WATCH LIVE - GOP Presidential Debate At Reagan Library

UPDATE - The debate has obvioously concluded.  Above is part 1 which runs 30 minutes. The remaining portion can be seen HERE on youtube (look in the right column).

Rick Perry, Ron Paul, Mitt Romney and all the rest of the Republicans.  Here's a decent read from Politico to check out while you're watching:

The following was the most interesting clip from the GOP debate last month in Iowa:

Interesting that Ron Paul is standing next to Rick Perry. Paul has already taken a few shots at Perry over his faux record.

There were a few highlights I got a kick out of.

Ben Bernanke will definitely be out of a job if a republican wins.

Mitt was right about Obama not knowing what the hell he is doing.

Rick Santorum needs to have that smirk wiped off his face.

Rick Perry is indeed a bush clone and still shares half a brain with junior.

Newt did alright....

Ron screwed up on the school lunch question bringing the constitution into the equation.

Michelle needs to run for the hills and not the presidency.

And the other 2 guys don't have a chance in hell.

My winner is a toss up between Newt and Mitt.

Got great news to share. If our idiots in D.C. slip the Trans-Pacific Partnership through I'll be able to move to Panama or Columbia for a low paying outsourced job instead of moving to China.

The clip where there speaking of the boarder's...... Safe??? That is NOT true for AZ. I remember explicitly the president, prior to the shooting of the Congresswoman and death of the little girl. The Governor of AZ stepped up for the boarder patrol who were threatened with snipers if certain groups of people were not able to cross over. The President reportedly cut them off from funding because they were "Profiling" and he would not have it. She said, keep your money as I remember in the news where I live. I was a pretty big deal.

Shortly after the shooting of the Congresswoman and then the speech by the President which was nice indeed, there were a pit of bodies nearly 100 that were buried near the boarder that was a drug cartel related finding. However that new was way over shadowed by the Speech after the shooting.

That's how I remember it anyway. Forgive me if I have my facts or timelines off a bit there. But It did in fact take place. Ron Paul addresses the issue correctly I feel. There is no need for a fence. It's just not going to stop the problem. His view is so much broader. In the long run "illegals" would have no incentive to be in the country. Drugs? Thats another issue. But he addresses that one too very well I think. Less Federal and more State in short. Again thats just the way I'm hearing him.

Possibly the worst staged debate I have ever see, NBC was committed to the "Rick and Mitt Show", failed to give the other candidates anywhere near equal time, and did a dis-serive to the country by "assuming" that we were in a "two-horse" race when not one primary vote has been cast. As usual, Brian Williams showed his unending capacity to dig 3/8" beneath the surface of any difficult issue, and did his best to ensure that the debate was as intellectually demanding as the last episode of "Keeping up w/ the Kardashians". Good job Brian and NBC.
