Why progressives won't criticise child-killer Obama.

Great interview.

It's amazing how infrequently people call out their own "team" the way Greenwald called out progressive Democrats here. A couple who come to mind are Yves, who's been kicking the shit out of Obama since before he took office, and (on the other side of the spectrum) Denninger, who routinely bashes Republicans and the Tea Party (which he had a big hand in forming, prior to its cave-in to Wall Street).

A lot of other journalists and commenters, though, revert to craven lesser-evil posturing, which does nothing but cram electoral tickets full of indistinguishable shitheads like Obamney.

Another key point Greenwald touches on (thanks to Rudkowski's prompt) is the disappearance of real journalists. How many journalists today are real troublemakers? The vast majority of them are as threatening as arthritic pomeranians. In lieu of analyzing hard facts, they trot out establishment mouthpieces to volley about insipid quotes designed not to offend any plutocrats.

Real journalism is out there, though. This is a good start:

Cheyenne and DB. I posted a link to the journalism museum a couple months ago. My suggestion is that the journalists who were trouble makers are now memorialised there. Also had the wonderful happenstance to run into an old retired gum shoe who back in the day investigated the mortgage fraud of the eighties. He talked about parcels of land that supposedly had buildings and other shenanigans. He dropped some names which we all know and referred to the current crisis. Gotta tell you it was something else. Old guy with some great background. Couldn't feel the cold because of the heat as he started going along. Couple of hours of some great conversation.

Those Dems have a long standing love of child murder, they just prefer the scalpel.

Greenwald: Congrats to President Obama: will be awarded one of Israel's highest medals for devotion to strengthening that State.

Guess this is like the Nobel Peace Prize for the man who kills Children with drones, and then uses them for a backdrop for Gun Control.

The Hypocrisy would be funny if not so sad!
