My TSA Encounter - by Matt Kernan...

“You don’t need to see his identification.”

On November 21, 2010, I was allowed to enter the U.S. through an airport security checkpoint without being x-rayed or touched by a TSA officer.  This post explains how.

This past Sunday, I was returning from a trip to Europe.  I flew from Paris to Cincinnati, landing in Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.

Since I had nobody waiting for me at home and no connecting flight to catch, I had some free time.  I decided to test my rights.

After putting all my stuff through the x-ray, I was asked to go through the Backscatter.  I politely said that I didn’t want to.  The technician quipped to his colleague, “We’ve got an opt-out.”  They laughed.  He turned back and started to explain.

After he finished, I said, “I understand what the pat-down entails, but I wanted to let you know that I do not give you permission to touch my genitals or the surrounding area.  If you do, I will consider it assault.”

He called his manager over, who again informed me of the policy.  Throughout this event, this happened quite a few times.  After raising my concerns regarding the policy to an officer, they often simply quoted back the policy.  For the sake of brevity, I will simply say “Policy restatement.”

I said, “I am aware that it is policy, but I disagree with the policy, and I think that it is unconstitutional.  As a U.S. citizen, I have the right to move freely within my country as long as I can demonstrate proof of citizenship and have demonstrated no reasonable cause to be detained.”

Policy restatement.  “You have two options – the Backscatter or the pat down.  It is your choice, but those are the only ways you can go through security.”

I asked if I could speak to his manager.

“I’m the supervisor here.”

“Do you have a manager?”

“Yes, but he’s very far away at the moment.  And he’ll say the same thing I am.”  Policy restatement.

At this point, I took out my iPhone, activated the voice recorder, and asked The Supervisor, “Per my constitutional rights, I am not allowed to be detained without reasonable cause for arrest.  Now, am I free to go?”

He answered, “If you leave, we will call the APD.”

I asked, “Who is the APD?”

“The Airport Police Department.”

I said, “Actually, that’s probably a good idea.  Let’s call them and your manager.”

Part 4 of my encounter with TSA.  This is an uncut recording of the escorted walk out.  Not much here except for the beginning minute or so and the last 10 seconds.  But the length gives you an example of the absurdity involved - for this long I was walking down the long hallway flanked by 13 TSA officers and 2 cops, with all sorts of strangers looking at me curiously.

The Constitutional implications and the legal concept of innocent until proven guilty should be clearly defined by Obama and his Administration regarding their TSA procedures. That way, the citizenry or a talented freedom loving lawyer can take it to the courts and preempt violations of the Constitution and basic liberties at the airport. Obama refers to the Constitution as a charter of negative liberties. He views it as a flawed document and a living document that tells him what his government can’t do to you but it ignores what he and his government can do to you. Obama has decided that he knows best and he will interpret the Constitution for you and decide how you will be treated and mistreated at the airport. Worst case, Obama will have run it up the flagpole to determine how much the American people will tolerate before pushing back.

Poll: Majority oppose body scans, nearly half seek alternative to flying

The use of backscatter x-ray machines to scan travelers' bodies and new pat down procedures at airports will cause 48% of Americans to seek an alternative means of transportation, according to a Zogby International poll.

Of the 2,032 likely voters polled between November 19 and November 22, 61 percent said they oppose the use of body scanners and pat downs.

According to an internal memo from TSA/DHS, we might all be considered "domestic extremists" for not wanting our balls touched.

"It labels any person who “interferes” with TSA airport security screening procedure protocol and operations by actively objecting to the established screening process, “including but not limited to the anticipated national opt-out day” as a “domestic extremist.” The label is then broadened to include “any person, group or alternative media source” that actively objects to, causes others to object to, supports and/or elicits support for anyone who engages in such travel disruptions at U.S. airports in response to the enhanced security procedures."

I think that means Congressman Ron Paul, MD is a "domestic extremist." Although I'm pretty sure he's been on some kind of list for a long time anyway.

Exactly how many white people, African Americans, Oriental Americans, children, nuns, Jewish Americans, hot chicks, and people with medical implants have we had attacking America in the last 10 years?

Looks like the TSA has gone ahead with HR 1955, even though it is not a law. For the ping pong players, check the vote on this bill and see all the R's and D's are holding hands so admirably...

yep i thought about that...but then i check into the writing of the author...he doesn't seem too nutty...it feels legit to me...my guess is the memo is already outdated...it was probably an early response to all the criticism from a few days ago...but now they are getting it from all sources...they are getting railed even by couric on cbs...

The specific terrorist bomb plots and propaganda that brought us to this humiliating state of affairs began more than a year ago with what some cops discreetly called “the body bomb” and others, rather more coarsely, called “the butt bomb.”

The TSA is an animal being used to see how "cooperative" the sheople will be. In the future, marshal law will be imposed based on a biological emergency or some such false flag event. It's all a test. And most of the people are sheople. A lot of liberals are okay with the perverted pat downs as Obama and Pelosi, and reid are still in charge. If the President were a Republican, the crazie liberals would have the ACLU filing lawsuits. The TSA would be sequjestered and no one would be touching anyone. But we have the Rothchilds in charge of the prez and Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan and boyz calling the shots so fondle the genitals and get your ya-yas! The totalitarian governement is showing its true colors and we will soon be shut up for speaking anything that is not in the politically correct do and speak as we say play book. Wanna see oil prices go down. Buy 5-6 5 gallon gas cans and fill them over the next 5 weeks. Not all at once but one a week. Then after you have enough to fill your tank for the weel, then do not buy gas for a week. Watch oil and gas fall like a rock. No demand, much lower prices. Pass it on.

Lets see here.......! If the new scanners CANT Detect a powder in yr underwhAre, or inside your body. What good are they....? Oh, right, to make a select few "Very Very Rich"...& hire 10 million more voting Dem. doing the scrennings.

If the "Touch My Junk" pat down wont find any Powder inside your body, becouse they all know were on to them with the powder on the out side of their bodys now....what good are the new Pat Downs......................"Oh Yea, thats right, to touch little 12 year old girls and their mommys private parts.....!

Hey..............Wait...............but watching the vid, only 11% of the people flying go threw the new scanner, "Why"......they let 89% of the people go threw the old metal detector, How Come ? So, this year they will do it again with a Butt Bomb, or a lady this time with 2 powder-bombs down thAre, and next year the "Feel All-a-Round" your insides will be the new way of screnning.

Are you going to fly this season knowing our own goverment did this to us last year. After the goverment pulled off 911, the only reason behind it was to set up 3 new goverments to watch over the American People, Oh Right, and hire 28 million new voting Dems.
