Watch Chris Christie's RNC Keynote Speech: "The Federal Government Needs To Learn To Say No..."

Governor Christie delivers the keynote address at the GOP Convention.

"The Federal government needs to learn to say 'no'..."

---

As convention speeches go, this is outstanding.

Christie is a much better candidate than Romney.  It's not even close.  If the goal is to get to balanced budgets (or near) within 5 years, he's the guy.  He tells the truth about entitlement and deficit issues, which is rare.  And he has a proven track record of cutting spending in New Jersey against the powerful wishes of a ridiculously-entrenched state deficit machine.  That being said, as we wrote in the Ann Romney story, it's not going to be easy for anyone to enact substantial spending cuts in Washington until the bond market vigilantes finish with Europe and start sending Treasury debt bombs our direction.

Have panic, will act.  Until then, expect nothing.

Spend and pretend, hope and pray, can we borrow our 43 cents any other way?

Agreed. He's not going to live past 60 if he doesn't lose 100 lbs.

11:19p.m.: A convention attendee allegedly threw peanuts at a CNN camerawoman who's black, saying, "This is how we feed animals," Talking Points Memo reports. The attendee was removed from the convention. CNN confirmed to TPM that there was an incident, but wouldn't offer details.

Update to the update: Convention spokesman Kyle Downey tells Politico's Dylan Byers, "Two attendees tonight exhibited deplorable behavior. Their conduct was inexcusable and unacceptable. This kind of behavior will not be tolerated."

You've got to be kidding? Christie is better then Romney?

They're both corrupt and criminal as they come. That's like saying flesh eating bacteria is better then brain cancer. You do know that the entire electoral system is fraudulent, right? I thought the Daily Bail had a lot for going for it then this? Looks like another website that just doesn't get it or maybe that's your job...keep the message diluted.

Any politician who is elected and goes to Washington and fails to acknowledge the criminal Federal Reserve and the puppet regime currently sitting in the oval office, is treasonous. These people are currently being paid by Israel, Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan. We are an occupied nation by the banksters and the clowns they put up for the retarded sheople to vote for, are there to manage our bankruptcy and keep us distracted with football, along with fake terrorist attacks.

First of all...there is no balancing the budget, when debt and fiat money are concerned...pretending that they can balance the budget is a fairy tale to distract the sheople and looks like the Daily Bail.
Talk about a disappointment. This article is a joke as well as the RNC/DNC parties.

BTW what are you watching CNBC to begin with? They're a tool of the government, and seems like so is this site.

wake up DB and start publishing the truth.

Tom

This is a financial site. I cover debt, deficits, corruption, the Fed and plenty of things in between. Calling me a puppet is a joke. You see 1 story and jump to conclusions. I have worked in financial markets for 23 years. I don't need your lectures.

Let's see how exciting Ann thinks it is in 4 years when our national debt hits $22 trillion, regardless of who wins this election. Romney doesn't have the cojones to make the cuts, just like every President before him. And since he actually wants to increase military spending from current levels, he'll end up a deficit president just like Obama. Book it.

The only thing that will will force Washington to act on spending is the bond market. When the bond vigilantes finish with Europe in 24 months or so, the United States of Insolvency - Land of the Free and Home of the Broke - will be their next target.

When bond yields start spiking as we approach a $20 trillion national debt in late 2015, then and only then will Washington even begin to take the issue seriously.

Have panic, will act. Until then, expect nothing.

We will borrow 43 cents of every dollar, behaving blissfully as if absolutely nothing could ever go wrong. Until it does. And by then it might be too late.

This fat pig needs to say "No" when someone asks him if he would like another serving.

Tom, I deleted you because you are being irrational. I don't have time to have this fight. By your logic, all I could publish all day every day is that the Fed must be broken up. I've published at least 1,000 stories exposing the Fed. Give me a break.

This is a news site.

We publish news.

And then we publish more news.

Do you understand yet.
