« Why Dylan Ratigan Left CNBC: The Audio Leakage »
Update: I just listened to this again and lost it. The whole clip is maybe 50 seconds. It's worth a second listen if you've already heard it. This is how I wish I had talked to a few bosses back in the day.
Remember when Ratigan left CNBC? There were rumors at the time that the escalating event was an argument he had with Fast Money producer Susan Krakower during a commercial break. Today Gawker published audio of the one-sided fight. Click one of the link below, but make sure your speakers are already turned on because the shouting starts immediately.
You don't bother an anchor during a live show. Sounds like there was no communication for months before her interruption. Bizarre considering she was his producer. Ratigan's new show on MSNBC debuts next week.
Ratigan: You can talk to me when I say you can talk to me.
You're effectively a liar. Will you deliver that message to management, as well.

new respect for Ratigan
What is the date on this clip??
This could have been from a year before Ratigan left CNBC for all we know...
It was leaked to Gawker last week...it's the real deal.
So if the tape was from last summer, how in the world can it "explain" why Ratigan left in March 2009?
There's a significant reason why Dylan left CNBC d.b. but I doubt it has anything to do with this particular audio clip.
I stand corrected on the date of the tape.
My point was not that this exchange caused his contract not to be renewed, but rather that his relationship with his producer was likely the reason that he didn't want to renew himself.
Terminations/walking away are always complicated...
