down, one to go. Not bad for a dark horse laughingstock.

What's astonishing is that much of Trump's success rests on the dismissive arrogance of his detractors, whose ONLY reaction is to double the dosage of their epically disastrous strategy. The blinkered and counterproductive temper tantrums are just an awesome thing to behold.

And there's no end in sight to anti-Trump hissy fit FAIL, either. Now these sanctimonious imbeciles have gone nuclear and trotted out the baddest-ass toddler they could find in their playpen:

Mitt Romney in September: “I will support the Republican nominee. I don’t think that’s going to be Donald Trump.”

Former Lehman Brothers employee? Lets try Managing Director of the Columbus Ohio office, former employee sounds like the janitor or some other schmuck that would have been completely innocent of Lehmans glorious mishandling of other peoples money.

Irony of ironies would be Trump picking him for V.P., if that would happen I would be the first to say Trump sold out.

"Irony of ironies would be Trump picking him for V.P., if that would happen I would be the first to say Trump sold out."

I'm with you completely, Gompers. Trump's VP pick will reveal a lot about his standing with the criminal elite. His up-yours handling of TPTB is why he is where he is in the first place. So too will his choice of ammunition against Clinton (whom the DNC is hell bent on selecting regardless of voter will) be telling.

Kasich or Rubio would be mistakes in my view. I realize that he wants an established name but not those guys, please. Jeff Sessions is the Senator who has been helping him the most, so that name wouldn't shock me.

I am with you on that Cheyenne.

Unbelievable John, chalk it up to the audacity of corruption. I have posted this years ago, but new readers might want to see this:

It will certainly be interesting to see who the pick is DB.

Trump's pick for campaign committee finance chair does not inspire much faith, to put it mildly.

http://www.newsmax.com/Politics/US-Campaign-2016/2016/05/05/id/727383/

"Mnuchin is chairman and chief executive officer of Dune Capital management LLC, a private investment firm, and previously worked at the New York bank Goldman Sachs."

Ugh. And lest ye think Mnuchin was a summer intern or was otherwise a dabbler in Goldman's criminal cesspool, get a load of this:

"The son of a prominent New York banker and arts patron, Mnuchin spent 17 years at Goldman Sachs building a fortune reportedly worth $46 million, before forming his own firm, Dune Capital, that would bring him even more luster."

http://variety.com/2015/biz/news/relativity-steve-mnuchin-co-chairman-1201557256/

Fuck. This is REALLY bumming me out.

Add This: (From ZH).

In addition to Goldman, Mnuchin also worked for Soros previously. Where it gets even more ironic is that Mnuchin has donated frequently to Democrats, including to Clinton and Barack Obama.

What a fucking this shitshow this has become.

Better read all of this:

http://www.publicintegrity.org/2016/05/05/19634/donald-trumps-new-finance-guru-once-clinton-donor-soros-employee

From 2003 to 2004, Mnuchin worked as chief executive of SFM Capital Management, which the Wall Street Journal reports is backed by Soros. He also worked for Soros Fund Management LLC, according to Bloomberg.

(The Center for Public Integrity receives funding from the Open Society Foundations, which Soros funds. A complete list of Center for Public Integrity funders is found here.)

Trump has some contradictions. What are his thoughts on the bailouts. I'm guessing he supported them at the time. However, he wants to do a real audit of the Fed as he tweeted here:

Could it be, we are seeing the most throughly researched, elaborately presented smoke and mirror presentation the establishment has ever used to con the American People? In the end nothing changes except for the corporations taking over the planet.

I hope the fuck that Donald is making a good choice here. I can not rule out that his pick is willing to use his past expertise against what we all abhor.

The thing everyone needs to remember is that anyone who Trump hires for a job like campaign finance chairman is going to have a Wall St. background of some sort. This is just a campaign management position anyway, so I don't think it's a huge deal.

He can't be expected to self-fund the general election. The RNC is going to kick him a ton of money and most of that money will have come from corporations. But the connection is indirect.
May 5, 2016 at 6:40 PM | Registered CommenterDailyBail
Trump's White House bid, a hugely expensive undertaking even for a billionaire real estate developer. But Trump himself acknowledged that he would have to sell some of his holdings to muster the hundreds of millions of dollars needed to self-fund.

"I mean, do I want to sell a couple of buildings and self-fund? I don't know that I want to do that necessarily," Trump said on MSNBC Wednesday. Trump starts out in a deep hole when it comes to fundraising. As a primary candidate, he prided himself on not soliciting donations, and he disparaged his GOP rivals for being beholden to special interests by taking their money.

Thanks for the clarification DB. We all are sick and tired of being hornswoggled, groped, bailing the undeserving out, useless foreign entanglements that we started and fund, the cronyism, rigged markets, insider trading, special rights that exceed the rights of the common individual and on and on.

I saw earlier today where Trump admitted he has had several "talks" with Rubio lately.
May 6, 2016 at 1:00 AM | Unregistered CommenterS. Gompers
Two months ago I thought he was going to choose Rubio, and then they started their epic fight over height and hand size and things got personal and I assumed that Trump would go another direction. Who the hell knows what's going to happen.
May 6, 2016 at 1:18 AM | Registered CommenterDailyBail
I hope it is not him. perhaps he should have a conversation with former Congressman/ Lt. Colonel West. A strong military background and his background in American history could be helpful in times like these...
May 6, 2016 at 4:16 AM | Unregistered CommenterS. Gompers
Rubio would be a disgrace as a VP. Honestly he should think of someone that hasn't been smeared by taint of bail out or other nefarious underpinnings. However his choice for fund raiser in chief that is somehow connected to Soros is bothersome.
