What the Secretary fails to understand is that Disney actually cares about the consumer's experience, where the VA system does not.

Secretary of Veterans Affairs Bob McDonald compares patient wait times to waiting in line for a ride at Disney. Obama appointed McDonald in 2014 to fix wait times and a myriad of other issues, but the problems have only gotten worse.

My dad was in Vietnam for 18 months in 1965 and 1966, and was there when I was born. He is a physician who is retired and so he is on Medicare. But he also uses the VA hospital system in Indianapolis for some of his healthcare. I've never asked him about it but I'm now wondering why vets over the age of 65 don't just bypass the VA system and use their regular doctor through Medicare?

Is it a matter of cost, where the VA is free but Medicare still makes you pay for part of your treatment. Anyone have any answers?

On the subject of Disney. Pedos hang out there and children are in constant danger whilst enjoying the magic kingdom. Years ago, Disney started their own police force and thus were able to keep such cases in house and out of the spotlight. So, in a way they are very much the same with the exception being of course that instead of a veteran getting screwed, it'd be a child instead.

The VA sucks and the veterans got a fuck you for appreciation. It may be free but ask any vet what they think. especially those not here now. I know many who were affected by Agent Orange in Vietnam and most have died. This is the same shit they sprayed in Maine (roundup the early version) back in the late 70's early 80's. My father was a logger for a major firm and died from cancer as did the veterans, There are cancer clusters that still are persistent in the areas sprayed with the defoliant to kill off the deciduous trees so the coniferous ones would grow.

My father and I went fishing in in an area (100,000+ acres sprayed) and he noticed something unusual. He said to me "Johnny, what do you hear"?. I heard nothing and said so. He replied, " Do you hear any birds"? I said no and that was a the first time in my life I was in the wilderness and not a bird was to be heard for months.

Unusual medical things that had happened since are cancer clusters in those areas. Lung and breast cancer clusters suddenly cropped up among other serious ailments. A few years later the paper companies sold out to REIT's, just before that. 'waste oil' was used to spray the dirt roads to keep the dust down around the gated areas and elsewhere. This just so happened to coincide with the PCB issue that started getting attention. PCB's are a heavy molecule that was used in oils and other products and lasts a really long time. All they have to do is test bore the roads...

John, that is really interesting story. My dad believes he came into contact with Agent Orange in Vietnam. He had strange symptoms all the way thru the early 80s.
