The Natives Are Growing Restless Part 1 (Rep. Steny Hoyer Clip)
I enjoy the live, unscripted confrontations, especially when a career politician is repeatedly called a liar while attempting to give a speech. Here, Democrat Steny Hoyer is attacked and shouted down at a public presser presumably over his support of the Obama health care bill. This is only part 1, and we have a few more waiting in the wings. If you've seen something that fits the theme, by all means, send it our way.

From the Politbureau in Washington...
There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov
The only thing "fishy" I see is a president, given a prime time hour to sell his plan, yet could not articulate to the American people just what the hell it is. But "failure is not an option" so don't read it, don't talk about, don't discuss it, JUST SIGN IT, or your State is cut off from federal stimulus funding (i.e. Arizona's threatening letters from the O'Cabinet).

And if these blogs keep hacking away at my plan, I want to know about it? Intimidation! Unconstitutional! Chicago thuggery!
Yeah, something's fishy all right, but it's not on the web, it's on Capitol Hill. But this is a critical mistep for Obama. Americans won't lay down for this. Who knows, maybe there'll even be amassive coordinated DNS attack on the mailserver at whitehouse.gov :-)

We The People Don't Want You and We Don't Need You!
You will be getting the Memo in 2010.
I haven't been paying attention to the healthcare debate, but I find these protests intriguing. I'm sure there's an element of political coordination to these rallies, however the anger and frustration on the part of taxpayers seems real.
AB.
I continue to think that you are absolutely correct about 2010. These will be the most interesting midterm elections of my lifetime. There's a huge part of me that wants to get involved personally and run for the fourth district in Indiana. The incumbent is a republican Steve Buyer who has been in office since 1993.
My thoughts exactly. We must be on the same wavelength again because I had seen these last night but just didn't get around to posting them till now.

Those are the 3 videos I have lined up for further posts on this topic. The anger is palpable. I do not judge the issue only the voter response and anger. I certaqinly agree thqat we have problems with health care delivery in this country, but I will be the first to admit that I have no idea how they should be fixed and resolved.
Shucks. I wondered as much. I'll have to hunt for more. Astroturf or not, it's good for rousing the rabble. I loved seeing Sibelius have a little hissy fit. The WH, MSM and the Dems in general are really trying to marginalize these folks -- I guess with good reason (from their point of view).
Don't worry about it...we certainly have enough for a few good posts...I woul dlove to find some clips like this NOT focused on health care...and instead on the debt/deficit/bailout issues.
Yeah, I've been thinking about that, too. There's no reason we couldn't do the same thing with the bailouts, especially as we're gaining some traction with J6P. And besides, Daily Bail, you're an old hat at astroturf organizing ;-) [ http://dailybail.com/home/the-mother-of-all-irony-playboy-magazine-targets-the-daily-b.html ]
I'd love to ask my bank bondholder question and have a hundred people behind me heckling the hapless victim...
They could come to regret that in November 2010.
Crazier than communism!
Why complain about the tax payer is GIVING billions/trillions to the banks, Goldman, AIG and the rest, so you can pay that to an insurance company that will not pay out when you get sick?
You may well reply that it is more government intervention in your life. It was the LACK of government intervention that caused this current banking scam that people are calling a recession.
I am sorry that you guys won't have time for this, but, get yourselves a passport, get yourselves over to somewhere like Europe, or god forbid Canada and have a look. We are not the country that has people dying for lack of health care...
And no one is complaining about the health insurance payments.
