Why Dylan Ratigan Left CNBC: The Audio Leakage

Listen to this...

Update: I just revisited this audio clip from 2009 and fell over laughing.  This is ridiculously hilarious content that you don't often hear.  Runs 1 minute.

Remember when Ratigan left CNBC?  There were rumors at the time that the escalating event was an argument he had with Fast Money producer Susan Krakower during a commercial break.  Click the link below, but make sure your speakers are already turned up because the shouting starts immediately.

First rule of television - Don't bother an anchor during a live show.

Click this link to hear the exchange:

You're effectively a liar.  Will you deliver that message to management, as well.

That's a beautiful bit of mp3. Did she have dealings with Eric Bolling, too? Why did he leave.

new respect for Ratigan

There is no way to prove that clip is from March 2009.

What is the date on this clip??

This could have been from a year before Ratigan left CNBC for all we know...

@Terry

It was leaked to Gawker last week...it's the real deal.

From Gawker: "The tape dates to last summer [2008], when Susan Krakower, a CNBC executive and co-creator with Ratigan of Fast Money, dared to speak into his earpiece during a commercial break in the newscast."

So if the tape was from last summer, how in the world can it "explain" why Ratigan left in March 2009?

There's a significant reason why Dylan left CNBC d.b. but I doubt it has anything to do with this particular audio clip.

@Terry

I stand corrected on the date of the tape.

My point was not that this exchange caused his contract not to be renewed, but rather that his relationship with his producer was likely the reason that he didn't want to renew himself.

Terminations/walking away are always complicated...

Hi I did watch him regularly on the fast money, yes he did come out strong , but he cut the BS and did try to extract the precise info, after listening to the audio , i feel bad for him, I really think that the management at CNBC is really crazy , but for a few good people ( like Robert Pasani on the stock market floor), they are a bunch of opinionated reporters who virtually dont have any insight to the market including people like that lady who comes with Sue Herrera during noon show, not only she is rude clueless and does not even dress appropriately , all she does is attack other people,if it were not for comcast cable that i get for free , i would not watch CNBC

Hi Daily Bail People...just about to hit the hay...I'm sleepy.

I wrote this Open Letter calling for recusal of two foreclosure "Rocket Judges"

Then I went and set up an online petition. It emails to the Senate President and Majority Leader. I'm at 95 signatures right now. Hopefully, when I wake up tomorrow I'll reach the 100 mark.

I'm cranking this up. (Hope everyone is well. I just picked the most recent comment to reply to)

Looks like one of the the last MSM Anchors who is not a puppet with a corporate establishment fist up his ass like the rest of the MSM bobble head puppets, is down the road. The only good thing I can get out of this is, now I don't have to watch any of the MSM propaganda bureaus anymore. Dylan Ratigan on MSNBC was the last one I paid any attention to.
