UPDATE: Daily Bail To Resume Normal Publishing Today

VACATION FROM THE INTERNET IS OVER

Back to work. Hope everyone is still around and well prepared for an IRS audit, or a secret Eric Holder privacy incursion. Might as well get started with the good news. The FT writes tonight that Larry Summers is the favorite to replace Bernanke and inherit the Fed's $4 trillion balance sheet.

Summers has edge in race to head Fed...

DB You just chap my ass. You just destroyed any credibility of my latest conspiracy theory of your untimely demise. Damn it. Oh and by the way welcome back. Admit it, you can't stop can you?

"Summers has the edge to head Fed...."

Blind, incompetent academic economists or Goldman Sach's employees, gives me a warm fuzzy feeling when I realize ether idiots or crooks control the monetary policy the U.S.A.

The Federal Reserve, a 100 year old failure you can chalk up to a U.S. Congress every bit as corrupt as todays U.S. Congress.

It was outstanding. I stayed away from this website completely which is rule #1 for a vacation. I didn't visit once until late last night. Haven't checked my email for almost 2 weeks. I feel almost human again.

WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) — Americans have the most confidence in five years about the nation’s economic prospects, according to a closely followed survey released Tuesday.

The U.S. consumer-confidence index climbed to a five-year high of 76.2 in May from a slightly revised 69.0 in April, the Conference Board said. The increase beat the forecast of economists polled by MarketWatch, who expected the index to rise to 72.3.

On the plus side, the strawberries here are the best they have been in years. I guess the condition are perfect. Hope that last observation wasn't too limp wristed.

A most hardy welcome back, DB, we look forward to your ongoing work. Speaking of which, it might interest you that all of this website's first amendment protections were lost during your vacation, according to one U.S. senator.

Thanks for the laugh Tex. Glad the pills are marked and the plane is still in use. And that Betty Sue said yes. The strange thing about this job is that nothing ever changes.

GREAT to have you back! Hope you had a good rest and cleared your mind.

Myself, I'm losing my mind over Benghazi, IRS, HHS, DOJ and the fact that Obama & Holder find
out all their facts from the TV.

If all of the above is not bad enough, I just found out, Nine Inch Nails is a band, and not a chick!

Maxine Waters: ‘Obama Has Put In Place’ Secret Database With ‘Everything On Everyone’

"The President has put in place an
organization with the kind of database that no one has ever seen before
in life," Representative Maxine Waters told Roland Martin on Monday.
"That's going to be very, very powerful," Waters said. "That database
will have information about everything on every individual on ways that
it's never been done before and whoever runs for President on the
Democratic ticket has to deal with that. They're going to go down with
that database and the concerns of those people because they can't get
around it. And he's [President Obama] been very smart. It's very
powerful what he's leaving in place."

Well fellas, those vids make me want to drink more fluoridated water. Just put the calm back in me. I don't know what is worse, the fact that these dumb fucks presume to think this is ok or the guys, some of who I know who work for the n $ @, who think that this is some sort of way to make a living. There is just a bunch of guys around here that work there and I just don't understand. At what point do you draw a line in your moral upbringing?

Josie, one of the more interesting points Mr. Stockman makes, to me anyway, is the issue of stock options to the CEO's. A type of subterfuge where folks look at the available info, but not able to make an educated decision because of the misinformation that is being produced. Another form of extraction that Ratigan had talked about during his rant. Excellent piece.

Notice the 4 dislikes on the Stockman story:

Obama

Holder

Bernanke

Hillary

Well BG. The only thing I can say to that is they can collectively kiss my dimpled asscheeks. Stockman was excoriated by just about everyone, but that is what telling the truth gets you these days. Don't know if Stockmans interview with that old hag Diane Ream is still available. She tried to paint h in a corner. He would not have it.

Here is yet even more chicanery. I suppose one could extrapolate this scenario to ours in a much bigger way. They just continue to laugh as they figure what line to take with the central bank. I don't know if the central bank there is as perverse as ours though.http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=HyIFfxDqz84

Diane Reim is an ancient old hag. Her voice is so shaky I couldn't understand her if I was interested.

Find myself in a pickle, tripped over the dog and have a torn mussle in my leg. It has been years since I was on crutches so am having many challenges. Getting to the computer is one of them. Taking percoset is no problem.

Making me think DB might have had an accident.
Jul 18, 2013 at 10:19 AM | Unregistered CommenterBackgammon
If you quit taking the percoset maybe, just maybe it would be easier to get to the computer. I know that after my visit to the OR, Doc had prescribed to me some of that synthetic heroin. That shit was FOR REAL. I stopped after just one round. Incinerated the rest of them. The first question that Doc asked me at the first follow up visit wasn't how's your leg, but rather how's you like those meds? The guy was a dick. He tried to get me hooked in that shit. I only took a couple of aspirin during that whole recovery time, which was about 16 weeks.
Jul 18, 2013 at 10:56 AM | Unregistered CommenterSKINFLINT
I hope he has not had an accident, hopefully just decompressing....

I think it takes its toll every know and then.

Get well soon BG, That is unusual Skin, Doctors usually don't go overboard with the meds like that right up front.

http://www.truthdig.com/eartotheground/item/chris_hedges_responds_to_ndaa_defeat_20130717/?ln. Hedges response to court overturning appeal. GOMP, I beg to differ. It has been my expierience that some Docs will write up meds for just about anything. The Doc sliced me open and screwed my leg back together as some of the bone material had blown apart. Just part of the job. Anyway, got out to Ohio. Very nice state. Small towns remind me of my hometown back in the 70s. Got our there via Penn turnpike. Just what a shitty road. Don't think I'll travel that road any time soon. They should have paid me to travel in that busted up trail.
