The Death Of Freedom In America -- Peter Dale Scott (Video)

Please Email Video To A Friend

Take the time to watch the first 5 minutes.  You might be very impressed.

Watch

  • "The age of peaceful protest is over.  If you go to a peaceful demonstration you risk losing your hearing to this LRAD which is a monster.  In 1984 Orwell didn't have the imagination to foresee some of the things that we now have in place here."
  •  "Continuity of Government." COG -- It is a plan for the temporary suspension of the Constitution.  It was implemented for the first time before 10am on the morning of September 11th... Obama renewed this plan just last month.  And this is why the 9/11 report cant find some of the answers and orders because they were done at a higher level of clearance than they had in order to write the report.  And I feel like a voice in the wilderness here because no one has picked up on this."
  •  "This whole thing should be looked at and Congress first of all should find out what secret rules are being put in.  Somebody in Congress should have the right to do that.  We have an Intelligence Committee that can look at what the CIA is doing, I would have thought that Homeland Security would be the people who can see what secret rules that deal with Homeland Security.  This is a line in the sand whether we are going to go on having tripartite constitutional frame of government or not."
Some discussion of G-20 protests and police abuses.  We covered this in greater detail HERE.  There are 5 short embedded videos of police abuse in the clip.

Yesterday we bombed the moon and today the Tielesss One wins the Nobel Peace Prize. Have I died and woken up in Onion World?

On the other hand, can a Nobel Peace prize winner start, escalate and/or continue all those wars that involve murdering Muslims? Is that the real reason for the prize -- to keep Barack W. Obama from bombing the Persians? One would hope. Or maybe the members of the prize committe are as dumb as Democrats.

Damn, you're good...

Weisenthal at Clusterstock thinks it was a pre-emptive Prize to keep Obama from bombing Iran and expanding the war in Afghanistan...

He makes a decent point...kind hard to wage war when you're the reigning Peacenik of the Free World...

Here's a link to our coverage of the g-20 riots for those who haven't seen them...some pretty shocking video...5 clips in total...

WASHINGTON (AP) - Confronted with big job losses and no sign the U.S. economy is ready to stand on its own, Democrats are working on a growing list of relief efforts, leaving for later how to pay for them, or whether even to bother.

Kanye West and the Onion have officially entered the zeitgeist. I've seen some version of these several times this morning. I posted an Onion comment at the Big Picture Blog (hilarious thread, BR rips some guy a new one for telling him how to run his blog) and damn if someone else didn't post an Onion quip at the same time.

Seriously, someone should tell Kanye about the bailouts. "Barack, I'm gonna let you finish... But Goldman Sachs, got one of the biggest bailouts, of ALL TIME!..."

Mr. Ritholtz,
I enjoy your economic insights and consider this site, and others, as a must daily read. I recommend you stick to that formula and not waste your time (or mine) with your pet political commentary. It’s counter productive and there are many other competing sites on both sides of the political spectrum that cater to this subject. I’m a customer to your site and you are competing against others – as your customer I’m asking you to stick to what you do best. It’s a win-win. If you feel you must deviate from your economic commentary to satisfy whatever need you have within you, then I’ll go elsewhere.

~~~
Barry Ritholz: This site has become more or less successful because — and I think this is obvious — I don’t really give a flying fuck what many other folk think.
My posts are sincere and unvarnished and blunt. Anything that enters my field of vision is fair game. I write what interests or intrigues me, and if you like it, well that’s great, and if not, well oh well.
I do respect my audience, and often ask them what THEY think because I am curious and want to know. But I ask them about things that matter to me — politics not being in that category. Given how much we know about irrational brain activity as it relates to partisanship, I really don’t care what hyper-stimulated primate thalmus is excited about.
You are not obligated to read everything I write; But your suggestion that I self-edit because you disagree with what I post is an assinine non starter. It makes me think you are not a regular reader here.
As this is your 1st post — and with a garbage hotmail address — it means quite frankly means you won’t be missed.
Buh-Bye!
"Saudis ask for aid if world cuts dependence on oil"
More "poor rich criminals" to bail out.
Peter Dale Scott hits the nail on the head, these plans have been building for years.
