VIDEO - Ron Paul Speaks On The Wall Street Protests

Video - Ron Paul Discusses #OccupyWallStreet at the National Press Club - Oct. 5, 2011

Runs 2 minutes - Quotes transcribed below.

Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul said Wednesday that the Occupy Wall Street protests were a “legitimate effort.”

Transcribed:

 • “I can’t speak for the people out there because I don’t know who they are or exactly what they are demonstrating against,” Paul told the National Press Club. “I can argue the case for their right to express their outright frustration with what is going on. Some are liberals and some are conservatives and some are libertarians and some are strict constitutionalists. And if you read carefully over what I’ve written over the past 10 or 15 years, I talk a lot about this, that eventually we will go bankrupt.”

 • “As far as the federal government involved in the practice of civil disobedience in the various states, it’s really up to the states to deal with it. I think that civil disobedience, if everybody knows exactly what they are doing, is a legitimate effort. It’s been done in this country for many grievances. Some people end up going to jail for this. But to speak for a special group and say, ‘Yeah, I like what they are doing or they are not doing,’ but what I want to do is try to sort it out and tell people why they are struggling and that this was a predictable event.”

There is no sound economy possible if you tolerate the influence of those people who haven't gathered themselves the attention they consume. I do not speak of peanuts.

All the money that comes into existence as profits will sooner or later find an heir or heirs. This procedure destroys all hope of equal opportunity. The heirs easily displace all dispossessed talents. At what stupid things can be seduced, if you get paid a million instead to earn it first. Sums in the amount of national budgets are passed each year. These sums do not push the market to make himself useful to society. Isms under which one sytem even this concession to the competitiveness of inheritance guaranteed in every case known to the ruin and decay of a society emerging on this basis.

You will need to be careful out how to deal with this issue. All hopes of a further development of our form of life is related to.

What: Paul doesnt know WHY we are protesting...is he braindead. Come on people, Ron Paul doesnt have all the answers. He wouldnt support a national health care system without for profits...he wouldnt support social security, medicare, and medicaid...He should have embraced these protestors...he should have done his research to FIND out what they are about. This is why we want NO political parties involved...no democrats. no repukes, no baggers...leave your party and your religion at home...this is a new movement....that is completely democratic, where OUR voices are heard, where OUR agenda is being created. The teabaggers along with corporate media have been demonizing these people calling them hippies...hell I am an old hippi and I dont see ONE hippi in the crowd. I see young, old, all races, all classes standing up to wall street banksters, corporate globalists, war profiteers, standing in a unified, united method with 99% of the citizens around the world.

it is to my understanding that this isnt a left or right movement, a ron paul mitt romney, herman cain, barrack obama movement, no this is a people movement. alex jones nailed it when he said this two party system is a sytem which leans on each other so when people question anything of one party the other party joins in, causing mass confusion and people to be against the other party. In essence confusing people that one party or the other is on your side. WAKE UP neither side cares about you. both side gain from this disruption. they protect the elite, because they are, and it is sooooo obvious that these cowards on the media wont cover it. i mean come on michael jackson trial, THATS NEWS? get the F out of here. P.S. herman cain, aka uncle ruckus (google it) we will eat our cake, and yours, at your expense, you dousche bag haha, also although alex jones nailed it (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fTahZE4q90U). now he is against OWS and all other ocuppy america movement, why, because it will stop U.S. from sending money to isreal. hes a assclown of a man, but what he stated in that youtube video is true, just watch.

We the People means what it means, and Ron Paul defends our right to peacably assemble to petition our Fed. Govt. to restore the living U.S. Constitution as our leading LAWs. He does not try to speak for nor define the causes other than to verify he has been outspoken in the same vein. As a President he may not be any more capable than the Hawaiian Guy to effect change needed, yet will use the full power of his Presidency to restore our full Constitution and delete the created Czarships and Secret Government Agency powers set in place by scared people seeing False Evidence Appear Real. No more living in FEAR, no more extra benefit to the Brokers who just keep making the U.S. broker and broken.

I LOVE to see America exercising our right to free speech. These protests are healthy. It's sad that we need them, but they're healthy.

BeachD1 people aren't living in fear, they are rampant in anger, sure we should trust ron paul, like we trusted bush, and obama, if this protest, is about ron paul, a rePUBE, then many people will be outro, believe that.

Blossom, actually should nothing to do with the season. A lot of time in his life is confused, find a better reason to let himself not to want to some other people think unimportant matters.
We all like a clown, in our lifetime playing five balls, the five balls is work, health, family, friends, and spirit. Five balls with only one is rubber, fall can play up and that is work. The other four balls are use made of glass, the off, broken... ucjlfz ucjlfz - moncler outlet.
