I love Woody as much as his son, and that is coming from a simple redneck of unabashed, disadvantaged, Appalachian descent. If we could get Ken to stop chasing the herds toward the cliff, we might be able to make wool...

Woody Guthrie is best known for his song “This land is your land” . But he isn’t even well known for that, not nearly as known as the song is. His greatest goal was to show that “this land is made for you and me.” He was a true troubadour, a folk singer, a traveler and a good man. He had many friends, many famous friends. He is the one who, above all others, inspired Robert Zimmerman to become Bob Dylan.

I guess “This land is your land” is not as fashionable as Lady Gaga or some other weirdo's these days. Woody was a by the bootstraps type of guy...

Something not very respected these days, compared to the artificial celebrity market that we are being spoon fed that we cannot live without.

The sound of the music comming from the Rymon before it was knowen as the "Grand Ol Opry"....the music you would hear on Clear Chanel 650 WSM Nashville Ten.

It will neaver go out of style. Its just the crap they push today tends to over shadow the pure, clean, honest, music of the 20's 30's 40's 50's 60's......................

And many of us to this day play it yeat. Tex
