@gregg somerville and christopher conti

this is in response to Gregg's comment in one of our other stories this morning.

No. WE THANK YOU for finding us and submitting your amazing piece of work. It is a tour de force. It educates and entertains. as the kids say, you got mad skillz.

In my view it is 'orders of magnitude' better than the TARP song that was recently on CNBC. We think you will be getting a call from them soon about an appearnace.

We especially appreciate the lyrical quality of the piece. And kudos to you for taking the time to cover the entire taxpayer road to hell: from Bear all the way to Phoney, Fraudie, the shithole that is AIG, Lehman, Citi, etc.

My nephew who is 9 loves the beat. So it's working for kids as well.

You, Gregg and Christopher, are TRUE AMERICAN TAXPAYER HEROES.

Don't stop raging agaisnt these injustices. Your nation needs you to keep doing your part.

You will always have an outlet for your work here. We will showcase it to the best or our abilities.

As for the sub-prime blues, i had planned to find it and post it eventually ahving seen/heard it months ago. Thought it was outstanding as well. And now i don't need to find it. Thanks, and we will be showcasing it soon. perhaps later today.

Stockbroker Thuglife and MC Bailout were just 2 names that popped into my head. Obviously, if you wish, feel free to adopt one as your stage name. We like them both.

All the best,

DailyBail

here's the direct link to the song for those who haven't seen it yet. go quickly.

omg, i didn't even see the large FEED ME icon!!!! My apologizes, subscriber :)
Jan 28, 2009 at 3:44 AM | Unregistered Commenterherbaltea
@herbaltea

nope. it was our fault. the icon was enabled live for me but i hadn't enabled it on the site.

so it wasn't there. you were the one who alerted me to the problem.

because of the links from mish and patrick.net i have had almost 30,000 visitors in the past 4 days and it's killing me that i didn't have my RSS feed enabled for them to subscribe.

my first big mistake as a blogger.

oh well, it's only day 12. i will recover.

thanks and please tell your friends about us. send them a link. do what you can to spread the word. it's all for the cause.

thanks, db

Great stuff. Here's another one:

Got no job, what d'ya expect?
Income tax makes you a reject,
Jobs in China, profits in Sweden,
CEO's living in a freakin Eden.

God Bless America. USSA.

Call me Hank, the gold man or King P.
Billions from you for my peeps and me,
"Economic Collapse" psyched you out?
One-fifty K bonus without a doubt.

America. USSA, America. USSA.

Katrina victims' get their houses demolished,
Gov contractors' get their lambo's polished.
Volunteers from church were not allowed,
"Under control" said the FEMA crowd.

America. USSA, America. USSA.

The B. es not for balanced budget,
Impute. Substitute. How we fudge it.
Double-speak and a backwards lie,
Mission Accomplished. Pie in the Sky.

America. USSA, America. USSA.

41 mil in the hand-out camps,
Wel-F, SSD, eating food stamps,
What's your future? Like to know?
It ain't no job and it ain't no dough.

America. USSA, America. USSA.

B to the O is how I roll,
America. Here we go.
I'm the man. The man I am.
But do you know? am I The Man.
Is your kids' future one dark light?
Money to all, to all a good night.

America. USSA. Americans. Suckas.

"America, Hot Air, and Fury"
a song of the times.

Is my sarcasm detector misfiring, or is the title misleading? First off, it's not "brand new" but was posted on YouTube September 2008. Second, it's not "exclusive to" DailyBail, but has been on YouTube for the past three months.

But, no worries. I got a hell of a good laugh from that and the one before... sub-prime mortgage blues. Great stuff. I hope word of this guy spreads he's hella funny.
Jan 31, 2009 at 8:33 PM | Unregistered CommenterSF Mechanist
@ SF mechanist

It's bad sarcasm. It was a joke on how nothing is exclusive on the internet. And I can't change the title now becasue there are tons of links pointing here from a few big referrers. And they would arrive to a dead page if i changed even one letter in the title.

So i'm stuck with a really bad title, that I thought was funny for about 5 minutes. i'll probably change it once the traffic dies down for this page.

thanks.
