Robert Rubin - An IMF Bailout For The U.S.?

Video:  Rubin speaks to students at Princeton...

Just watch the first 2 minutes.  Before someone snaps at comments, I understand that an IMF bailout of the U.S. is an impossibility - they don't have enough capital, we fund the majority of their budget, etc. - specifically because of the dollar's reserve status.  Ultimately, we can devalue our way out of the problem, and that is what's happening now, to a certain extent.

Wow, I saw your comment about it being from 2005 after I watched the video and couldn't believe it. The funny thing is if that question was actually brought up today, he would probably deny any possibility of it.
