A short entry - AP Photographer Charlie Riedel just filed the following images of seabirds caught in the oil slick on a beach on Louisiana's East Grand Terre Island. As BP engineers continue their efforts to cap the underwater flow of oil, landfall is becoming more frequent, and the effects more evident. (8 photos total)

I sure hope so. The news will tell you they are all going to die. Yes, a lot of them will. BUT, As soon as the cameraman shuts down you can box the ones alive and take them to a bath in Dawn Dish Soap.
Its a lot of work, but well worth it to save as many as you can. We have rescued 10 Dumped Kittys in our resort. Our vet bills are taking everything we have. God is some how making it all work out. Dont ask me how were still in our cabin.
If we could get away from our kittys, we would head for the gulf and spend every moment we could helping the animals on the shore. Animal lovers should take thier Vac. time and help out. Would make God very happy.
Dont look at what happend, look at what we can do to help them after the fact. Times you can be very welthy just by giving. As always, what the goverment gets out of doing, its up to us to rescue the hurtting.
Eat sea food, not burgers & fries. Help the locals all you can, the goverment sure will step out as fast as they can. God will save the ones we cant get to.
If you cant go there, pray for the ones that can get away. Now we hear the leak could go on till Christmas. Nothing has worked so far, and they have ran out of ideas.

My next door neighbor down 3 ownes many oil wells from Kansas, Ok. & Texas all the way to the gulf, and Was 1/3 owner of a platform for 5 years. He too says that a platform can not "Expload"......catch fire, sure, but not Expload into a 300' fire ball instantly, burn off 700 thousand gal of diesel fuel, or crude and roll and sink.
It just dosent happen that way. A deck fire, sure. Evan taking down the tower. But all the crude and diesel is in thick walled tanks. How did it get out side and on fire. Not by a deck fire. The whole top deck could burn up and leave the oil still in thier tanks and under water.
In time, just like 911 the truth will come out....!
