UK Minister: "14 Banks Involved In Libor Scandal, Anyone Who Falsifies Market Indices Must Go To Prison"

From an interview today with German paper Handelsblatt:

Google Translation:

"Anyone who falsifies market indices, must go to prison."

British minister for financial market regulation Mark Hoban also called for investigators to have access to bankers' telephone, email, Facebook and Twitter accounts, in order to investigate criminal action.

The communications from the bankers on Facebook and Twitter should be monitored in the future.  Appropriate legislation should come into force in Britain until the end. According to the minister are the world "ten to 14 banks' involvement in the scandal over the manipulation of Libor.  First, the Barclays Bank had noticed it. "Barclays was the trigger for the investigation. These have shown that banks are involved in other EU countries, Japan and the U.S.," said Hoban.

I'll believe it when I see it!

Libor Scheme May Have Cost Muni Issuers Millions
http://www.bondbuyer.com/issues/121_130/libor-scam-cost-muni-issuers-millions-1041633-1.html

The meaning and provenance of Mr Tucker's October 2008 hint that Barclays' high Libor submission was ringing alarm bells is intriguing. But, for all the political hay-making and speculation about a grand conspiracy, it is Barclays' other Libor-related activities that should be the priority.

What the FSA revealed is repeated efforts by derivatives traders to have the bank's Libor submission tweaked to their advantage. Attempts to play down the exigencies of the worst crisis since the 1930s is bad; this, however, is worse. It is the clearest, most tangible evidence of the culture of casual, buccaneering amorality at the root of the near-collapse of the global financial system four years ago. As such, it is this that must be addressed. In such a context, the mud-slinging, party politicking, and barefaced expediency that has characterised the past week in Westminster should be seen for the sideshow it is.

I now know beyond any doubt whatsoever that, as Balzac wrote, ”Behind every great fortune, there is CRIME.”

Each and every one of these cretinous billionaire and trillionaire “people” should be Forcibly and Violently YANKED and Dragged by their Filthy HAIR out of their Mansions and Yachts; Leave 'em tin the Teeming Streets where they could then be tarred, feathered, paraded around in dunce caps and handcuffs, and then summarily and unceremoniously EXECUTED, preferably HANGED, in a public square.

They are, each and every one of these CRIMINALS, the true Dregs of society; They offer nothing at all of value; Rather they suck away at society and everyone that crosses their vile, reprehensible paths.

As for Obama, I say to him: Listen up, MAN…If you don’t hold the CRIMINALS thoroughly accountable for their CRIMES, your precious “Legacy” will be pilloried by the FACT that YOU, SIR, are a LYING DEMON, cut from the very same cloth as your buddies in the Banks and on Wall Street that bankroll you.

Furthermore, you are, without any doubt, to quote Cornell West now, “A black mascot of Wall Street oligarchs and a black puppet of corporate plutocrats.”

To further quote West on Obama, “And now he has become head of the American killing machine and is proud of it.”

What a Disgraceful TRAVESTY.

It appears there is no end to the crimes these bankers have committed. I think exicution for the Head criminals and life imprisonment for the rest who profited from the destruction of millions of Americans futures is a good place to start.
