Debt Heads,

It's the weekend and I just had the pleasure of speaking with my brother; I've encouraged him to provide a legal perspective to stir DB's financially literate, thinking stew. The poor guy has to send a check to Uncle and has a surf board in desperate need of repair.

We're at yet another inflection point. The global market, all asset classes, continues to be uncertain about discounting unrealized losses; banks, insurance companies, hedgistan, regulators, literally everyone, institutional and otherwise. Institutional investors are wrestling with this dynamic problem and in the short-term, depending on the business model, are forced by regulation to make economically imprudent decisions; again, the grassroots reality of the deflationary death spiral. In the future I'll provide comment on mark to market and mark to model; as a practitioner, as DB suggests, it's not a slam dunk issue.

Nonetheless, it's the weekend. Get up a little late, take the significant other to breakfast (stimulus effect and all), read your fish-wrapper of choice and be prepared to provide your educated comments.

Wanda Sykes Said:

"Oversight. I want receipts, damnit."

That was my favorite along with the Jon Stewart ' Loan Interview for $700 billion With Paulson and Bernanke"

I'll save the links Sqworl and send it to a few of my fellow staffers on the Hill.

Thanks and keep up the good work.

@ Everyone

A reader sent me a message saying when he attempts to watch videos on the site it takes him to a login page.

Has anyone else had this kind of problem when watching videos here?

If so, please speak up so that I can work to solve it.

Thanks.
