Once again, the Love Police attempt to spread a message of freedom in a public area, only to be surrounded by agents of the Matrix―I mean private security personnel, who not surprisingly regurgitate the whole ‘this is private property’ argument in an attempt to make us leave.

Unless we do something about it, pretty soon the whole planet will be the ‘private property’ of private bankers and mega-corporations, and the personal freedoms we once enjoyed will become vague, distant memories.

Please do everything you can to circulate this video far and wide. Post it in blogs, bulletins, forums, chain emails… Upload it to your YouTube channel… Use your imagination…

Ladies, don't forget the rummage sale. It's a chance to get rid of those things not worth keeping around the house. Bring your husbands.

@ Bernanke

I think I get what you're trying to say, but why don't you be more clear...

Everything is private property, just not ours. Pay your mortgage off, and then stop paying rent (property tax), and see how quick they take back what is theirs.

It is the next perfect scam besides the Federal Reserve, as many old people get priced right out of the houses they paid for years ago by taxes that cost them more per month than their original mortgage payments.

Good points gomp...something we've never discussed here...property taxes and their effects on foreclosure...local municipalities and states see no end to their ponzi scheme...

"You'll probably enjoy this one gomp... "

Very familiar with it, how else do you think "artificial" corporations could get "real" persons rights, as which happened a year (?) ago, or imminent domain for corporations as recent examples of a long term siege against the rights of man as courts are efficiently converting from natural and Constitutional law, to contract law (U.C.C.).

Seek out your strawman.

“Sometimes the law defends plunder and participates in it. Sometimes the law places the whole apparatus of judges, police, prisons and gendarmes at the service of the plunderers, and treats the victim - when he defends himself - as a criminal.”

Frederic Bastiat

"Life, liberty, and property do not exist because men have made laws. On the contrary, it was the fact that life, liberty, and property existed beforehand that caused men to make laws in the first place.”

Frederic Bastiat

"property taxes and their effects on foreclosure"

Are you aware that many areas are still increasing house values for tax purposes because they need the revenue, despite the fact that real values are falling. Mine went up 40 grand this year and I had to fight them over it to get it reduced. Might want to check your own.

They have tried to do exactly the same for a lot i own...fought and had the appraised value reduced...by 40%...the assessed value was so much higher than the actual value...

I prefer to call it what it is, extortion.

Back in spring we got a notice that our tax's were going up 60%. We were already paying just under $3,000. a year as it was. We sold the haus in May 1993, and moved into our tour bus.

Now add the $1,800. to $3,000. and that poor "Sucker" that bought our old house in "Sconsin" is paying $4,800. just to live in the house. I got out just in time, and made $78,000. on the place.

Payed everything off and still had pleanty in the bank. "No, its all gone now", but we got a new start in Show Town. By now im sure he is paying $5,500. just to live in his house.

Wisconsin has some of the highest tax in the country. Mo. is on the low end. Just wait till the people see how much its gona cost just to be alive next year, 2011.

That "Sweet Boy Barry", will let the cat out of the bag next year. Many will Squeel, like Little Piggies when they find out. I know what little we have left this year will be short to cover Goverments screewing were gona be gettin next year..............!

Property tax encounters of the 3rd kind right here. Leonitus had better chances against Xerxes with his 300:

I witnessed first hand the exact scenario expressed by Gompers, "old people get priced right out of the houses they paid for years ago by taxes that cost them more per month than their original mortgage payments."

That's fine. With Bernanke in charge your choice will be to write a check for property taxes, or a loaf of bread. Won't be much of a spread between the two.
