Skin,

Every time I cut and paste your link this is what I get;

Unless of course this is what you were wanting to post, it is one of my favorites if it is...

Ohio is still here, though Cincinnati is in the wake of unprecedented violence. And Pete Beck has been convicted as well as Pete Rose might finally get to see the hall of fame. It was good to see him at the All Stars.

Breaking news...

Governor of Ohio John Kasich is expected to announce his candidacy for the Republican race for the POTUS nomination. He said he was waiting for divine guidance several months ago whether or not to run. I hope that message was not "do unto America what Lehman Brothers did to its investors while you were Managing Director".

You just can't make this stuff up. While Kasich was in Con-gress prior to Lehman Bro's. he had 2 NRA F's for his votes against "scary black rifles" and high capacity magazine bans.

You will find this hard to believe but I was ticketed and approved to attend the Kasich announcement today. Last night a voice from a deceased friend said, "Don't Go". I will be watching on TV and pray that there is no violence.

Gomp, it WAS good to see Pete Rose out there. Seems he's already done his time in the salt mines. He should be in the hall of fame, which, by the way, is a great place to visit if you are a fan of the game. Speaking of violins, Baltimore is on a tear here of late. Bodies are stacking up like cord wood. Those are the obvious ones they find. There was a report sometime the last few months of gangs using the old buildings that have been deemed uninhabitable as dumping grounds for the deceased. They unscrew the boards, dump the corpse, throw lime on them, and close the buildings back up. How nifty that the once proud neighborhoods of marbled stoops, have come to be used as ceremonial burial mounds. In the meantime, Rawlings-Blake, the Mayor, fired the police commissioner as a result of his mishandling of the riots. Sheila Dixon, the former mayor, who so embarrassed the Democratic machine, that Potus decided not to do a photo op with her when it was learned that she had stolen gift cards that were supposed to be used for needy children, has decided to run for mayor once again. The reason she used those gift cards was because times were hard. She had to pay for her children's schooling and such, however, it was learned that her childeren had gone to a private parochial school on someone else's dime. Rumor has it the cops are in no rush to do their job since they feel put upon. Recently , my work sent me into these hoods to retrieve certain items. All I can say to that, is that you can pretty much TASTE the tension there. I decided to leave that establishment to ply my trade in another venue. Wotta you gonna do?

Backgammon,

I watched the speech as well, and as much as I hate to admit it, it was a good speech. But I can't bring myself to even vote for a janitor from Lehman for dogcatcher more or less a executive into another role that gives access to my money. My retirement still stings from Lehman's frauds.

Skinflint,

It is funny how the inner cities are really starting to resemble Beirut more so than the American dream isn't it. I have been following your problems up there as well.

It is time for Pete, there are others already there that have done worse than him in my humble opinion.

Gomp, Yep that's the clip. Greece is in a tight spot. Never have been to Beirut, but I can tell you it's an absolute horror that people in this country live in such conditions.

It is a sad societal condition Skin, but people live the way their choices dictate. People did to Beirut, just as they do to Baltimore, Cincinnati, etc.. People must create their own cesspool, because they must....

Then governments punish the law abiding in the name of the lawless.

I had to buy a new wrench from the Snap On guy, as both Gomp and Skin know, they are nice but pricey tools. For the hell of it I looked to see if they were listed on the stock exchange and yessiree they were. I should have been buying tools from a cheaper competitor and buying their stock with what I saved…. No matter what the economy does they do very well. Check out their chart.

I wonder when it'll split? With all the new technology going into cars and trucks, I would say it is safe to assume their scan tools/computers etc. are going to drive sales up.

Funny story about Crapsman tools. When I was operating my own business, I kept a set of sockets on board the truck just in case the time came they would be needed. They were in one of those black plastic carry cases that a set of those things come in. Sometimes the guys would put the set in the chipper chute to carry them as space was needed elsewhere. Anyway, after having cut the crown out of an old oak tree, the time came to chip the branches. Well the guys started the machine, which was an old chuck and duck variety. The drum is made of stainless as are the teeth. When new, the teeth can be used for shaving, they are that sharp. The guys started jamming limbs into the chute and were having a hard time until the realization hit me that the sound I was hearing was the sound of metal hitting the back of the dump body. Shrapnel. They jammed the entire set through, including the ratchet. Holy shit, the busted metal was flying everywhere as I ran over to the machine to shut it down. They effed up my machine something terrible. There is a somewhat a funny part to this mess. Crapsman, has a lifetime warranty, and I went to my local Sears to cash in my hard earned winnings. I put the busted tools on the counter and showed them to the manager who looked at the tools, then to me and asked how the tools came to be in the present condition. I explained how this happened whereupon he suggested to me that I had pretty much voided the warranty. Those were the days.

Dag gone John,

I had no idea their stock was doing so good, I have a whole roll cabinet full of their tools as well as Proto and a Snap On welder (used to have a good friend that had one of their routes and I bought alot). Got a nice collection of custom made saws and wood planes I have accumulated over the years as well. I wish I would have been following the stock.

That's a funny story Skin.

Noe would think he'd have the inside skinny on that subject matter. I would assume that he would not make it out of the USA alive.
