Ron Paul Clobbers Rick Perry In Latest Poll - In Texas

The State

Texas Rep. Ron Paul is well ahead of Texas governor Rick Perry, according to the latest poll conduced by Azimuth Research Group which finds Mr. Paul leading Mr. Perry in their home state of Texas.

Answering the question, “If the Texas Republican primary were held today, which presidential candidate would you be most likely to vote for?” 22 percent of those polled selected Mr. Paul. Just 17 percent of respondents voted in favor of Mr. Perry.

The poll comes just days after Mr. Perry announced his intention to seek the Republican presidential nomination. The Texas Republican governor had hinted at an entry earlier this year, testing levels of support for his candidacy.

Speaking earlier in the week, Mr. Paul lambasted Mr. Perry, saying the Texas Republican is an extension of the Republican establishment.

“[Governor Perry] is getting into the race, I think, doesn’t bother me at all, obviously because he pretty much represents the status quo. And the other candidates, in one way or the other, are part of the status quo. And I represent something different,” Mr. Paul said.

Meanwhile Ron Paul is trending 4th of all internet topics on Alexa.

Your picture that is posted on this story is pure genius! It captures what I think Rick Perry can do with his Liberal BS. That guy is Slick Willy's long lost brother!

What the (mainstream) media is doing to Ron Paul is having the opposite effect... when people looked to the "tea party," they were looking for outsiders. Ron Paul has had the (R) next to his name for a long time while serving in Washington, and that's okay. But they create a kind of "forbidden fruit" by refusing to acknowlege that he is still even in the race, and doing quite well, apparently.

While avoiding Paul, and the "old school" methods of veiled, surreptitious, or even plain old bogus attacks altogether, the vacuum left has filled with the "dead birds" stories falling around Bachmann and Perry's past and present, all of which seem to make Paul a better candidate, who really doesn't have any "real" skeletons to deal with that haven't already been addressed, and dismissed.

It all threatens to open up outright on the question of religion/faith, which is a serious quagmire and "killing ground" for Romney, Bachmann, and Perry altogether. Is this the paln all along?

The MSM is a lifetime member of THE BIG CLUB. I don't expect too much from these A-HOLES.

Does Ron Paul demand these jobs in the above links be eliminated? GOVT is too big?

VOTE "TR' in 2012!! I'm as dumb as all the REP candidates combined. You would be getting a complete package.

Paul is going to win in Texas there is no doubt about it. However, I think he doesn't have much chance against Obama.

I wonder just by chance, what if RP did win the RNC, and what, how, could, MSM have to talk about..........? Im just dreamming here, but realy, just think of the day after the votes came in.

The country is starting to wake up. RP says all the right things "American People" are wanting to hear. It took Obama to wake up this country. We should send him and family on a nice trip......WAIT, hes doing it on his own.....

I would love Chuck Todd, and all of his "Low Life Buddies" have to say RP won at the poles, the American People Have Spoken.....................!
